Covered porch with rocking chairs

Nicely located inn with Cape charm. Walking distance to beach, shops, restaurants (10 mins). Clean and friendly. Ample free parking and a decent morning breakfast with good hours (7-10). No housekeeping during our stay, but available if needed something. Nice to have 2 sinks/vanity areas. One inside bathroom and one outside bathroom. 2 full length mirrors.

Bathroom (room 19)

My husband, myself, and another couple just stayed at the Best Western Cold Spring from Fri-Sun. I was pleasantly surprised. Originally, we were due to stay in the 2 cabins that face Court Street, but they were not yet complete with the renovation. Kevin was great with keeping me up to date on the cabins' progress and when he knew they would not be complete, he put us in what I think to be the next best rooms. We were in room 19, our friends were in room 20. As you can see from my pics, the location was perfect. It was quiet and we enjoyed sitting in the adirondack chairs and talking with our friends each night. Keep in mind, this is not a luxury resort, but is what I believe to be probably one of the nicest motels/hotels closest to Plymouth waterfront. The landscape was impeccable. I was impressed with how clean everything was. The room was a perfect size with a t.v., mini-microwave/mini-fridge, flat screen t.v. desk/chair, free wifi and bath/shower. The only thing I would say is that they could use an air freshener in there. It didn't smell bad, or musty, but a little stuffy and it would've been nice had it smelled a bit better. Fresh Remote Control in the room which I had never seen. Complimentary Breakfast- Breakfast is served from 7am-10am in a small area off the office. If you don't find room in there to eat, they offer patio seating across the way from the breakfast area. We had plenty of room. Everything was very fresh, clean and tasty & the women that worked there were friendly and very busy making sure all was up to par. They offer, Make your own waffles/ English muffins/toast of different kinds/bagels/muffins/danish/sausage/eggs (or 1 day was an egg omlette type thing) salsa/cheese/bananas/delicious fresh fruit/yogurt/granola/oatmeal/coffee/tea/water/juices/hot chocolate. Pool/Fitness area: We didnt' use either, but the pool looked very clean as did the pool area. It is a nice sized pool. No hot tub. Location- This hotel is in a great location. You walk across the street and down another side street to get you to the Plymouth Waterfront. If you don't mind a 5-8 min. walk, it's perfect. It's close enough, yet not right in the center of Plymouth with the hustle and bustle and loud noise. We ate at Waterfront Grill & Bar and it was very good. Nice to sit outside on the top deck. Also recommend Cabby Shack which is right on the waterfront and outside seating available. You must visit Cupcake Charlies too! We will definitely be back. Every staff member we encountered was great! We loved it and had such a great weekend.

View from the porch outside our room

Could not have asked for a nicer place. Beautiful, very large room with free wifi, micro and fridge. Plenty of room for 4 adults to unpack and stretch out--even a recliner! Plenty of places to lay out luggage, toiletries, etc. The setting is absolutely gorgeous very new England and the buildings are set in a little compound nicely landscaped. Very comfortable beds. Great location very very accomodating, friendly staff--and free hot breakfast. Oh, and the price was amazing even in a peak week in the summer. Why isn't every motel like this?

Standing at the entry.

My family from out of state recently came to town and stayed here. Nothing but rave reviews. The ownership is the best.

Pros: -huge parking lot. I unexpectedly had a rental car and didn't know if they had parking so I was pleased by this. -very nice rooms, a little bit small, but not too bad. -extremely comfortable bed. I had two queen beds in my room and had a great night sleep for both nights. -nice toiletries -friendly staff Cons: -this is going to sound random, but I hit my shins on the corners of the bed about three or four times - it was enough to leave a mark. I'm pretty clumsy, but that was a lot. -I think there were a lot of kids and teenagers in the hotel who were using the pool, and my room happened to be right next to the elevator and on the route to the pool, so there were often people congregating in the hallway and talking and being loud. That being said, it did not affect my sleep, and neither did being right next to the elevator, so that was good. -the shower was rather slippery, but they did provide a mat to stand on. I would stay at this hotel again when in the area, I saw that our group rate was $169 per night, which seems pretty fair to me. To clarify, this was a Wednesday and Thursday night stay, not a weekend.

We were notified a few days before our trip that one of us would not be able to get a mani/pedi. Thankfully, we asked about our couples massage because that had to be corrected as well. Everything else went smoothly upon arrival. We were greeted at check-in and shown to our rooms and helped with our bags. Our room was beautiful and had a lovely fireplace, patio and view of the grounds. Every meal that we ate on site was incredible. We even ordered room service one morning to take full advantage of our room. The staff everywhere was kind, helpful, and fun. We definitely want to plan a trip back and take advantage of the bike rentals that they have available. Great location, excellent place for a calm, relaxing weekend on the grounds and even easy to wander into town.

"no parking either side" abounds. oh and there are no bathrooms which isn't abnormal, except that there are no nearby businesses to beg for toilet access, so plan ahead and wear a diaper. redeeming factor for WHB? July 3. on July 3 the town and it's super rich beachfront property owners host an informal Independence Day kick off. Fireworks legitimately start at 5PM, when the sun is still high in the summer sky and you're working on only your first corona. as soon as the sky twinges to cobalt the real show begins and it's almost like a fireworks showdown to see who has spent the most money and set off the coolest fireworks. All along the coast in plymouth you can see just hundreds of fireworks splattering all over the sky, and across the water in the marshfield area you can see other neighbors with the same idea. i'm not talking a few shots per hour, i'm literally telling you that from 7:30PM until 11:30PM there is an unending stream of fireworks exploding as far right as you can see and as far left. for a fireworks lover, THAT is the money shot. because it still gets so chilly on the water in the evenings, other families set up dozens of massive bonfires along the shoreline. They are gorgeous to watch and intensely warming at 11PM when you can't feel your toes or nose but want to stay for the fireworks finale. You can also barbeque on the beach which makes WHB pretty much perfect.
