Oh my, where to start... The food-the absolute BEST fish and chips of my life! Big, perfectly fried chunks of white and flaky fish, thin, crispy fries and the best restaurant coleslaw I've ever had! We sat at the bar and Tony took great care of us-he makes a really good drink and truly cares about your experience. No Bones is comfortable, clean and a happy place to come to. Their portions are generous, the food is delicious and the prices don't make you wince. Do yourself a favor and experience No Bones-you will love it. Decide to let Yelp help Me find Dinner tonight on the Big Island. Called to Order and pickup. Phone answered on 3rd ring, person pleasant, gave me specials, but I decided to go with the Famous Fried Chicken. Lady on phone said 20 mins and when I got there, I spent no less than five minutes in and out; Awesomeness! The fried chicken is moist, tasty and satisfying. The sides of shoe string fries and slaw does not do this fried chicken justice. I'd love to see it paired with mashed potatoes, gravy and collards. Great Food. Fast and Friendly Service. No Bones Café has an ambiance that I found really striking and nice; the prominent and comfortable bar area is an obvious favorite of many of the local regulars, and there's quite a lot of interesting sports memorabilia throughout the venue. We came here and shared an order of wings, some artichoke dip and a Ruben with fries. The food was very good, quite tasty with generous portion sizes. Now, what's a meal in the tropics without cocktails? We each picked one - he went with a John Daly Crush, and I chose a mojito. My mojito tasted wonderful, and kicked like a mule! His JDC was just OK; for our 2nd round we both did mojitos and were quite content :-) The staff (both behind the bar and in the restaurant proper) were very friendly and attentive; the next time I visit this Island I look forward to returning. read more

Best place in Christiansted for lunch!!! The cheesesteak was as good as they get!! The service was outstanding!!!

What a sweet surprise this place was! My boyfriend heard about it at work and we decided to try it. With the corona virus, it was all pick up. We ordered both of the specials, Mahi-mahi with a lemon dill sauce and sides. And stuffed chicken breast. They BOTH were amazing! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The food was hot and delicious. We will definitely go back! I can't wait to sit down inside and have a normal dinner! This might be the first place we'll go when we can. Great job No Bones!!!! Best food/service on the island yet (been here 10 days) Our server was Sarah and we went for lunch. My wife and I started with "Cruzan Mojitos" that we're actually served in a glass and not styrofoam. MAJOR plus during COVID. I ordered the fish and chips and my wife had the chef salad. Once again we had real silverware and plates. The fish was very good, fries were hot/crispy and the malt vinegar added to both. My wife's salad was HUGE, crisp, had lots of protein and the best on the island in 10 days. Sarah was very pleasant, easy to talk to and considerate. There were also other servers that helping each other out to refill drinks and take dishes. Many places you go to on the island the servers are lazy and you have to constantly get their attention. We'll be back. Even though were trying to hit as many restaurants as possible we'll be back to this one. read more

We enjoyed everything about this vibrant, popular restaurant. The service staff was very pleasant and attentive, and the other guests chatted amiable with us while we were waiting to be seated. They offer daily specials, and the menu offers a variety of deliciousness. We enjoyed this restaurant on our last evening in St. Croix, and we are absolutely looking forward to returning next year. Me and my 3 business colleagues traveling from the states were told by the mail hostess that they were only accepting reservations I heard a white woman coming in behind with her husband and another couple say "dear they are turning people away who don't have reservations so we may have look for another option. Then she informed the hostess that we don't have reservations and witnessed the other group (our group) being turned away. The hostess lean in to her and said I was just trying to.... and that's all I heard and he proceeded to sit them! And when he returned he ask me "sir can I help you", and I responded with I just wanted to let you know that I saw what you just did and I'm going to let it be known and I left with him running behind me trying to explain and apologize! read more

Good food for a good price. Cajun pasta was very good! Beer wasn't quite cold but was very good. Service was good. We sat outside on the patio. There was some kind of industrial trucking nearby. However, this is a good place. Definitely give it a try while in St Croix. read more

This place came recommended by our airbnb host, and we can echo her enthusiastic recommendation. It's a saloon / pub setting, near the working waterfront of Christiansted, in a modern building, faux-thentic sttle, but cool and, hey it has parking etc. Food was excellent. Service was warm, efficient, genuine, owner Chuck stays right at the center of the action, an eye on everything and everyone. We went with the salad special and a diet burger (no bun, no cheese, salad substituted for fries). Perfect. So delicious, note the house hot sauce, which is really good. No Bones will probably be one of the first places a local will tell you to go. Its a mixed crowd of tourists and locals. The menu all your mainland basics and the are well executed. For instance ribs, Rueben sandwich, wings. There is also higher end options last night I had tuna with romanesco sauce. Just a word about the local fish it's as fresh as it comes. If you wait long enough you will see fishmongers dropping of fresh out of the water fish. Get it while your here the only risk is when you go back too Ohio or wherever your from you will realize how bad the fish you usually eat is. Service is good. It's tough too get a seat sometimes call ahead for reservations. There is a large bar where food is served. The prices are reasonable for the island. Two beers on tap. I wouldn't write home about them. read more

