My favorite stores in this center are Van Huesen and the Bass Shoe Outlet. Every time I stop here I leave with bags of merchandise. The building itself is unique with its rustic barn ambiance, and overall the place is kept extremely clean. The bathrooms are industrial but clean, and there is ample parking around the stores. The Outlet Center is also conveniently located off Exit 1, but sometimes getting back on the highway can be a pain if it is during rush hour traffic. Overall this is a great Outlet Center with great stores and deals. It would be nice to see the center continue to have these great stores and possibly expand to other brands in the future.

First, he spoke disrespectfully to his worker and then "mansplained" us about how we were wrong to say the boots didn't fit well and we wanted to try a larger size. It was crazy, it didn't matter how we thought the ski boots fit - if it didn't match what he thought, then we were wrong. When I told my daughter we could just rent that day and buy boots when we returned home, he essentially kicked us out of his store. I've never been treated so rudely. I should have read the reviews first because it's clear he has treated others the same way. He needs to sell this store and retire because clearly customer service is not his thing! Please take my advice and DON'T give this guy your business, go to Totem Pole down the street where they are actually nice to their customers.... wow!

I wouldn't give a street mongrel those things to play with, let alone give that dirty junk to a precious precious baby googoo gaga. Then--just days before New Years when I'd been told that the Upper Valley has no store dedicated exclusively to baby things--what to my wondering eyes should appear, but Country Kids Clothing and all things sincere! There are beautiful picture books and classy bibs, pacifiers and chew toys (I'm a dog person, no apologies), swaddling clothes, carry-all bags, and more. You'll find an array of items to suit any baby's general needs, from pricey to economical, trendy commercial to local organic (the natural wood teething rings were my fave, one more solid use of Vermont maple!). The stuff here's cute as shit, cuter than your little shit, probably! You can't go wrong, it seems. There's a second room, too, for older babies. Elder babies? Toddlers? For when they're at 43 months, or 72...whatever. There are two people on staff, though I only spoke with one. Don't have a clue about baby development, timelines, seasonal needs, wind velocity, gravitational pull, etc., like me? No problem! I was both applauded for my courage in shopping for a baby shower gift, and then gently educated on how to improve on the selections I had made before asking for help. The mall is not completely desolate, as they are redoing the tiles on the floor, and there are still some shops open for business. However, most of the places are available for lease. Each time I return to the mall, most of the shops I remember from previous visits are no longer there. I must give Powerhouse Mall credit for hosting local fairs, having a hair salon, gym, random clothing boutiques, and an L.L. Bean store and outdoor gear store. They are still trying to maintain the nostalgic 2000s mall culture. Also they have beautiful decorations for Christmas. I really hope Powerhouse Mall survives and finds its way back to thriving like I'm sure it did not that long ago.

I expected to find a shop-owner, not a friend, when I began frequenting K-n-K. I found out that she drove her help to work when they were without a car. I like Laurie's story, which is going from banking/corporate to follow her dream of owning a thrift store (c'mon, haven't u always wanted to open your own shop?). And now her dream-come-true is literally bursting at the seams with deals and quality items (consignments must make it past her scrupulous eyes first). Some of the things she offers are Back to school needs, FRESH bedding, and Holiday must-haves. I could spend a gift card here in seconds, and next week too, as changeover is constant. I suggest you come on down and squeeze into the crowd of bargain shoppers at K-n-K. It's NOT an old musty granny store :)
