First and foremost, there was an issue with my Expedia booking and the front desk agent was super nice and patient as we squared it away. He even walked us to our room! The place has been updated and cute but a few small details just need some work. Like the curtains are too short and leave big gaps. Being on the 3rd floor not usually a problem but the balconies are all connected. The shower had pieces peeling off. The edge of the parking lot is a heap of broken fence falling in and a mess. Four stars, and really could be a five if a few things are addressed…read more First, let's just get this out of the way: Metro Boston (including Plymouth) is expensive as far as hotel/accommodations go. That $70-100 a night hotel you stay at in most of the country likely doesn't exist here. And if it does, it usually has the word "bed bug" or "cockroach" somewhere in the Yelp review. Based on my research, the Best Western Plus is the best bang for your buck. You get a reasonably nice room with all the typical hotel chain amenities you expect. It is less than a mile from two of the main strips along Court/Main, and it is a mile away from Plymouth Rock. The drain on the bathroom sink isn't very intuitive (you have to push it in and down and not just turn a nob or anything like that) but beside that, all of the knobs, light switches, etc... make sense. There is a good amount of outlets throughout the room. Room was relatively clean, but a couple of stains along the carpet could be addressed at some point with a deep cleaning. Wi-Fi speed is really slow but I doubt Plymouth is known for its Internet speeds. If you have a decent data connection on your phone, you'll probably be using that more. +1 star for solar panels being installed. Decent hotel. Close enough to the sites of Plymouth while not having to deal with the typical tourist traps.

Today, Weds Sept 6, the fourth time, she was in. The staff had left her a message that said I would appreciate a call back. There was no call. I asked her to review her policy and please make an exception for my nephew. We obviously couldn't let them know with the required thirty days notice as he passed less than thirty days before our reservation. They could have refunded his money. Then, they would be receiving an excellent review right now. But they decided to be brusque, and defensive, and hostile. The owner strikes me as angry and in the wrong business. In any case they would not budge and so I am letting people know she never extended a "sorry for your loss", she never said "I wish we could but we just can't", and she was unkind. I ended up crying and she moved right on. I am not recommending anyone put themselves through this kind of treatment, and I will not spend my money at an unkind establishment. I worked there three summers as a chambermaid. She was not impressed. I grew up in this town. I know people she knows. I have worked in the service industry for forty years myself, which did not impress her. But most importantly, she went out of her way to be unkind. I am sorry to do this to anyone but I would NOT recommend going there until another more compassionate human being is in charge.
