Fighting Warriors are like family. You will learn traditional karate. Sensei Edric is extremely…read morepassionate about carrying on the tradional style and making sure his students are proficient at both Katas and fighting. There is no group testing and no paying to get belted up like so many Mcdojos are these days. It is not a daycare either. They only train and they train hard. Your tuition includes 3, 1 hour classes per week. There is a 2 hours class on Saturday too for a little extra...but it is optional. My kids started somewhere else and Sensei has taken them to the next level, including winning a Texas State Championship. They also have Japanese Jujitsu with Master Grey. He is an experienced instructor that honed his skills teaching in the US Army Combative Program and is in the Hall of Fame. JJJ is an ancient no-frill style that is all about aiming for the immediate submission through painful joint locks and other moves. Master Grey and Sensei Edric also Teach MMA and Boxing if you are interested. Professor Féu is the DDRBJJ instructor. His passion for his students also shines through also. He is from Brazil and brings real traditional BJJ roots with him. They also offer a women's fitness and self defense classes nightly with Ms Grace. The class schedule is very standard and doesn't change. All classes are 1 hour. There is NO CONTRACT for any class and even offer discounts for taking multiple classes or if you have multiple students.

In my time here, not only have I constantly set and reached my personal goals, I've also grown closer to a diverse community of people who have a similar growth mindset, and love to have tons of fun while doing so. Master Grey is extremely passionate about martial arts, and has a broad range of background experience to support his instruction. Being here has increased my confidence in my self-defense abilities and in my mental clarity. Classes here are usually held in the evenings during the week which allow me to come in after a work day to de-stress. Master Grey is also available for group and individual trainings when needed. This place is a great fit for anyone willing to learn and try something new!

When joining victory, I really didn't expect much. I thought that maybe my daughter would learn how to karate chop. Or, that she would have a pretty cool extra curricular activity. To date, what we both got out of it was invaluable. Know that the entire Stone Oak staff works seamlessly. The continuity of their message and cohesive values reflect integrity, character, and strength. Even though it's not been 12 months since joining, I look forward to many more years of working with Mr. Price, Mr. Hejduk and the lovely Ms. Hejduk. You are all appreciated!

This wasn't during any activity involving risk--once was while standing at attention and another time during photos. He was not pulled aside and spoken to, or had the rules explained to him in advance. Both times the instructor spoke to him in front of the entire group. The second time, during the photos, the instructor yelled my son's name and "STOP!" He was making a face, not hitting someone. The tone was out of place for what was supposed to be a fun event and left him embarrassed. It seems their party format is run more like a structured class. That may work for some families, but it's not what we expected from a birthday celebration. After leaving feedback, I was contacted and it was made clear this is their standard approach and won't change. Parents should be aware of that going in.