Definitely a step up from the previous location, but I don't understand why they blocked up all the windows to make a dark little cave-like atmosphere. And tiny little TVs at every booth, what's up with that? More creativity went into the design of the bar, booths and decor than the menu. The workmanship on the wood furnishings is impressive. So this is our second time at No Bones and unfortunately the second time wasn't the charm. First Visit- A few months ago we were recommended to try this restaurant. The place is super cute and quaint, so I had high hopes. We were a party of 5. We had already ordered, eating our appetizer when suddenly a huge Roach landed on one of us. I spotted it on his shoulder as it was crawling on him- Gross!! He got up, brushed the roach off and it flew to the bar and was wandering around as we tried to get the staffs attention. Someone finally killed it after minutes of torture. Surprisingly we stayed to finish eating but as you can imagine, we weren't in the best of spirits. Unfortunately that image permanently stayed with all of us which is sad because the food was pretty tasty. Second Visit- Its St Pattys day and we were craving a Philly cheese. We were by the area bc of the parade and despite the painful roach experience a few months back, we decided to give them one more try. This time it was during the day, peak time, so roaches shouldn't be out on the loose. The place was as nice as I had remembered and were were greeted and seated within 2 min. We had the pulled pork nachos as an appetizer and we were left disappointed. There was barely any pork. As we waited for the entrees, we were watching something on our phone and suddenly the manager comes by and tells us to lower it. Um.. it's St Patty's day, everyone's been drinking and being super loud. We could barely hear what we were watching. We turned it off but honestly his request was completely unnecessary. Also, there were these annoying flies that continued landing on us and our food. When we complained, nothing was done. As for my food- well I ordered the same as before: chilly and Philly cheese. The Philly was mediocre and the chilly wasn't good. It was too greasy and tasted soapy. When we walked out my husband offered a recommendation for the fly situation and the ordered seemed rather dismissive. Conclusion- I give it a two star bc of the service from the waitress wasn't too bad, bc there was no wait time on both occasions, and bc they do cater to multiple taste buds. Also, the food wasn't as good the second time around. On the other hand, the roach situation was pretty disgusting and his comment telling us to turn it down was not needed, especially since it was very loud in there already. Enjoyable meal and comfortable atmosphere- definitely has a "locals" feel. Ordered a mojito- it was good, just a little strong. Ordered the pulled pork nacho appetizer as a meal and was still twice as much food as I was able to eat! The pulled pork was very tasty. Had to remove most of the jalapeños as it was spicy enough without them. My husband had the shrimp scampi which he said was good, just wished it had more shrimp. I let him eat the other half of my nachos - then he was very happy- LOL. Definitely worth the visit! read more

No Bones gets a solid 3 stars but it's for their service & not the food. Located in Gallows Bay at Chandlers Wharf, their location is near the boat dock and the marina. It's easy to find with enough parking. Maybe it was an off day for pulled pork nachos but the menu description had me convinced. Pepper jack cheeses, chipotle cream sauce, jalapeños & corn salsa - my taste buds were doing a happy dance but then the food came out. My taste buds dancing came to a complete halt and requested the eviction of the pulled pork from my mouth! The pork was dry & had no flavor as though it had been sitting out on the counter for hours. The cheese was all dried up and stuck to the chips but not all of the chips. There were blotches of cheese in some areas and then completely dry in other areas. Corn salsa? You mean the corn from the can & the couple pieces of onions they threw on the plate? No lime juice, no onions, no red peppers, no tomato so basically no salsa. I had 3 dollops of chipotle cream which was ok but there was so spice to the dish outside of the jalapeños. I was asked how the food was and I had to be honest. If I wasn't asked, I would have gone on without any complaints but they asked so again, kudos to the service. Drinks were great! I stick with the Cruzan rum & coke which always gives me the most bang for my buck. They were about $4 each during happy hour. I was very happy :-) No Bones has to improve on their menu and their recipes. Next time, I'll stick to wings & fries. read more

We had lunch at No Bones Cafe and the food was out of this world. My husband and son ordered the fried chicken and it was tender and juicy and the batter was crisp and light. The sides were mash potatoes, cream gravy and stewed green bean. The portions were huge! Myself and my son's girlfriend had the catch of the day Mahi in a light lemon sauce. The fish was cooked perfectly and was light and the sauce was not over powering. My favorite meal on the island! The waitress was very good and greeted us with a smile. Love the place! read more

Gave this place several tries on various days and times. I can tell you the place is ok for lunch. They have decent food and good service. Later on, the place is crowded, but more with blue collar, beer swilling types. It gets very loud! If you are a working dude, who wants to drink after work with other working dudes, or if you just like the crowd that wears hats at the table and have no manners you will fit right in.
