The nurses and doctor's take pride in what they do. I've been there on several occasions and I have been very happy in feeling like a person rather than a number. Now that is healthcare. read more

They are the best! ! They take care of you, all the staff is super nice. They explain things to you and just showed that they cared!

I was in car accident and a lot of pain. The care and the service that I received in this urgent care was excellent. From the moment I walked in the receptionist then the nurse Emmy the doctor Paula and x ray tech Fay where all very nice. Thank you read more

One busy clinic. The receptionists, nurses and doctors are all trying to keep this clinic running like clock work. Despite being busy and looking stressed, they maintain their coolness and professionalism. If you want immediate attention from a doctor don't come to this place and go see your primary doctor. I will give this place five star for what the staff put up on a daily basis. read more

Dr. Richard Clark is probably the best doctor I've ever been to. Too bad he's an ear, nose & throat specialist, and not a family medicine doctor, or I'd switch to him in a heartbeat! From the moment he entered the room, he knew all about my medical history and my concerns. He had studied up before my appointment and knew what course of action he was going to take. He has great people skills and really engages the patient, explains things in terms patients can understand and takes their concerns seriously. He listened thoroughly to my concerns and assured me we had time to talk and not to feel rushed. Most importantly, he seemed genuinely concerned about my ongoing medical issue, and urged me to keep pursuing answers, and not to let other doctors make me feel like I was imagining things. He ordered appropriate tests and even set up a follow up appointment to see how my progress was going. I only wish all Sharp doctors could be like him! read more

Does anyone notice the great number of negative reviews in regards to Sharp Rees-Stealy? Its customer service then posts a response asking you to contact them to see how they can fix the problem. The only problem is they do absolutely nothing. Have a bad experience(s) and write about it on Yelp, then Sharp Rees-Stealy posts a pleasant post saying contact us and we'll fix it. Sharp's customer service is worse than its medical service. Stay away! It's Third-World medical care followed up with Kafkaesque customer service. read more

They are wonderful when it comes to patient privacy and great patient service unfortunately I wish wait time wasnt so long its like u get to any hospital nan have to check in and wait 1hour to see someone read more

This review is for URGENT CARE Facilities I had no idea how good I had it with sharp before I had to switch to Kaiser. The staff here are attentive and helpful and always ready to make you the most comfortable, the longest I have ever had to wait is an hour, and the doctors spend all the time they need with you to educate and treat you. I've had better care here than my normal doctors appointments. I wish I had never switched!!!! Sharp please take me back!!! read more

This really is a great place with doctors that care, people that are understanding of you and your problems... Every time I've gone to get blood work it's been very fast never longer than 10 minutes I'm 42 years old and I've had a lot of blood work done and it's always really quick in that lab and they're always really good and friendly.....today the lady played music and it help me a lot relax... I've been to the Urgent care a few times and they have just really been great there's never a long wait, it's really a good place and I'm happy that it's close to where I live because when I'm not feeling good the last thing I wanna do is wait. read more

This is my go to urgent care. I used to have sharp medical group and I was not satisfied with the care that I was getting from the nurse practitioner or partners urgent care. Anyways!! Came here because I got a dog bite and the receptionist that helped me was soooooooo sweet and kind! I did not wait too long to get called in either, the RN Abigail and another nurse I forgot her name.. Are always so nice. You can tell that they love helping people as for the Doctors also. This is where you should be treated!!!! read more

IThe front staff was really nice. Dr. Blake was great he was attentive and compassionate. Towards me I was in and out quickly with everything I needed. His assistants were very prompt polite and friendly. Even the X-ray tech was very nice to me. I will go again, if needed the wait is much less than the er room. Thank you all the staff made a hard situation much easier to manage. read more

Getting my lab results, I actually like getting a check up, what I don't like is the wait time, they tend to take quite a while to call u even after u made an appointment :-| thus is not my fav. spent time. read more

