Great foot massage! Don't be confused when they say 60 min foot massage, thinking you're getting the whole body reflexology foot massage deal that other places offer. This one is purely 60 min of uninterrupted foot massaging bliss. The woman who rubbed my feet was really good and I felt like a new person walking out of their shop at the end. My friend and coworker who lives nearby was floored by how relaxing it was. The foot massage takes place in an open area where you will be seated in a very comfy chair with ottoman. You get the typical 5-10 min foot soak before they get to work on your feet. It was so relaxing both of my friends fell asleep by the middle of the session. Can't say enough good things about the massage here! I called ahead of time to make sure they could take all 3 of us and they were very accommodating. We were there right up until closing and they didn't rush us out or anything. I look forward to returning in the future! read more

Was having back, neck and shoulder issues today. My normal massage therapy location was closed. After checking other locations in the area, I called to see if there were any openings here. I was told 930. I killed some time and came in about 925. I hadn't been here before, so I wanted a few extra moments to look over the services menu etc. Perhaps it was the time or available staff, but the registrar only pointed to a 1 hr foot massage or a 1 hour full body massage. I chose full body. I was led back to a clean, tidy room and was told (mild language barriers) to hang my jacket up, to lie down and to put the "towel" (thin, somewhat slippery fabric) on my back. I should say now, I am a regular massage client due to some past injuries and work stress - most places guide new clients through the level of disrobing expected. After a short internal debate I decided that this was a standard Swedish style setup despite the smaller, slippery covering and disrobed to the standard (at least in EP) underwear only level. I should add that new therapy locations give me mild anxiety over several unpleasant/awkward experiences with "less professional" establishments. No such problem here despite some unusual choices by the therapist later in the session to use arms and knees at the came time by balancing on top of me. It was strange, but didn't feel inappropriate. The therapist was pretty good overall, though she left the session 20 minutes in with no warning and came back a few minutes later with hot stones and steaming hot towels. My back was being resistant and she wanted to try heat to get better results - but I wasn't expecting it, so it was a shock. I definitely liked it and will consider hot stone massage again on the future. The therapist seemed to only do a cursory job on hands, legs and feet, but again, my back was a mess. After a perfectly fine frontal massage (again, very little hand, foot leg attention), the session was over. I was annoyed to see the clock in the room showing 10:14. I took the photo after I was dressed and ready to go pay. Glad not to have been unwittingly up charged for hot stones, but it was still a 45 minute session that was meant to be an hour. Terrible massage? No... It was fine. The whole experience? A bit awkward and disappointing. Will I come back here? Probably not. read more

Shanghai Tea Spa - Massage Near Me - El Paso, Texas

Just moved here from the Seattle area. There, I get foot massages weekly. This past Tuesday, I woke up with pain in my back and a pinched nerve in the lower back. So I decided to try this place and get a hot stone table massage. It was FANTASTIC! One of the best massages I've had. Grace is incredible and has excellent technique. I will definitely be back. This may be my new spot for weekly massages! read more

I went with my mom , my sister and my pregnant cousin and it was all our first time getting a massage. All our experiences differed a little. I got a 1 hour hot stone body massage for $65 which was amazing. My mom got a neck and foot massage which she enjoyed but also felt like it started hurting at a point and her masseuse used very little lotion/oil which bruised her neck. My cousin got a neck and foot as well but her masseuse actually fell asleep while massaging her feet...we felt kinda bad because maybe she was overworked , but it kinda dimmed my cousin's experience. Overall it was nice. The atmosphere was very relaxing with soothing music and dim lighting and the staff was extremely friendly. The offered us cups of water while we waited and sat in these cushiony seats. read more

