Came in to have road rash wound inspected and possible tetanus shot or medication issued. Within three minutes of being submitted. I was transferred out of the urgent care over to ER to wait in line for six hours and get even worse service. No communication on what they were doing to for me. I was treated like an inconvenience. read more

I've been to this place twice... and both times the physicians, nurses, receptionists have just been absolutely wonderful to me. The doctor (Dr. Caputo), herself called me after my appointment yesterday to update me with some lab results. I've worked for a couple of physicians before, and they never really took the time to call their own patients. So I was highly impressed that she would follow my case from start to finish like that instead of handing it off to one of her office staff. read more

Definitely have had my "Sharp Experience" a few times. Dr. Levey is my dr and he and his nurse are amazing. They care, truly. They call to check up on me. I can get ahold of them almost always. Today I needed to pick up an inhaler from them, they close at 5. I was on the freeway stuck behind an accident and called the receptionist at 4:57. She told me she would wait to leave until I could get there. I expressed I didn't know how long it would be and she reassured me it was no problem, she would be there waiting. I got there just before 5:15 and was greeted warmly with a smile. This place hast vote. Everyone is amazing and truly caring. read more

I usually never ever go to urgent cares. I typically expect long waits and under trained medical staff. I only went here due to necessity bc my workers comp required a sharp facility. From beginning to end the level of care was incredible. The front desk, nurse and doctor I met were amazing! They were really nice and attentive. This hospital is not the closest facility to my house but it is by far worth the extra drive. If I ever need an urgent care I am going back to this one. read more

Room 601 waited for drug screen they tell you 30 minutes and it was actually almost 2 hours!!!!!

Dr Eric Reed is the most wonderful doctor!!!! I delivered my daughter 15 months ago and she ended up being tongue tied and coming a month early. Her assigned doctor wouldn't clip her tongue and I was unable to feed her because of the pain. She ended up extremely jaundice. Dr Reed wasn't even my doctor at the time, but a nurse knew that he cared for babies with tongue ties, and asked him to see me. Even though he didn't have to, he not only came to assess my daughter, he clipped her tongue and things quickly improved with feeding her. She ended up being readmitted for jaundice and he made sure to give me the choice of going to a lower level care unit instead of the NICU, so I could have a quieter environment. Even though I am a nurse, it was a scary experience, and he walked me through every step with compassion. He never seemed to be in a rush and made a point to make me a part of every decision made. At one point my daughter ended up in the ER with a stomach bug and he came and found me and made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. I can't say enough about Dr Reed. He has a background in Eastern medicine, has a vast understanding of all different ways of caring for patients. He respects me and my decisions, and doesn't push anything on me, but makes sure I have as much information as possible to ensure that I make the most informed decision for my daughter. I'm about to have my second baby and am 100% confident that we are in the best hands with Dr Reed. He is kind, caring, invested in his patients, and extremely smart. read more

I had concern about my insurance and Mary Ann o took complete effort to make sure that I am fully covered and called me after hours to give me all the information this is great customer care service and I appreciate that thank you read more

I just tried this place, and I loved it. Dr. Buchner, Jr. and nurse Deanne were fantastic! I missed my annual physical last year because I wasn't a fan of my doctor in Hillcrest, but I'm so glad I found Dr. Buchner! And they have a great App here to follow my health! read more

There are some wonderful people in the lab, x-ray, urgent care, and pediatrics departments, Unfortunately my experience with my primary care provider was one of the most unhappy experiences of my life. After arriving early as requested by the staff, I was forced to wait over an hour after my appointment time for the doctor on most occasions. They also don't listen and I was once contacted about the wrong body part. The parking garage is a fiasco of a poor design and it is difficult to both drive and park in. I would give zero stars based on my experience with the doctor, but I will give it two for the people that are trying hard and doing a great job. I often wrote notes to commend those that did great work. It's unfortunate to have had such an unpleasant experience. read more

