Four stars, and really could be a five if a few things are addressed…read more First, let's just get this out of the way: Metro Boston (including Plymouth) is expensive as far as hotel/accommodations go. That $70-100 a night hotel you stay at in most of the country likely doesn't exist here. And if it does, it usually has the word "bed bug" or "cockroach" somewhere in the Yelp review. Based on my research, the Best Western Plus is the best bang for your buck. You get a reasonably nice room with all the typical hotel chain amenities you expect. It is less than a mile from two of the main strips along Court/Main, and it is a mile away from Plymouth Rock. The drain on the bathroom sink isn't very intuitive (you have to push it in and down and not just turn a nob or anything like that) but beside that, all of the knobs, light switches, etc... make sense. There is a good amount of outlets throughout the room. Room was relatively clean, but a couple of stains along the carpet could be addressed at some point with a deep cleaning. Wi-Fi speed is really slow but I doubt Plymouth is known for its Internet speeds. If you have a decent data connection on your phone, you'll probably be using that more. +1 star for solar panels being installed. Decent hotel. Close enough to the sites of Plymouth while not having to deal with the typical tourist traps.

This hotel is my favorite in Plymouth. The rooms are huge and well decorated and appointed. Wet…read morebar, large mini fridge, microwave, quiet and icy air conditioning, coffee maker, ironing amenities...everything! We didn't have to ask for a thing! Breakfast was better than your standard "continental" and parking is typically available right outside your room. I moved from Plymouth over 5 years ago, and stay in town about twice a year, and I'm truly disappointed in myself for not staying here sooner. No ocean view, but short walk (4 minutes)to Nelson Beach. About 15-20 minutes to walk to Mayflower and Rock if you don't get distracted by the pubs and gift shops! Pharmacy with food and beach stuff directly across the street. Pioppis liquor store across the street is ENORMOUS. They have everything. The Cold Spring hotel is a perfect location.

For a place that is in the hospitality industry, it's unfathomable to think they can be some incompetent. The other half of our guests stayed at Nantasket Beach Resort. Last year I reserved a room for my nephew who was up in Massachusetts for the memorial of his father who died of Covid. We thought waking up to the spectacular views of the harbor would be the perfect healing balm as my brother loved sailing. It was. This year we planned to get together for the same Heritage Days weekend. He reserved the room himself. Unfortunately my husband had a sudden unexpected heart attack and passed on July 13. We tried valiantly to salvage our plans but needed to change them once we set the memorial dates. I felt responsible for the cancellation and went in to the Inn this past week to see if I could explain. The manager was not in all Labor Day weekend. I called four times. Today, Weds Sept 6, the fourth time, she was in. The staff had left her a message that said I would appreciate a call back. There was no call. I asked her to review her policy and please make an exception for my nephew. We obviously couldn't let them know with the required thirty days notice as he passed less than thirty days before our reservation. They could have refunded his money. Then, they would be receiving an excellent review right now. But they decided to be brusque, and defensive, and hostile. The owner strikes me as angry and in the wrong business. In any case they would not budge and so I am letting people know she never extended a "sorry for your loss", she never said "I wish we could but we just can't", and she was unkind. I ended up crying and she moved right on. I am not recommending anyone put themselves through this kind of treatment, and I will not spend my money at an unkind establishment. I worked there three summers as a chambermaid. She was not impressed. I grew up in this town. I know people she knows. I have worked in the service industry for forty years myself, which did not impress her. But most importantly, she went out of her way to be unkind. I am sorry to do this to anyone but I would NOT recommend going there until another more compassionate human being is in charge.
