WORST EXPERIENCE!…read more Their violinist canceled on us two weeks before our wedding day!!! They had a contract with us for 8 months and acted like it was meaningless. The violinist booked another job shortly after our contract was signed in Jan and never told us for 8 months until Aug!! She tried to pass off her friend to fill in for her but her friend was a rock and roll singer/violist and it was not at all comparable to the vibe we wanted for our ceremony. The violinist said the other job paid more and that it was her 'breadwinner'. It was extremely hard to get a hold of the performer during the contract and The owner refused to pay for the difference to book another musician. The only reason we even found out was because I reached out to the performer and manager to send our ceremony songs and she replied saying she had another job booked!!! This place is a joke. They put an extreme amount of stress on my family and I canceling this late before our wedding. Thankfully I found someone to fill our wedding date on the side but the owner would not pay or contribute to the new cost. The owner also went black for 3 days w/o communication to us. It was an absolute nightmare!!!! They also had employees leave the company during our experience with them changing around our point of contact. Untrustworthy. Unprofessional. Unreliable. Poor business management.

I am so impressed with his talent, professionalism, and even down to the little details of being kind to my kids as everyone was breaking down for the night. The song that he and his team created for my parents will be cherished for the rest of our lives!!! The music for the evening was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!

Versatility and talent beyond compare…read more After reading all the glowing reviews of Michael Tiernan's musicianship my wife and I felt honored to be able to make a date with him to provide the music for a party at The Thursday Club in Point Loma. The party was partially a 50th anniversary but mostly a celebration of great friendships of many years. He did an incredible job of playing songs that were the perfect complement to the changing dynamics of the entire evening. Michael is a charming individual and when the mood was right he played songs that engaged the crowd, captured their attention and drew applause. He's a master at reading the room. Toward the end of the evening a contingent got up and started dancing between the tables. Michael was totally in his element. He can create all the high energy party vibe you could want. He has spontaneous looping techniques that make his renditions of songs as full bodied as a band. As part of the planning process we received a list of songs that are in his repertoire. You would not believe the length of the list and the variety of situations and moods he can bring to life. This next part is slightly humorous, but testifies to what a great guy Michael is. Since the majority of the crowd was going to be septuagenarians like ourselves, we were concerned that if the music was too "prominent" the guests might have difficulty hearing each other and conversing. It was with a little trepidation that we brought up this concern with Michael. You don't sign up an artist with all his gifts and then ask him to play quietly. His response was immediate and completely understanding. He totally got it. He assured us he could keep it as mellow as we wanted. And he did it perfectly with no cues from us, especially during the crucial cocktail-hour part of the event which was an important time for people to mingle and visit. He reads the room. If you are planning a special event you hope to bring all the elements together to make it a great experience for all the guests. It's like an art project. Music is an essential part of the experience. Look no further for an amazingly gifted musician who can work with you to craft the occasion to your desires to make it a meaningful and joyful celebration.

He spent the time and energy to learn how to play a few select songs on the ukulele for our ceremony and it was so perfect for what we wanted. He was enthusiastic about our music selection and I was happy everytime I heard the music in the background while mingling with friends or was out on the dance floor with the love of my life. You can't go wrong with Nick, especially if you want a talented live musician who plays beautifully, but also has a great knowledge of varying music and the history. We would definitely hire Nick again in the future if we needed a DJ and you should hire him for your wedding.

We had a family reunion / 85th birthday bonfire on the beach this summer and Nick more than rose to the challenge of coordinating with multiple point-people, reassuring us that he could accommodate various municipal sound regulations, and coming up with a set list for for what was supposed to be singalong for a multi-generational group. Not only did he seem unflapped by the pre-planning complications, he handled the day-of complications with incredible aplomb. As anyone who has hosted a large family event knows, little snags are bound to creep up and demand your attention, but Nick was absolutely not one of them. He showed up, set up, and rolled with the vibe, even when it wasn't exactly what we'd prepared him for. His professional self-managing was a HUGE relief, and honestly, even the party planners were all able to just sit back and enjoy. Nick set a blissful mood with his dreamy guitar playing. He really is as talented as he is gracious. It would not have been the same without him. I absolutely could not recommend Nick more highly.

Brian's live music created such a beautiful, meaningful atmosphere for our ceremony and set the perfect relaxed, elegant tone for cocktail hour. The cadence of the music, the song order, and the timing of the MC'ing were all flawless. Every transition felt seamless, and they knew exactly how to keep the party going without ever making the night feel rushed or overproduced. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the music was. It truly made such a difference in the overall feeling of our wedding day. Brian and Mike were professional, talented, intuitive, and such a joy to work with. We hired Brian for a private party and I honestly cannot say enough good things. He played keyboard and acoustic guitar, sometimes switching between the two like it was nothing, and his voice was stunning. Like, stop-your-conversation-mid-sentence stunning. I had written him about my husband's favorite group, Dawes, and he surprised us by singing, and playing one of our absolute favorites from them. It was so incredibly special! If you're on the fence about hiring live music for your next event, this is your sign. Book him. You will not regret it. 10/10, would absolutely have him back and we will!!!