Usually I HATE absolutely LOATHE going to the Dr's! But I dont mind trips to see Dr. Nordling @ this office! When I walked in , I was greeted by a very nice funny older lady names Roseanne. She was very helpful and filled with little quirly comments, not annoying just snazzy. Betsey the nurse practioneer whom I usually see, is great ! Honest and totally listens to everything you have to report or are saying to her. Most RN's or Dr's seem like theyre not intrested or your just full of it, not Betsey and thats why She is Awesome! My Dr. Dr.Nordling, is very good! She doesnt think iM crazy, she is attentive to whatever the situation maybe . I think sometimes I scare her, but she is always complementative and very positive, whatever the case may be! SO Yey Sharp Reese Steely for actually being productive on something !! read more

I've had nothing but great experiences with Sharp. When I call to make an appointment and check coverage, every single person I've spoken with had been very pleasant and professional on the phone. I spoke with a nurse this afternoon that was extremely understanding of my situation and was more than happy to get a message to the doctor immediately so I am able to get my prescription as soon as possible. Every time I've gone in the nurses have been very nice and one even helped me look for a job when I told him I was looking a while ago. With an appointment I was in and out of the office well within an hour and didn't feel I was being rushed at all. My only complaint with them is the facility itself could use some updating and TLC but that's it. Keep up the good work Sharp! read more

This place is great. I have been here 3 times within 2 weeks and Im always in and out within an hr. Staff is awesome and very friendly and so are the doctors. read more

I have been nothing but impressed with the outstanding care I received throughout the SHARP Medical Group. Everyone that has treated me has truly made an organizational effort to make patient care their first priority, which has been demonstrated throughout every stage of my comprehensive care. I had to come in due to sharp abdominal pain. Waited less than 20 minutes to get seen. The staff was all around amazing from the receptionists to the nurse(Christine) she was caring, patient, and very aware of my needs. The doctor was also very pleasant and informative. They are just great! read more

This facility has great customer service. Whether your the front desk receptionist or the MD. Everyone so far has been wonderful. I have had horrific experiences in the past with a medical professional and it prevented me from trusting any medical professional. Sharp has slightly restored my faith. Thank you:) read more

I woke up Valentines day morning with huge hives all over, including my lips and my throat was painful. Knowing how bad this could go we opted to find an urgent care. We went to Sharp Rees-Stealy Urgent Care. The intake receptionist was kind, cheerful and got everything done in an efficient manner. When we completed the paperwork I was offered coffee or tea and even an ice pack if needed. The wait times were posted on a whiteboard in the reception area and were consistent with the time we had to wait. They do triage here so if you're not really urgent you may have a longer wait. I was taken directly from triage to an exam room. Chris, the nurse who did the initial vitals and history was also really nice and cheerful. He also reassured me that coming in early for my condition was the right thing to do. The doctor was a nice woman (I'm so sorry I can't remember your name!) I was given a handful of meds for the swelling and itching. They had us wait to ensure that I didn't have an allergic reaction and then I was sent home with prescriptions and a folder with discharge instructions. They even provided a list of 24-hour pharmacies as it was a holiday weekend and my regular pharmacy was not open. Overall, I can say that it was the best Urgent Care facility I've ever had. read more

Had a procedure at Grossmont surgical center. The staff nurses and doctors are all a group of professional people. They made us feel comfortable relaxed and confident the procedure would be done quickly and accurately. They were informative and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. If you need to have a procedure done this is the place do not hesitate. However be prepared to pay for parking. Not their fault. read more

I love Sharp Rees-Stealy La Mesa because of it's free parking and the onsite laboratory. I go here to see my doctor, Dr. Christine Nordling. I don't think she is accepting new patients. Dr. Nordling is very attentive, thorough and engaging during all my visits. She made sure that I understand everything about my health and that all my questions have been answered before I leave her office. read more

