Urban Lagree is a great studio if you're looking for a solid, effective workout. I really like…read moreLagree in general because it's challenging but low-impact, and this studio makes the experience even better. Everyone there is super nice and welcoming. They have a small parking lot in the back, which is really convenient. There are lockers available, but everyone is pretty safe and relaxed, so it's fine to keep your things near your reformer. If you haven't tried Lagree before, I'd definitely recommend giving it a shot, it's such a great workout. And as a bonus, there's a local taco spot nearby that's perfect for grabbing a bite after class!

My friend invited me as a guest to a Pilates class at the Urban Lagree Pilates studio. The check in process was easy through an iPad in the front of the studio. I received a warm welcome to class and since it was my first time to attend I received a detailed introduction to the Pilates Megaformer machine and all the mechanics. The Megaformer was more elaborate and had more functionality than the wooden reformers that I had used in the past. Spots were not preassigned, so I was able to sit next to my friend. The class was 45 minutes long and designed to tone your body. Urban Lagree is a high-intensity, low impact strength training workout. The focus was on muscular endurance which will improve your overall strength and core stability. There were resistance movement that focused on balance and targeted muscles that I normally don't hit in my HIIT workouts. Some movements I could feel the burn and was really getting a targeted focus on the smaller muscles in my body. After the workout I felt empowered and rejuvenated. Even though I was relatively new to Pilates, the instructor's instructions were easy to follow and she provided constructive feedback when needed. Really enjoyed my experience at Urban Lagree!

What gym hell must be like. Didn't realize this is basically a cross fit gym combined with the…read moreworst elements of the most ghetto Planet Fitness location. People walking around shirtless, dripping sweat, stinking, in bare feet, only socks, crocs, and Teva sandles. Nasty. Old dilapidated and low quality dumbbells, only 2 old treadmills and a few of the manual treadmills, no fixed weight barbells, a bathroom falling apart with the toilet bowl cover hanging on by one hinge. No air conditioning. Hot and smelly. Humid atmosphere. Couldn't draw up a worse gym in my imagination. To me it's 1 star but I guess to cross fit cultists this is what they like. Only a few smoothie choices and no chicken wraps or anything in their nutrition bar or whatever it's called. If you know how to work out and don't need or want a trainer or group then this place is definitely not for you. They do an incredible job on marketing and must edit photos or take superb angles like a catfish on tinder. Almost thinking they pay influencers to hype this place up. Either way I'd prefer the most basic Planet Fitness or Crunch 100x over this. In fact I'd rather get chubby and not work out over having to work out in an environment like this again.