My mother in law took my wife and I over the weekend so we could all see what this place and massage was all about. This was all of our first time at a place like this so we didn't know quite what to expect. They specialize in Chinese foot massages so I was expecting something that looked like a typical pedicure type place. I was waaaay off. Upon walking in you will see that the place is gorgeous. In the main area there are about 6 over sized leather chairs all facing a fake fireplace thing and a nice big plasma TV. The place is very dimly lit and has dark wood floors and furnishings so it has a really chill vibe going on. The place was super clean and the staff was super nice so I was getting excited about this massage. We each took a seat in a chair and started to relax. They bring you cup of tea, an almond cookie and some chocolate candy thing. Everything was very good and relaxing. Then they fill a big bucket with hot water, place it below your big comfy chair, and place your feet into it. It was awesome, super relaxing and by far the best part of my foot massage experience. About 10-15 minutes later they remove your feet from the water and the massaging begins. I was expecting a very relaxing and gentle massage, but what happened was quite the opposite...... I was not a fan of the massage. It was very painful as my massage lady must have prodded her super strong fingers into every one of my foot's pressure points. I wanted to tell her to lighten up a bit, but I didn't want to seem like a baby and I wanted the full foot massage experience. I mean if their literature is right, "I will feel as if I've added years to my life" and "my stress will melt away". Between my eyes tearing up and my fists tightly clenched because of the pain; I think it may have taken away years from my life and added stress. I almost just got up several times but didn't want to be rude. I figured I could go to the 'happy place' in my mind because it would all be over soon. 1/2 way through the massage they bring you a cup of aloe vera juice and it was excellent. The sweetness took my mind off my feet so that was nice. I really don't like giving a less than excellent review to a small business that is really trying to make it. Especially one that has a very friendly staff and has put a ton of effort into making their service and location stand out from all the rest. Sure, I could have told my massage lady to lighten up but then I wouldn't have been given a proper Chinese foot massage. I wanted the full experience so I could report on it accurately. Would I come back? No. Should you go? Yes. I mean if you like deep massages that hit every one of the pressure points on your feet you didn't even know you had. If you enjoy such a thing then the Shanghai Tea Spa is your place! They also offer full body massages which they say are just like the foot massage (deep tissue) so if that is your cup of tea, drink it. read more

I love Shanghai tea spa!!!! You come in and you are greeted by the friendly staff, they take you to your very own huge love seat you then get to soak your feet in a bucket of hot water while they massage your face and shoulders! They then move to your feet which they are so good at!!!!! I always get the 1 hour foot massage for only 40$! Like?!?!? Plus you get a little face and shoulder massage while your feet soak, what more could you ask for??? The room is very inviting! It's dark and there is spa music playing in the background everyone keep it very quiet and peaceful! They use oil or lotion to massage your legs and they make sure to cover them when they are done with each foot. They always offer to give you tea which just adds to the whole experience! Give it a try, you WONT regret it!! read more

I am a regular at this place. I'm there at least once a week. Great massages as well as amazing chair foot and shoulder massages. Love that walk-ins are welcomed! read more

Probably my favorite place in town to get a massage. Like anywhere else, the experience is largely dependent on the masseuse. I've had some of the best massages I've ever had here, but also some that were nothing to write home about. Figure out who you like and stick to them. Some folks will complain about the pressure provided in certain circumstances, but just tell them to reduce the pressure and they're more than happy to. Also, if you want a place where a 90lb Chinese woman will walk all over your back, you've found it. I had always assumed it was something you see in movies that we didn't have in El Paso, but after getting walked all over, I'm a fan. The quality for the price can't be beat. read more

Terrible. My fiancé and I got a couples massage. They left the door completely wide open while I was naked. The masseuse also sneezed and then kept massaging me. They never asked what type of pressure I wanted or what areas to focus on or avoid. The quality of the massage was terrible as well. I definitely do not recommend this place. read more

This place is amazing. For $40 you get a wonderful foot massage. They start by soaking your feet and while your feet are soaking they do a shoulder massage. Susan rocks, I always request her when I go , shes strong and does a great job for me! Highly recommend , just make sure you tip!