Appointment was for 1:15pm. Showed up at 12:45pm. It is now 2:40pm and still waiting. Let's spend all day here. Why have 3 staff members at the front if only one of them is going to work .... No biggie if it's a 30 min wait but come on guys. You have a business to run, we have lives to lead read more

Short wait, great doc took care of 2 spider bites that absessed. When returned next day to be checked, got a different doctor. This guy was not a pleasant experience, very rough, would not numb the site before yanking out the packing and gouging with big q-tip to clean out, told my son to bear it! Was excruciating pain!!! Why don't doctors listen????? Never see that guy again. The low stars are because of this one doctor, the first doc seen was amazing, and the staff good too. read more

Ms. Jack of All Trades "Juni" who works in pediatrics provided exceptional customer service and care. I am new to the Sharp family and she welcomed me with open arms after two individuals lead me astray earlier. God Bless that angel. read more

I've been a member here for years. I never want to change my doctors again! Best people, best care. Every visit is always a short wait. I've never had to wait a long time to see the doc at the scheduled time. I'm not rushed and the personal attention has always been great. Like we're old friends and they truly care about me. They're focused on me and always make me feel like they are truly committed to my well being. They're always sure to inform me of options so I am able to make the best, educated choices for me & my health. The place is clean and the care is good, but very busy. Every time I've been there, I've had to wait 50 - 60 minutes for the nurse to call me to go to the examination room after arriving on time for my appointment. Parking is pretty busy, too. Sometimes, it can take up to 30 minutes to get a spot. read more

Love the doctors and staff. Very disappointed in their response time for referrals. Have to wait 5-7 business days for a phone call to make an appointment. My son needs a post surgery follow-up appointment with an orthopedic surgeon in two weeks and I have no doubt, that with their poor turnaround time, that he will not get seen on time. P/S Even the VA doesn't take this long to contact you, when a referral to another department is made read more

Their hyperbaric chamber and staff are exceptional! They are compassionate, professional and deliver high quality services.

I increased my rating because they responded to this review but not my letters, however, the problem is resolved but I won't go back to them because of their HMO style of treatment. read more

I am so incredibly happy with Dr. Hardisty and the Sharp Reese Stealy group! I'm a first time mom and have had many questions. If it's during business hours, Dr Hardisty herself calls me back same day and always answers my questions so graciously and patiently. If it's not during business hours, the nurse line is wonderful as well. I am so relieved to know that any time of day, I can get help for my baby! Dr. Hardisty is so thorough with the check ups and actually sits down to answer any questions that I might have. I never feel rushed, I feel like I have someone who cares about my child and her wellbeing. The nurse practitioner is also phenomenal. I can't remember her name but she is blonde and wonderful. We've seen her twice and have left the office feeling so happy and taken care of! I actually joked with my mom that if I could have anyone babysit my baby, it would be the nurse practitioner because she really shows how much she cares about the kids! I would recommend this office over and over again! The support staff at the front are also so kind and helpful which is rare from my experience! read more

You know never really had a problem with sharp other then billing. My experience with their radiology department makes me thinking I'll switch. They where rude. They messed up my appointments at the down town location. At this one they gave HORRIBLE direction ( not their fault the place is a maze.) but they where rude as well even the tech seemed to be disrespectful. We RAN out of this place. Didn't even bother validating our ticket read more

I had an operation on my leg on 12 April 2013 to remove five major tumors. The operation was performed by Dr. Khrisnamoorthy and I can't say enough about his professionalism and kindness. The operation was more complicated than anticipated, but it was carried out without a hitch. The hospital staff were attentive and made my stay as painless as possible, I am grateful for their efforts and, needless to say, Dr. Khrisnamoorthy is without a doubt, is the best doctor that I have had. I know being in the hospital is never a "fun" experience, but it helps when your nurse is very attentive and comforting. I have been in and out of the hospital a couple times too many for the last month. Even though I am not better it helps to have an understanding concerned nurse around while your in pain. Nick, was the last and best nurse I have ever had, and I could not thank him enough! He was sympathetic to my pain and got me exactly what I needed as fast as possible. Even though my problem has not been resolved I really appreciate the attention I received on my last visit and want to say Thank You!! read more

