My opinion here started off on not a great foot. I received a message with what I would be expected…read moreto pay on my day of surgery last Friday afternoon. I received a follow up phone call Monday and during that call, my covid test was mentioned and that they received my results. I asked how I get a copy of that, and the woman was very rude and said perhaps you didn't understand what I just said, we have a copy. I said yes I understood. I want a copy. She was just very rude. I also received a phone call Monday going over what time I needed to arrive and details of that day, including that I need a friend or family member to drive me home, I am not allowed to use a ride share service. My surgery was Tuesday, yesterday. I arrived around 6:10am and was the second person to be checked in. When moving over to the check in area I started to cry. I was so anxious and overwhelmed and the woman working was very nice and told me to go ahead and get it all out and she got me some tissues. She was very nice and helpful and understanding. During this time she verified I had someone to take care of my for 24 hours after my surgery. I did not, as I was never told I needed to. I started texting my mom, to see if that could happen, as due to covid I am not having anyone around me or my family. I informed her I had it handled and we moved forward. I did end up paying a large amount of money, and one of my four procedures was not able to be done so I will have to figure out if I work that out here or with my insurance. I'm sure it will take a while to figure out. I did state I needed two documents for my AFLAC submission later, and asked if I could sign the release form then, and follow up later to get them but they would not do that. I was taken down to another waiting room and there was a tv program about Jesus on the tv which was extremely annoying. That was my biggest complaint of the day. I find it completely inappropriate. I was taken back by an amazing nurse, Cindy. As soon as she started, I started crying again. My anxiety really got the best of me yesterday. She was also so kind and understanding and explained absolutely everything to me. She was funny, and really made me feel better. I believe my anesthesiologist was Dr Chow. He was very nice as well. He called the night before to ask If I had any questions. He gave me something to relax via IV and I remember being wheeled back to the OR, and scooting from the bed to the table and they were having issues with the arm rest on one side. I then remember the oxygen coming towards my face, and the next thing I knew I was awake back in the recovery area where I had another nurse. She gave me water and I heard her call my mom and go over things with her and tell her I was ready to go home. I got dressed and waited for my ride and was taken out via wheelchair. Everyone was so kind and helpful in what was such a stressful day for me. They stated they would call today and check in on me. I was sent home with paperwork with all of my aftercare instructions. Don't wear a cute mask that matches your outfit as you'll have to change out to their masks lol. They smell a bit too, and I was told that was because of the sterilization. I had to ask for a second one due to crying and getting the first one wet.

I had a lumpectomy June 4 of this year. Getting checked in was a nightmare. They said they called…read moreme the night before and couldn't leave a message because my voicemail was full. My voicemail had only 3 messages and was no where near full. They called me at their closing time so when i called back they were gone. So I was blindsided when they said you have to pay for your surgery now. I have done payments for my surgeries and paid them on time. So I was pissed that I was blindsided but worse they lied about my voicemail. The surgery went well and my surgeon Dr. Bremner was great. But when I got home i noticed they sent me home with wet pants. Ive had many surgeries in my life and never have gone home with wet pants. I was disgusted but was tired so I took care of it at home. That was strike two. Today I got a voicemail from them trying to confirm a surgery they said i was scheduled for July 3. I have no surgeries scheduled and I even checked with my Dr in case I was wrong. I was not wrong. So either they are either really unorganized or someone else is having surgery and they are calling the wrong person. I called them back and left a message letting them know i don't have any surgery planned as well as telling them this is the 3rd egregious error. I am going to my insurance to file a complaint and then its off to the medical board. I was going to let it go after the lies and wet pants. But then this.

SCKE - Worst Medical Experience - 0/10*…read more My wife and I had a terrible experience at this facility. We were given a 4:00 PM appointment by the doctor herself, yet were made to wait over an hour with no explanation or apology. We were never seen by the doctor, She refused to review recent bloodwork from Hoag ER and instead sent us for new labs unnecessarily, wasting our time and money. This isn't the first issue. A few months ago, this same office ran a thyroid test on my wife and sent us to Hoag ER. Hoag re-ran the test and told us the results from SCKE were completely inaccurate. Two major errors affecting the same patient is unacceptable. Patients deserve respect, accurate testing, and doctors who value their time. We experienced none of that here. I would give minus 0 stars if I could. Do not recommend this facility to anyone. Shahidkarim

Horrible experience…read more Provider Paul Sheikewitz, MD was in a rush. I had called ahead and confirmed that they did HPV testing and mouth/throat swabs. After a visual examination of my mouth, he stated that my mouth was fine and pushed me to take medication and an injection without doing the mouth swab test I repeatedly requested. He stated he was "not sure" my insurance would cover the mouth swab. I explained that I didn't want take anything before knowing what exactly and if I had anything . I had received mouth/throat swab testing previously without any insurance issues, and I even agreed to pay out of pocket if necessary. Despite this, I continued to get the runaround and was ultimately told the mouth/throat swab was not available. I also explained that I had taken the medication before and experienced repeated vomiting, so I was hesitant to take it without knowing I actually needed it. My main concern was getting tested for anything I may have, and I felt my concerns and requests were not heard. When leaving, the front desk employee also yelled across the room, "What were you here for?" I felt this was unprofessional, inappropriate and lacked privacy. I left extremely disappointed and uncomfortable. Due to this experience, I will be reporting my concerns to the California Medical Board. I would not recommend this place.