I wish I could give minus 5 star. A five year old can do it better. Whole 90 min was totally random rubbing, no technique whatsoever..... When I call for reservation, she didn't even ask for my name, they can't even take a proper reservation.. She literally watched her cell phone while doing the massage. She went away and got the door during massage and constantly talking to other employees. I asked for 90 min massage they say 70 min with phareses of English then performed 90. They are supposed to put spices to your bucket of water and they don't do it. Music started relaxing oriental music to piano music. At the and they will push you to tip %20 Worst money I ever spent in my life. I literally counted down the minutes of torture. I wish I had stand up and left at the beginning not to save money but whole nightmare. And it looked like she was the owner or manager sort. So this is not a rookie employee but general practice. Instead of relaxing and getting rid of negativity, they gave a trauma that will last for long time, I wish I could delete that 90 min of my life. I will never come back even if they pay me for it. read more

Do not take your significant other; if you want your relationship to last! I am surprise how this place is still open, and hasn't been raided by Department of Homeland Security. I think the sign outside for "foot massage" is code for something else. I do not even want to imagine what they did to my ex-boyfriend, but all I know, is that he is now a regular! Do not get the one hour, as they will give you 40 minutes top. Also beware that in the middle your session, they will change your masseuse without giving you a reason, only because someone else is requesting the one your have, and the new customer doesn't want to wait. Will I go back?: NO. Do I Recommend?: No read more

Horrible service. I had appointment and I came 10 min earlier. One old lady told me I should wait 20 min because other customers later, so I did. After 25 min later, there came two people, they didn't have appointment but they went into room. One young therapist told me all of them were busy now so I should come one hour later. They hurt me, and I will never back. read more

Horrible massage. My friend and I both had a bad experience yesterday. My massage was way too hard after I told them I didn't want it hard. I was in pain the whole time while I was getting the massage. When she was working on my upper back and neck she was so rough my back was biting so bad i thought she was trying to start a fire sadly I also woke up in so much pain and super sore. It felt like she was trying to kill me. She was almost ripping my neck to shreds and stabbed my head really hard with her fingers, not sure what that was supposed to do besides bruise me up. I felt as if my hair was being ripped out of my head when she said she was going to do a scalp massage. She also gave me a mediocre face massage that made me get irritation all over my face from whatever lotion they used. I didn't understand what type of massage she was trying to give me. We both asked for Swedish massages. My friend had to sit up in the middle of it because she felt she was going to get sick from the roughness of the massage. We won't be going back. I've never been in so much pain during a massage, it was supposed to be relaxing and it was torture for both of us. read more

Do not recommend. After visiting this place, I got a nasty case of the foot fungus. Now every time I take off my shoes it smells like rancid Nacho Cheese Doritos. Not "cool ranch" at all. When I remove my socks it looks like I've got cheese curds between my toes. I called management about it and they questioned my personal hygiene, as if it's my fault their place is filthy with infestation. Normally I wouldn't consider myself to be an arachnophobe, but while the massage was ongoing I looked around the room and noticed a spider the size of my head on the wall. Now I typically don't mind spiders but the ugliness of this monstrosity really freaked me out. After hearing my shrill cry of terror, the presumptive owner of the spider came in the room, gently put it in a small cage and left without saying a word. I'm not sure what they are eating in the Far East, but if this place ever opens a restaurant, I'd say take a pass. read more

Today I got a deep tissue massage there. A man who works there was my masseuse and when he was massaging my upper legs his thumb pressed into my vagina. It was only for a second but I was very alarmed and confused. It was probably an accident but it made me very uncomfortable. Even if it was an accident though, shouldn't he be aware of where his hands are? Later he stretched my legs, which was fine, except for the blanket wasn't covering me well and I was very exposed and once again feeling vulnerable and uncomfortable. I just don't feel good about this experience. I've been here in the past with a lady and it was a great massage (which is why I'm not giving it 1 star) but I won't ever go back after this. read more

Best massage I've ever gotten! Went there with my sisters for deep tissue massages and we agree they were amazing and worth the price.

My husband and I went for a full body massage and had a major problem communicating with them. Apparently, they speak little or no English! The man that I had stepped out of the room numerous times and after having only a half body massage (back, head & arms) he turned on the light and said in very clear English, "All done!" My husband's experience was slightly better. He was asked by the woman how hard of a massage he wanted. I was never asked! Will not recommend nor return to this establishment! read more