I've had Sharp since my mom was pregnant with me and I refuse to have any other provider. Even though there are cheaper ones, you definitely get what you pay for and this Urgent Care is the main reason I always make sure I keep Sharp. I've never had a negative experience and I've been here dozens of times throughout my life. Even at their peak times I've never waited more than 45 minutes in the last few years and I come a handful of times each year. They always make sure you're comfortable, asking if you want pain medicine, cough drops, there's always coffee and tea, I even got hot chocolate once. Not to mention, I'm never disappointed in the movies they're playing in the waiting room. They make sure you're comfortable all the time I have always had the nicest nurses and doctors that help. They don't just tell you your diagnosis but they'll give you packets with more information on it and really go into depth about what's wrong with you. For people that have had a poor experience, I hope you give them another chance! read more

They tell you to come in 30 minutes before your appointment so you can stand in line for 10 of those staring at the back of a computer. But don't sit down or they'll "forget" you're waiting. read more

5 stars solely for the ladies at the Urgent Care desk. GIVE THESE WOMEN A RAISE! I deal with businesses, business owners, doctors, etc daily, for a living, & they give the absolute best service I have ever experienced. I recently came in for getting the nasty flu going around. I refrain from ever going to the doctor unless I am in dire need. Not a fan of co-pays & being charged for things I dont really need (like crutches I assumed were covered by my ins and was not informed of otherwise- I had some at home I could have used) Despite all this, I felt like I was dying. Of course I wasn't but, just the check in process was so reassuring & relaxing in a way. Almost forgot I was sick! They are funny, charismatic, and just so pleasant to deal with. I wish I remembered names in case they're not always the same! Hope they see this & remember me so they know I'm talking about them. Small talk relating to patients can go a long way when you're feeling under the weather. The 2 hour wait ended up a little over an hour. The Dr saw me in an office, not an exam room, but I actually appreciated this since it gave them more rooms to work with. Downstairs had gotten flooded so they were limited as it was. I didnt spend that much time with the Dr but I just needed to know I wasn't dying, which he confirmed & was right. I'm still here! He gave me some codeine & recommended a homepathic medicine to lessen my symptoms. Getting me to go to the Dr is the hardest thing but I feel they gave me a reason to come back. These ladies made my time here enjoyable. Thanks!! read more

Sharp Rees-Stealy - 2nd floor waiting room - Medical Centers Near Me - Chula Vista, California

Worst customer service ever on the medical occupational receptionist been here 4 separate occasions there is always 3 girls working the desk and everything time they make you wait in line till one of them decides to get off the computer and help you you can always tell they try the hardest to avoid calling you up to the desk finally I get called and the idiots forget to check me in properly so after 2 hours I asked what was going on and told me I was never checked in it will be another 2 hours what a joke read more

I'm writing this review while I'm in a room. I have been here since 9:00 am (it is currently 12:28pm) but the help I've received was well worth that wait. While in the waiting room I was offered coffee or tea and kept updated on my wait time. The doctor came out and told me he didn't have a room but we can start in his office while a room opened up. That I thought was great that he would think about reducing wait times and come up with a good alternative like that. I had to get some X-rays and other work done and every person I met was so friendly. I didn't feel rushed or like I was being overlooked dispute how busy they were. Something that really stood out for me was that while they were doing things, like hooking me up to the IV, they explained everything and why it was chosen for my issue. Its great that they take the time to explain things and make sure you actually understand. read more

Terrible customer service with drug screening. Be prepared to wait 2 hrs. Avoid this place

The worst hospital in the south bay! Period! Every single time I come here, there's always a long freaking waiting period! I've been waiting for over 2 hours for a freaking concussion and, still have yet to be seen by even a nurse! Ridiculous! read more

