If you're near the boardwalk in Christiansted give this place a visit for breakfast. Good breakfast options and great service from the staff. It's a small cafe with outdoor dining availability. We would've visited more than once if we had the time.

Beautiful rum French toast and side of sausage

The food here is amazing! I had the rum French toast and a side of sausage. I have never had French toast this good! I'm not sure what the base bread is, but it's so fluffy and tastes like eating air. The sausage was also really good. The service was great, the restaurant can get warm, and they do have an outside table. Really good and I think relatively cheap breakfast.

The three egg breakfast, real hash browns, crispy bacon and perfectly Toasted Toast.

We have come to Toast for years and it's always been good. Today, it was EXCELLENT! The food was delicious and plentiful, the service by Paula was perfection and the drinks were epic. I had the hash brown casserole with cheese, onions and over medium eggs-total Yum! My husband had the three egg breakfast and he cleaned his plate. If you are looking for a great breakfast/lunch, wonderful service at a good price, go get Toasted!

Not a bad diner, if you're looking for a quick and cheap breakfast. You have to arrive early because they don't have many tables and they fill up quickly. We showed up 5 mins past opening and the outside tables were already full. The inside is small with only 2 to 3 tables available. The bathroom is unisex and located directly next to the counter. The toilet is a step up, which is a little strange, and the bathroom itself wasn't super clean. I ordered scrambled eggs with toast and a side of fried plantains. The eggs and toast were as expected, but the plantains were fried perfectly. They had a crisp on the outside, but were still tender on the inside. My friend had a breakfast arepa. It came out piping hot and she said the bacon was crispy and the arepa itself wasn't too greasy. She suggested it as a really nice gluten free option. Our servers were all pleasant and quick to refill our beverages.

During my stay in St.Croix, I wanted to start my morning off with a nice breakfast. At the recommendation of the host at the boutique hotel where I was staying, I tried toast. It was a very good recommendation. I ordered grilled rum cake French toast. Although the server brought syrup to the table, none was needed. I am now addicted to grilled rum cake. I also had a side of scrambled eggs with it. On another visit later during my stay on the island, I had a proper Cruzian breakfast. This was stewed saltfish with wilted spinach, plantains, and eggs. I used the arepa that came with it to sop up any gravy. Totally won me over. This will be one of my "go to" restaurants when next I return to St. Croix for a visit.

Pick 5 egg scramble and arepa

We felt this was hotel style continental breakfast quality food. If you like very simple eggs on a griddle and white packaged bread toast, you'll be happy. Mango passion fruit juice was super sweet. The hash brown casserole has cream cheese and cheddar cheese in it, in addition to whatever you ask to add to it (not good for dairy free guests!) The arepa was super bland. Eggs were cooked well, but nothing to write home about. Hubby thought the pancakes were average (think Bisquik).

When we first arrived on the Island, it was brunch/lunch time. Our room wasn't quite ready so I asked the staff for a recommendation in town. No question, Toast was a local favorite. The recommendation did not disappoint one bit. Centrally located in the small town and a short walk for us from our hotel, we found this little diner. Cute decor to look at while enjoying our tasty meal and planning our time in town was true perfection. I enjoyed a Vietnamese iced coffee and an over the top, delicious order of avocado toast which was very good. Everything was island fresh and service was top notch.

Pro: Pretty good eats on the Christiansted waterfront! Toast delivers a decent array of options for the vacationing diner and the local diner alike. You want something on the continental side, i.e. biscuits & gravy or scrambled eggs? They got you. You want to try a Crucian breakfast with stewed salt fish? They got you! How about an arepa stuffed with a protein? THEY GOT YOU! All hits, no misses! Con: small countertop dining with a few outdoor tables = not the best for large groups Bottom Line: Start your Crucian morning off right right with breakfast at Toast!

Centrally located downtown. Good place to grab breakfast. It was really busy so we had to wait a bit for our food but when it finally arrived it was hot and delicious. We sat at the bar in the air conditioning. They also have outdoor seating. There's not many choices for breakfast in this area so be prepared to wait and be patient. It's worth it!

Rip off. Horrible food. Plus between the bottled water and 20% service charge added $40 to our tab. Food was inedible

Sigh, the food is so good and the service is so bad. Still, I recommend. I need to eighty-five characters, so I'm writing this.

Rum Runners - American breakfast, with an extra side of eggs. Try Barons West Indian hot sauce. It's definitely more flavorful than hot.

It came with a generous helping of hot French fries and 3 cold dill pickle slices. The restaurant has a large outdoor patio that offers excellent views of the ocean, with boats in the "bay." What made it more enjoyable was our attentive server Charlie who met our requests with a smile. The other diners in our party had no complaints; in fact, they raved about the French fries and said their entrees were fresh and delicious. Rum Runners also sports a full bar and a colorful decor. Prices are reasonable.

And that's what led me to Rum Runners. I'm telling you, this place really captures the island vibe. Great selection of music playing in the background waterfront table seating, very open and airy. This place is definitely a slice of Island heaven When you go, you really need to ask for Jake. Such a good server, excellent tableside manners, and just a good guy. Offers suggestions, and is just a pleasure to have as a server. Can't recommend him enough! My go-to meal at this place is the American breakfast which is eggs, your choice of bacon or sausage, toast,.. I always go for the bacon. And you absolutely, 100% must try the Barons hot sauce. Don't worry, it's not that hot but it's super flavorful and I'm ordering a bottle to take home with me! You definitely need to try a cocktail while you were there. Look, you're on vacation, it's okay to have a cocktail at 9:00 in the morning. You can enjoy the scenery while they cook your breakfast. If you look close enough you might see a crab or two. Trying to saddle up next to you. Looking for bits of food on the ground. I'm telling you, listening to the water lap against the rocks. Looking out over the pristine Blue Ocean, combined with a great playlist of music. Makes for a morning adventure. You will not soon forget. Forget. I have not tried lunch or dinner there, next time I come back I may just eat all three meals there. Bottom line you have to check this place out! You're in the island man so don't run anywhere. Take it slow, have a drink, kick back and enjoy the scenery. You can't do much better than Rum Runners on the boardwalk.

I literally can cooks eggs and bacon for a month on a standard breakfast for 2 people at a restaurant. I don't even really like brunch. I think most places have the dishwasher cook brunch. I usually get dragged to brunch by my wife. Almost exclusively I'm disappointed. So your probably saying why the 5 stars. This is competently good food. For example you can usually judge a place by Caesar dressing. For those who haven't made Caesar it's pretty easy to make. But it's easier to slop some out of a jug made by Cisco. Not here it's the real thing. Properly prepared shrimp and grits. Delicious iced coffee. Naan Pizza. For the people the that have to have breakfast food the have all that. Eggs and bacon and whatnots. They really take pride in what the serve. The atmosphere is really nice. Air conditioned. They have beer, wine, and hard liquor. But so does the hardware store down here. So the next time you go to toast and there are 73 people in a space designed for 8, swing up the block to Josephine's. Who are you resist?
