I remembered seeing on Tic Tok story time with Dale at the Ships Wheel. So we decided just to go by and see if Dale was there. Dale was there and he told us one of his jokes and signed a T-shirt I bought there for me. Really nice guy and neat experience. Decided to stay and have a few drinks. Everyone was super nice. There was a bachelorette party there and everyone was dancing and having fun. So much fun we ended up staying for 4 hours. Time got away from us. Great small time atmosphere with really nice people. Definitely would go back.

I Didn't think it was a guy bar at all. It had a cute Dancefloor, a nice expensive bar, and a wonderful bartender. We started at 5 PM and only wanted to have a quick cocktail. The bartender explained T-shirt night was if you walked in with one of the T-shirts, you would get your drink at half price. we wanted to buy one of their T-shirts but they didn't have any in stock lol. So we ordered our drinks with top shelf liquor. Hers was Grey Goose and cranberry and mine was Patron margarita. Since she was still honoring T-shirt night even though we didn't have one, she charged us half price. Where the heck can you get two awesome drinks in tall glasses for 12 bucks for both? wow!!!! They don't serve food here but gosh, I wish I could have stayed there later on in the night when they had music and people. Erica (or Erin?) was a wonderful bartender and this place is awesome if you happen to go to Crystal Beach!!! Ten Stars!!!

But an FYI: It is pretty loud with the live music, open in/outdoor dining, and the amount of people here. ((It is not a sensory friendly place at dinnertime and on the weekend. I heard from another waitress at another restaurant they are calmer and more quiet earlier in the day and at lunch time. They had great reviews so I really wanted to try them. We ordered seamlessly via the website while we were boarding the Ferry home. It was ready when we came by to pick up and was still hot when we got to the beach house. Must try!

I dove directly into my coconut shrimp and forgot to take a photo. I actually finished the plate which is a major rarity for me. I also tried the hush puppies and cilantro lime rice (with COCONUT!)... both of which are the best I've had in this entire area. The hush puppies have the perfect amount of jalapeño in them. For drinks, I had a loaded landshark (always refreshing and lovely) and a frozen house margarita. Yum! The only thing I'd recommend they improve upon is the indoor chair material. Fabric is never a good option, especially in a kid-friendly place. While comfortable, it's not worth the messes that get stuck to them. I had to switch chairs around and settle for the least dirty one. It's not a good look and no one wants to sit atop another person's spill.

He replaced the plate with a fresh plate, but the shrimp on the new plate was also rotten tasting as the first! I did not eat it... They were all speedy and friendly, helpful when it came to selecting cocktails and food. Chocolate martinis are still delicious, as are the fruity frou-frou drinks - but not that strong. And each time I got bubbly or a mimosa, it was warm. I still drank it, but meh. Drinks are still more than you'd want to pay for a not-so-stiff drink, but what hotel bar isn't pricey? I spent probs more than $100 just on myself, so I rec just buying a bottle. You have to have a wristband to access the pool and get towel service; not sure how to get a band if you're not staying at the hotel. I guess you could always rent a cabana. Which are pretty pimp. Flat screen TV, couches, fresh fruit, bottled water and of course, poolside view and VIP service. Cabanas sell out fast, so book early (weeks ahead, not days) if you're gonna drop in on a weekend. The crowd here is an even mix of families, hotties and regular Joes, which I like. I did, however, notice a lot of hot moms with their kiddos. Great idea for those moms looking for a quick getaway that can entertain both adults and youngsters. Potties: Please use them. Don't go in the pool. As added persuasion, the restroom inside the main lobby has a tub of fragrant salt scrub that's complimentary. They also have foot showers, a mojito bar, wet bar, hot tub, kiddie slide with a grotto. There's a no-smoking rule here. I'm not a smoker, but I wanted to enjoy my Hight Cigar and feel all baller like. Ah well, I'll save it for another day.
