Wow! No reviews since 2017. I was a member from 2017 to 2019. The only reason I stopped my…read moremembership was because I'm moving out of town. The instructors at Club KO genuinely care about the people in their class. They will politely correct form and also provide encouragement if they see the class struggling (they never single anyone out). As you walk in, the front desk is always friendly. The instructors (once they know you) will say hi as you walk in. The classes and their content vary based on day and time. If you're reading this and timid about your first class, here's how it will go: Show up 10-15 minutes before class. Be ready to sign a waiver. If you don't have gloves they will provide them for the first class. I'd recommend having your own wraps but I've seen them give latex gloves to people to wear in their gloves. Class starts with jump rope, and then it gets into boxing. You have one 5-minute break in the middle. You will sweat, you will get fit. I would recommend Club KO to anyone interested in getting fit or learning about boxing. And in case anyone is wondering, I've never seen anyone get hit in the head or the body in a class.

The coaches are very welcoming but will make you sweat! They will push you but you also have to push yourself. They have great group classes that are still pretty interactive despite it being a group vs one on one. And the one on one training session are extremely valuable and you will get worked!

CKO delivered all of that and more. With top-tier equipment and excellent instruction, Coach Chris challenges the kids to stay focused and continuously improve their technique. At the same time, he keeps every class positive, energetic, and fun. He also takes the time to share funny moments with parents, creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels connected. Because of this supportive atmosphere, my children pushed themselves further than they ever had before. They became stronger, learned proper kicking and punching techniques, improved their conditioning, built confidence, and made great friends along the way. If you're looking for a program that helps children grow both physically and personally, I highly recommend CKO Kickboxing San Antonio. The coaches genuinely care about every child and are committed to helping them succeed. We'll definitely be back, and I may even join the adult kickboxing program myself. The workouts are fun, the music is great, and the instruction helps you develop real technique while working toward your fitness goals. Thank you, CKO Kickboxing San Antonio family, for everything you've done for us!

This is structured as a boxing for fitness class, so you won't be expected to spar at any point, and no worries if you're nervous about coming in. The staff is incredibly friendly-- and it's not just one person; it's everyone I've interacted with so far. I've been to various gyms (CrossFit-esque, luxury/boutique, smaller/independent kickboxing). Still, I don't recall an instructor asking me on the first day of coming in about my personal goals and how they could help me attain them. They're also offering personal training if that's something that interests you. The facilities are immaculate and still in excellent condition, but they haven't been open that long. The room where classes are held is split in half: uppercut bags on one side and benches with weights on the other. Lockers are available along the wall near the entrance, and there is a water fountain if you bring a reusable water bottle. If you don't have the gear, no sweat. They've got some you can borrow, and if you decide to sign up, you can buy some gloves and quick wraps there. If you're new and unsure, I suggest you take an intro class and take advantage of the BOGO offer for first-timers. That way, you'd take three classes and choose the best plan for you.