It's not often that I am impressed with a health care facility, but I recently went here to see a doctor, and I was extremely impressed with the entire staff from start to finish. I waited only about 30 minutes to be taken back when going there on a Tuesday afternoon, and the nurse quickly took my vitals and information and took me back to a "room" (aka curtain area). To me, that is the only thing lacking in this facility is privacy. I could hear everything going on medically with the people in the two "curtain" areas adjacent to mine, but let's face it, they only have so much room.. Anyway, the PA saw me quickly and assessed my situation. She ordered labs, x-rays, and EKG. Communication was outstanding, all involved let me know what was going on and how long it would take. All were completed quickly, like within an hour they were all done. The blood work results were back in LESS then an hour! I am amazed at how fast they are able to get the lab work done here. All told, I was in and out the door in a little over 2 hours with an X-ray, EKG, and lab work done, and a clean bill of health fortunately, my "emergency" wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I am very impressed and will definitely return if I need urgent care. read more

I have to agree with some of the other reviews regarding the OBGYN department. Terrible and they completely ruined the first 7 months of my first pregnancy experience. Rude staff, "I don't care attitude" from front desk and doctors (Gray and Journagin) never knew who my doctor was and kept scheduling me with doctors I already expressed I didn't want to see, front desk/scheduling is lazy and doesn't take any time to actually do their job, charged me copays when I didn't owe one and still haven't reimbursed me (I disagree that knowing copays strictly falls on the patient), doctors were dismissive with my concerns and questions, refused to see me when I was sick and concerned about the health of the baby, never spent any time to explain anything to me and canceled and rescheduled appointments for different dates without talking to me about it first. I switched OB doctors at 7 months and have already received so much more care and information about my pregnancy at the Kearny Mesa location than I received at La Mesa. There are pamphlets and information Kearny Mesa provided to me that should have been given to me in the beginning, but La Mesa never provided. If they had, it would have saved me a lot of time from worrying about things I was so confused about. I wish I had never gone to Grossmont as they are not a good representation of SRS OBGYN department. If you're looking for a peaceful prenatal care facility, keep looking. Try Kearny Mesa if it works with your schedule. read more

I usually hate going to the doctor, emergency room or urgent care for any reason because the wait and process takes forever. However, the wait at this location was not all that bad. Karina helped me by checking me in and was so professional, kind, and efficient that she made my experience there so much better. Im too tired to fully get into story, but this place is so disorganized it pretty incredible that anything gets done......At All....

Beware and watch out for erroneous and duplicate charges for lab tests and injections that are vaguely coded to look accurate and are actually unnecessary from Sharp Rees Stealy Medical Group Inc. You won't realize this until you receive claim from your insurance company. Sharp Rees-Stealy deceptively overcharges the patient and happily collects $$$ from the insurance company. read more

What a waste of 2 hours... Came in for flu-like symptoms and vomiting only to leave without any medication or prescription. Took the nurse & Dr.King 30 + mins to come back to read the strep throat & flu test which is only suppose to take 5 min max.. So how do they know 30 min the test would then be invalid? These ppl just wanted to go home & not worry about bedside manner or treating sick ppl. I denied to take the Zofran due to recall, I asked for a substitute medication and Dr.King says to treat what? You can come back if you still feel fever and chills... For what? So I can have another 1,000 bill?? At that point I was over it just wanted to go home. Lost all my patience with this place & the staff. The receptionist has horrible attitude was caught rolling her eyes by another patient and yup the patient did call her out on it. The only upside about this place was the triage nurse Graciela, if I were you I'd find a better place... Please do not become a nurse or a doctor if you can not live up to incredible bedside manner let alone do your job the correct way bc here I am still with fever, chills & vomiting. read more
