They hit my teeth with some crazy sonic water spray thing before the scraping and the scraping went oh-so-much-better! I also got good, non-pressury advice about some orthodontic treatment I'll need and friendly advice about wearing braces as an adult. (Yes, I'm getting braces...just call me Ugly Betty!) Every single person there is friendly and professional, and the appointments run on time - you aren't abandoned in the waiting room or in the chair for 20 minutes at a time. I'm so thrilled with this dentist and have been referring everyone. The only downside is that it will now probably take me two months to get an appointment!

The staff and hygienists are friendly and personable. Cleanings are efficient and reasonably pain-free, using an ultrasonic scaler as well as the big old hooks. I've never had to wait more than five minutes for my appointment. I haven't had a huge amount of interaction with Dr. Blicher himself-- since my routine checkups are usually pretty good, he will pop in to take a look at my teeth and x-rays, say good morning, and not linger. Although I understand he specializes in cosmetic dentistry, I've never gotten any hard sell or pressure about cosmetic procedures-- even though I could use some; the only time it's ever come up is when I've mentioned it. I always schedule my next visit on my way out, and the office staff calls me a few days in advance with a reminder.

What should have been a standard preventive cleaning turned into a painful and unnecessarily aggressive experience. During the procedure, there was significant pain and excessive bleeding, far beyond what is normal for a routine cleaning. Even more concerning, one of the fillings in my molar was pulled out during the cleaning, something that has never happened to me in any prior dental visit. At no point was there a clear explanation for the level of force being used, nor was my discomfort adequately addressed during the appointment. A routine dental cleaning should not result in pain, heavy bleeding, or damage to existing dental work. I have had many cleanings over the years, and this was by far the most uncomfortable and poorly handled experience. Based on what happened, I genuinely don't understand how this practice maintains such high ratings. Patients should not be expected to accept this level of care as normal. I would not return or recommend this office based on my experience.

I came in for the first time today and was really scared. Tomas did my cleaning and literally could not have been more gentle. He was really careful and told me everything he did before he did it, i literally could not have asked for a better experience. They aren't pushy here. Everyone was very nice, and I was in and out in less than an hour, having gotten a cleaning, X-rays, and consultation. The cleaning in particular went fast and painless. I've been to dentists where a routine cleaning feels like being put in the torture chair, but that definitely wasn't the case here. The woman was very nice, considerate, gave good tips on how to improve my brushing, and it was over before I knew it. I usually dread going to the dentist, but I think I'll like it much better here.

From Natasha up front, to his assistant Faye, and especially Dr. Freyne - they all totally eased my nerves and made the entire experience as pleasant as a dentist visit could be - if not more! His wife, Cindy, now also offers various skin care services in the office - and she is amazing! Her facials and microderm services are my favorite in the area, and so reasonably priced for the city! Finally I found what I've been looking for with Cohen and Cohen (you must see Dr. Miller). The office is spotless, the staff is friendly, and location is super convenient for metro riders and city dwellers (although a trip from outside the city would be well worth it). And while I certainly appreciate the cleanliness and efficiency of a well-run doctor's office, Dr. Miller is the reason I come back. She's a remarkable wealth of knowledge and a great listener for all my questions both trivial and more concerning; she epitomizes bedside manner. I can't recommend Dr. Miller and this practice highly enough and will definitely be sending referrals their way!

I was speaking with asst for final instructions and then front office called and said entire office was closing down FOREVER tomorrow (day of appt), it was doctors last day and my condition was too complicated so they canceled! I rescheduled somewhere else -- they were efficient and did procedure with local anesthesia in 20 minutes.

I took off a star because I noticed additional charges added to my bill, which I found simply dishonest. I was going to be under full anesthesia, so just from curiosity I looked at the watch before we started. Procedure took exactly 28minutes, yet the charges with insurance that I've noticed later at home, showed three instances of 15 minutes for anesthesia, which would make the whole procedure longer than 45 minutes (considering preparing ect) Another issue that didn't sit well with me was that I paid for everything immediately after the procedure. We had all the charges itemized, calculated, and confirmed with the insurance. Typically, these amounts are slightly higher than the actual cost, and one usually receives a small refund afterward. However, in this case, about six months later, I received an additional bill stating that I owed nearly $200 more. I attempted to call for clarification, but either the call was dropped or the explanation was so unclear and crude, as if I were dumb having consideration for own money. So, while my health turned out fine, I won't be returning.
