It's a shame that more people don't know about this little store, because there is nothing else…read morelike it in this food wasteland that is the Woodburn/Hubbard/Canby area. They carry a wide variety of whole food pantry staples (no produce or meats), most of which are available organic. Many things are available in bulk quantities and their prices are reasonable. Whole Foods and New Seasons have nothing on their selection of grains, legumes, nuts, dried fruits, and sweeteners. They also carry a good selection of healthy oils, canning supplies, baking supplies, raw organic cocoa powder, some essential oils and soapmaking supplies, kitchen items, juices, teas and natural sodas, and a lot of other misc things for the whole foods crowd. There never seems to be much of anyone in there -I hope they will be able to stay in business in an area where people are conditioned to buying really awful food at Safeway and Walmart.

The downside is the prices -- definitely on the steep side compared to other places. Part of what you're paying for is the benefit of a local shop, and the service is good, just nothing that really stands out. Overall, it's solid for fresh local meats, but not always the best value.

After several negative experiences and a lack of selection at Costco, I cut up my membership and…read morestarted coming here instead for food items. I buy a lot of bulk items for meal prep- things like oats, flour, beans, rice, vegetables, etc. The prices here are awesome; in store, you'll pay about $2 a pound for oats (store brand) but here it's $1 for Bob's Red Mill organic oats. Same deal for other dry shelf goods- as someone getting into cheaper meal prepping, this really is the place to go for such deals. The store itself is very basic- concrete floors, high shelving, barebones customer service. It is meant for business customers but I come here for my house- they also carry industrial/commercial strength cleaners, kitchen equipment and janitorial supplies. They don't carry electronics, entertainment, prepackaged meals, clothing or anything else of that sort. I don't mind though- I just go elsewhere for those types of items. Depending on what you value, I'd say it is definitely worth coming to this store either as a business owner or individual.

Sure, you're going to spend more for higher quality meat that's sourced locally, but to me it's worth having meat a little less frequently to have it be higher quality when we do. Not only were we able to get a wide variety of meats and cuts, but they also had some cool specialty things like pork schnitzel that isn't there all the time but definitely grab it if they do!! Everyone there is so nice and willing to make suggestions or answer questions, and their retail area also has some cool stuff. We were able to snag a magnetic knife rack for our new kitchen and not only is it beautiful, but it works amazing too! Can't recommend these guys enough!

The store is at a busy intersection but there were plenty of parking by the entrance and more parking at the school across the street. For this festival, there were vendors selling flats of blueberries and Marionberries, handmade goods, and we got some delicious Marionberry whoopie pies from the Amish tent. The place was popping with live music, a bounce house and lawn games. The inside ordering was streamlined with one way entrance and one way exit. The back outdoor area was such a fun space with plenty of seating and a bountiful vegetable and flower garden. All the way in the back they had a patio with a fireplace where the bounce house was - very family friendly! You order the counter and take a number and they bring your food to you. It was a little chaotic for the servers to find people outside since it was very busy but everyone was so attentive and working so hard. We were here for the special Marionberry menu and they had a lot to offer. The highlights were for sure the Marionberry shake (omg so creamy!!) Marionberry lemonade, and the moist and buttery Marionberry scone. My husband enjoyed his brisket sandwich but I thought the berry chicken skewer didn't quite work together...but the berry salad dressing was delicious. Highly recommend coming to check this place out and enjoy a summer morning/afternoon sitting outside with homemade goodness!
