The 1st half of the group got here before 615, the 2nd half of the group arrived here at 615ish. we joined the rest of our family who had already placed drinks & food orders. The drinks took over 45 min & a guest from my table had to go get them from the bar himself. The server did not come back to get the rest of the tables food order until 651pm & that's because we had to get her attention. The 1st order of food was brought out at 705pm. There are other tables getting food & drinks faster. The 2nd half of the groups food came out at 745pm. Server never came back to check on us or give us the check. We had to go up to the bar to pay out. 2yrs ago we came here and experienced the same service and food quality. My family likes the taco Tuesday specials but we have yet to have a good experience here. I can assume the tacose were okay but nothing to write home about. The wings & tots were good. read more

Definitely requires patience. My order was forgotten 25% of the time and had to re-ordered. The rest of the time it arrived...eventually. 15 minutes for a beer and 35 minutes for a burger seems like a long time to me. Jalapeño poppers were excellent. My burger was mediocre. "Would you like cheese on your cheeseburger?" "Yes please, I would like cheese on my cheeseburger." As you might have guessed it came without cheese. It was also overcooked, dry, and came on a dry bun. The pickles, mustard, and mayo (but no cheese) are at the condiment bar on the other side of the restaurant. Staff is running around. The problem seems more like disorganization than disinterest. They are polite but not efficient. Otherwise, lots of TVs. Also, lots of children. A few patrons appearing to be in late teens (legal alcohol consumption age in USVI is 18) who may have been over-served. Tried to eat there Saturday after the movies. Went and sat down. 5 minutes I went up and got menus as no one brought us any. Waited another 5-10 minutes and still no one came over so I went up to the register to order. Got out drinks by a rude woman with short curly black hair. Waited and waited. People came in and were served right away. Someone came in about a half hour after we did and sat at the bar, their food came out before ours. We still didn't get our food. They tried to say the kitchen is backed up. The others ordered before you blah blah blah. Excuses excuses. Went up to,pay for the 2 drinks we did get. They had 2 jack and cokes on there. He had ordered a second but it never came out. They they tried to charge me 30 bucks instead of the 8.50 for the two drinks we did get. Get your crap together. But hey, if you didn't want us in there you could have said so. I would never recommend this place. read more

I use to come here all the time, sometimes they do a decent job now. I usually get the tacos or the taco salad these days. You won't find anything fancy here, so it that's what you're looking for this isn't the location for you. Pool tables, drinks and decent prices. Service does need to improve though. read more

Been there three times and it's always the same: you order your beverage, and then you're basically ignored. The last time, I ordered the chips and cheese dip on the happy hour menu. It seemed to take forever for what is a simple dish. When it came though, it was pretty tasty for what it was. Much better than the sliders I'd had on a previous visit, which were just plain overcooked patties served on stale buns. When time came to leave, I had to hunt down my server, who was deep in conversation with (wait for it) other servers. Unremarkable (and sometimes BAD) food and lousy service are not a good combination. Finally, the place allows kids and families with crying babies. Don't know if that's typical for the island, but when I go to a supposedly adult establishment, I don't want to hear snarky teens and whining toddlers. Won't likely be back. read more

People sitting next me even said "umm yes she did order food". (She had even gotten snippy with me when i ordered and admitted she was drunk and a friend helping out the bar.). The food tasted good. I had the honey barbecue wings with a side of fries. The wings were cooked to perfection. They were very edible. The waiter was very attentive. He ensured we placed our order immediately. However, the burgers took an hour and 30 minutes to cook which was unacceptable. They were very nonchalant about the time it took. If you are in a rush, the wings would be a less time consuming order. However, if you really want a burger, be sure to have extra time. Hope you have a better experience. read more

Huge indoor venue, pool tables also. We had the chili cheese fries and they were outta this world. Tried the appetizer sample and that too was delicious. Very tasty hot wings, i do recommend them . First of all, it's hard to find good food at fair prices on St. Croix. At Sharkey's I feel like I'm actually getting what I paid for. The burgers and wings are always right, but what you wouldn't expect is the Mexican food (talking to you, fajitas) is awesome. I think the owners have some insight being originally from Texas. As for drinks, I'm in love with the pina coladas. Or any of their frozen drinks. Yum. The bartenders are friendly and outgoing, and definitely know what they're doing. Plus they have more sodas to choose from that most sports bars, like grape soda and red cream on the gun. What I love most about Sharkey's Bait Stand is the variety. I can go in any day of the week for the lunch specials, and it's always kid-friendly (with kid-friendly prices) and they've got on every game I could fathom. The theme nights are always exciting and different from anywhere else on the island, it's like this quaint little sports bar in a shack turns into a bumpin' night club when Trinity Krew comes to party. My first two star review. Sorry guys. Food is not the forte here. It's all bar with pool sticks and noise. Not my scene but it the outside looks like it may be interesting and you feel like a burger or chicken fingers and fries you may be playing roulette. I went for lunch and the place was a ghost town. Probably clue one. Second the dude in the booth who may have worked there looked like he had issues with me being there and interrupting his meditation. Regardless I really hate to write bad reviews but Yelp won't take me seriously if I don't rake someone over the coals every now and then. Don't hate the player hate the game. Yes, the service is slow. But the burgers are good, the fried shrimp are awesome, and the air conditioning is outstanding. We found Sharkey's on a Saturday in the heat and humidity of September. Lots of TVs. As good as any sportsbar in Atlanta. ONLY place we ate in air conditioning during 10 day visit. Just go to the bar for a beer and be patient for your food. read more

Service was ridiculously slow. Waitress was nice enough, but it took FOREVER to get anything. Waters to the table took 10 minutes. Then the food came out - 2 orders at a time. With at least 10 minutes in between deliveries. We were a party of 7. Plus, she forgot to place my 6 year old's order so it took them at least 15 minutes to make her quesadilla. Food was ok, pretty typical bar food, temperatures were inconsistent (my onion rings were cold, my friends were warm and hers came out after mine). Will not be back and do not recommend. read more

Sharkeys does what it is suppose to, bar food and games. Steak Quesadilla and hot wings were good, reasonable prices and the atmosphere for game days can't be beat. You don't head to Sharkeys looking for fine dining. Be warned though, they don't have anything on tap, so you will pay for refills as well. You are going to the best sports bar on island (also an LSU hub for some reason) and they have tv's on every wall, for watching a game, it's perfect.