Check-in Yvette made me cry with her kindness and concern. The beautiful nurse with the 20 year old son at SDSU was very attentive. The Hispanic nurse who found my impossibly difficult vein for the IV and patiently explained technical details helped a lot. The nice young lady with the 2 year old toddler was sweet and professional. The X-Ray technician was very accommodating and promised copies of my X-Ray on CD, not concerned about an inconvenience. And NP Mike explained everything and put my mind at ease, examining every detail and offering a solution and hypothesis. The male discharge nurse at the end of the day seemed exhausted but still happy to help with anything I needed. I was stunned by the professionalism, courtesy, and kindness of this amazing team. It felt like concierge service. I cannot thank you enough and appreciate that there are professionals like you, working hard every day, to help people like me and my neighbors in Chula Vista. Thank you!! Date of visit 8/9/16, JG. Well done. Thank you! read more

Here for the lab..expected lots of people but waited no more than 3 minutes to be called ..lab tech very polite and gentle...total of 10 minutes max in and out! :) great service read more

Overall a good place. This is mostly (or only?) For injuries that happened at work. So I've been here through my same employer twice already, once 3 years ago and once last week. They really try to get you in and out quickly and all the employees seem very nice. I went in last week to urgent care and was out in about an hour. Then I went in for my follow up last week and that also was in and out. My medicine from the pharmacy downstairs is the only part that took long, but overall it was still quick. read more

I took my father to the urgent care here in November and we had an excellent experience. Went there yesterday after a night of coughing, not sleeping, fevers, and...well you get the picture. I went first thing in the morning at 8am because my doctor was out sick. I was the first one seen and the receptionist was really nice. The nurses all seemed in a good mood and the doctor that helped me was nice and fast. Was in and out in an hour (including getting meds). The guy at the pharmacy was a bit weird though. read more

I came into Urgent Care with second degree burns on both my hands. The front desk agents realized quickly that I was not in the Sharp Medical Group and walked me through the steps of calling my insurance provider to change the Medical Group. Everyone was friendly and professional. Clean and just overall the best urgent care I have been to.

This review is not about the staff at Sharp. The staff at Sharp have a good reputation. I hear they are great! I'm giving this site on 3rd and H St two stars because our car was recently stolen from the open parking garage there, a garage with no cameras. They do have a security guard and the guard does make the rounds, but one guard can't be out in the parking lot all the time. The guards have apparently asked the company to install surveillance cameras to monitor the garage, but that has apparently gone nowhere. Staff are nice, but we're now down a car and absolutely no leads for the local police department. Two stars for no surveillance and for not listening to the concerns of your very nice guards. read more

This is probably the worst healthcare my wife and I have received in San Diego. My wife has anxiety and the staff are not well informed in treating people with anxiety. The staff their trigger her anxiety and I suspect some of the staff get a rise out of it. My wife went to get her blood pressure checked and the nurse insisted on using the machine even though she requested the manual. The nurse was probably lazy. When they finally used the manual, her blood pressure was high because she was anxious and angry. Not trauma informed. I would choose another company if you need healthcare in San Diego. read more

LOVE SRS! Every experience I've had here has been a great one. Soooo glad I've switched over from "Killer Kaiser".

Urgent care centers are often worse than the ER. I have been to this Urgent Care several times. There haven't been many people waiting any of the times we went in. The doctors and nurses are attentive and very thorough. Consistently so! read more

Got in and out of urgent care quickly. Service at pharmacy was horrible! When I checked in I simply asked about how long the wait would be. The lady rolled her eyes and said about 30 minutes. 50 minutes later I checked in and my order was finally ready. No one called my name. The entire time I was waiting the pharmacist and two other workers were yucking it up. Loud, obnoxious, clearly not focussing on their jobs. Wonder how many times people have gotten the wrong medication with these morons. They acted as if they were doing me a favor by doing their jobs. I only went here because it was attached to urgent care. I could have gone to CVS and been home in the time it took. This facility is filthy. Stained carpets. Chairs in waiting area were sticky. Going home to take a shower. More from the nastiness of the facility than the germs of other people. read more

