As I drove for a living was my go-to for all repairs, inspections etc and frequent towing plus yanking me out of snow and always came quickly all hours of day and night and did a great job. When he and wife Kim ran the show was a great place she was a stabilizing influence but have seen little by little it's taken a slow-mo nosedive. The new owner or manager Mark? Is very dishonest. Took vehicle in to have brakes done less than ten years or so ago was charged over $300. Had battery changed was charged more than price quoted never gave me the core credit. Needed oil changed and brought own filter bc I only use Fram. He said it didn't fit so I said I would go home and get another one only live a couple of mi away. After the other repairs said it fit afterall. But charged full filter price for oil change. Was quietly furious but still friendly couldn't wait to get outta there paid bill and left vowing never to return. A sad ending to a once pretty good all-around shop *facepalm*

Predominantly designing jewelry from old U.S. solid sterling silver coins in his little unassuming shop. He was very accommodating to our requests and super interesting to talk with. We watched as he transformed what was a sterling silver coin into a beautiful piece of jewelry. Sounds strange but is really breathtaking. On some pieces he leaves the ridges of the original coin and when viewed from the back, you can still see what coin it was made from. Even his website [ http://www.vermontmountainman.com ] doesn't do his art justice. I swear if you order anything he hand makes it will surpass your expectations. I'm glad he has this site because you do get a little glance of quality work and can defiantly see the value in his ridiculously affordable pricing! After we left his shop we couldn't stop talking about his impressive work... so much so we returned to buy even more jewelry as holiday gifts [before we knew he had an online presence with his own website, Etsy, Facebook, etc ] and give him a coin we found for him! So fun and a place we will not soon forget. Definitely keep this place on your places to visit when you head through the area. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Dec 2025 * Friends I worked directly with owner to book…read moreparty room for my Annual Christmas Party. Part of agreement was that she would have 3-4 Christmas figurines in available in an agreed price range for my guests to paint. After discussing and agreeing to terms I pre-paid party room rental fee. In addition, due to it being holiday and fact owner did not know me I offered to pre-pay $100 toward final costs which were not due until conclusion of event. I shared details with invited guests regarding fact there would be Christmas figurines available to paint from "shelf" in partyroom. Day of party I arrived a few minutes before guests, the owner was not at the shop, upon inspection of partyroom, I noted that there were no Christmas figurines in price range owner/I had agreed on. When the staff member reached out to the owner, she lied and said she never agreed to that. She further told her staff member I had prepaid for partyroom rental and owed for costs of pieces and kiln fees. Thankfully I had phone with texted copy of the over the phone receipt. If not I would have had to pay the $100 that I prepaid toward ceramic pieces again until I could resolve issue with owner and get a refund. After a kiln malfuntion/repair they worked hard to get all of the pieces from all of their customers fired. After several texts, owner finally confirmed all of our pieces were ready for pickup on 8:23am on 12/22/25. We scheduled a pickup time for that evening at 5:30pm. Sadly at 5:30pm. While I was sitting in my car in the store parking lot,, I received text saying she had to give her daughter a ride but there was a box outside door on rampway with my pieces!! Crazy business! Box was actually inside entrance behind alocked door! I called her, she arrived 5 minutes later at 5:45pm, as she was "just around the corner" she said . At this point I was past frustrated and informed her it was the worst business transaction I had ever had. Pointed out the several lies, miscommunication, unanswered calls/messages, and poor customer service she had given. While standing outside in a dark parking lot, she was trying to hand me a box with my party pieces. I informed her that I preferred to inspect the pieces to be sure all of them were in the box as Christmas was days away and some items were intended to be gifts. She seemed miffed, informed me she had checked twice to be sure everything was in box....obviously offended, she opened the shop so I could confirm I had all of the items. We proceeded inside and while I was checking to be sure all attendee pieces were in box, she walked away to attend to a phone call (store was not even open) and left me at the counter. Never ONCE did she apologize for her various lies, miscommunication, failure me meet me as scheduled/agreed for pickup or offer any solutionfor all of my inconveniencs.....Clearly my business was not important, my time had no value to her,, and she has poor business sense.. I would not suggest this place of business to anyone! Owner is only in it for $$. Terrible customer experience. I would not even give owner a 1-star.
