This was not our first school and the school we came from was one of the best in the country, in a different state. We've been with them for 6 years so it's not our first rodeo. Do not waste your money, coaches are not coaching. One wears dirty " white" Gi without a rush guard! Disgusting! No respect for mat, people are allowed to sit on it with their shoes on. Lozano's Martial Arts Studio is one of the most professional schools in the San Antonio, TX area…read more All of the instructors are a pleasure to work with and learn from. The school is setup perfect for different age groups, not a stress on the wallet and students are not bound by crappy contracts. The place is amazing. As for the 2 reviews given, along with bully side comment concerning one of the instructors fighting in a YouTube video, anybody with half a brain can see what exactly happened just from the video alone. The instructor confronted a cheeseburger loving idiot because he decided he wanted to throw a BS temper tantrum over a parking spot and kick the crap out of her car. Not for nothing, but if you forget how parking works and kick my car because of it, be prepared to get hit, a lot. He is lucky he didn't get shot after pushing the older woman to the ground that walked up from the back.

I was told equipment will be provided then the day before the class i find out that i actually need to buy it all myself because it's "not guaranteed." Not what i was told at the beginning but okay (i have texts to prove it too). It seems like whoever is in charge of responding to peoples questions and concerns doesn't really care if you're not apart of the gym already. Not sure if that's what's going on for sure, just how it feels after being ignored and getting a lackluster or no response at all. THAT'S NOT EVEN THE WORST PART. I'm a total beginner. I have made that very clear from the beginning and i think i have asked which Muay Thai class is the beginner class (because you guys have 3-4 of them at different times) because obviously I dont want to go into an intermediate class when, again, I'm a beginner. You think you'd want to answer this question relatively fast so someone doesn't get hurt but i guess thats not the case here. I thought i found a good gym and one that was close to the house but i guess it's back to finding a new gym.

It was always kung fu or Kenpo or point fighting in the past so needless to say I like a challenge and all I can say is that they welcomed me with open arms and they're very happy with my effort and I'm pretty strong for an old guy and they have been letting me learn finesse and learn how to control my energy and how to build stamina and they've been incredibly patient and it's just unbelievable and it's resetting my whole physical base and it's got me thinking that I can start doing some of their MMA classes and I started doing a little bit of their judo although at 64 I don't really want to get slammed on the ground so they let me take it real easy but I mean I go as hard as I want in the Jiu Jitsu and they let me go hard. But they let me go as soft as I want with the judo and I'm starting to grab my gloves and get out there for their MMA and it is absolutely fantastic. There are some real strong players but we all are there to support and help each other grow.

Master Tanna is phenomenal!…read more We stumbled upon Master Tanna several years ago while he instructed for a martial arts franchise in San Antonio. Although, we live an hour away, my husband and I knew this was exactly where and he was who we wanted to grow our son's martial arts skills. Through the transition from the franchise to his very own Taekwondo studio, we've followed Master Tanna with an even further distance but we are dedicated as he is dedicated to our youth. His past experience in the Military as well as being a high ranking black belt and all around exceptional leader and teacher, we have found a home here at Warriors TK Academy and couldn't be more pleased. Did I say how much our son truly appreciates, admires and looks up to Master Tanna? He does and he looks forward to coming here every time. The value Master Tanna brings to these kids is second to none. Thank you, Master Tanna! Keep being amazing!

The instructors at Club KO genuinely care about the people in their class. They will politely correct form and also provide encouragement if they see the class struggling (they never single anyone out). As you walk in, the front desk is always friendly. The instructors (once they know you) will say hi as you walk in. The classes and their content vary based on day and time. If you're reading this and timid about your first class, here's how it will go: Show up 10-15 minutes before class. Be ready to sign a waiver. If you don't have gloves they will provide them for the first class. I'd recommend having your own wraps but I've seen them give latex gloves to people to wear in their gloves. Class starts with jump rope, and then it gets into boxing. You have one 5-minute break in the middle. You will sweat, you will get fit. I would recommend Club KO to anyone interested in getting fit or learning about boxing. And in case anyone is wondering, I've never seen anyone get hit in the head or the body in a class.