I have several things to say about SR-SCV: Relative to the situations that I am in (i.e. scheduled doctor visit, urgent care visit), the wait times are acceptable. Yeah, I've had to wait for over an hour sometimes, but then again, I don't have an appointment and there are numerous people around me coughing, wearing masks, and most likely like myself--without an appointment. For my scheduled doctor visits, I've been called in fairly quickly. I think that you have to come in with reasonable expectations. I mean, if you're in UC, you better be prepared for the worst and not expect to be seen right away! I have had both Dr. Montoya and Dr. Rowell as my PCP and I cannot say enough great things about them. The only reason I have for changing from Dr. Montoya to Rowell has nothing to do with Dr. Montoya himself; it was a personal choice...both are amazing! Both seem to really listen and are very engaging. So I have been to this urgent care numerous times for my clumsiness, weak lungs, susceptibility to cold/flu/bronchitis/U-name-it and I have been treated with the utmost empathy and kindness. I've seen Dr. Blake and another UC doctor (30-40's maybe, pretty fit, shaved head). Both doctors were very thorough and I felt confident in their treatment plans. The reception staff are very efficient and from my observations and experiences, make each person feel they are truly recognized. I've waited in almost agony behind people who take a long time through intake, but understand that I'm not the only person who is not feeling well and no one likes to be rushed. I'm glad the people up front take their time and do their best to be quick, yet give great service. Xray has also been very good on my last 3 visits. Everyone was very nice and took very good care of me...with a smile! They walk me to and from the rooms so that I don't get lost, as well as make sure your modest despite how invasive these tests are (they are looking at your bones!). One person I'd like to point out is LVN Dennis Q. for being very conscientious of patients in his care. The last time I was there, I had been waiting for a LONG TIME in the exam room (like almost an hour..after waiting in the waiting room...LOTS of sick people). He popped his head in several times to see if I was okay and if I had been seen yet...then would leave and get an ETA of the doctor to report to me. It made me feel better knowing I wasn't forgotten behind a closed door and that someone was actually looking after me. Afterwards, he drew my blood and I was impressed (again) as he was a one-stick-and-done kind of lab vampire (sometimes it takes a few pokes to get blood). In summary, go here. You won't regret it! This is a very well-managed clinic with good people. They should all be very proud of themselves and one another. read more

I can't help but give this place five stars!!! I brought my boyfriend in on a Sunday morning around ten. I must first add that the place was close to empty which was surprising for an Urgent Care facility. Anywho, we got in and were instantly greeted by a cheerful security guard at the front who directed us to urgent care. Once we reached it, we were greeted by a super friendly lady at the front. I wish I remembered her name, but she was great. She informed us without hesitation that with the insurance my boyfriend carried, we weren't eligible to be seen at the facility since he did not already have a primary care provider at the facility and hadn't been seen there recently. Now under normal circumstances, I would have been P.O'd about wasting the time and gas to drive down there. But she was so friendly, we couldn't help but to be friendly in return. She informed us that the best thing to do in our situation was to head to the emergency room... Uck! Who wants to sit in the waiting room of an emergency room for six hours, that's the point of going to an urgent care facility right? Well, she informed us that the Coronado Emergency Room had the shortest wait time. She also told us that she had heard great things from patients who had had to be seen at the er there lately. So, long story short, we followed her instructions and she was right! The wait time was incredibly short and we were in and out in no time! Although we weren't able to actually see a doctor here, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful which is why I am giving them this five star review!!! read more

The Lady PA that works there is horrible! I think her name is Priya? It seems like she don't know what she is doing, she will just give you pain medicine to mask the pain but strongly refused to do X-ray. I was at the urgent care earlier today because my 8year old was not feeling well. I called to make sure they would accept my insurance which they did. So we went in within 30min. Tiffany remembered me from our phone conversation and was very nice about explaining everything to me. Our nurse was Mike who was also very helpful and nice.
