My husband is a 100% disabled Navy Vet who has had 4 back surgeries and is about to go for his fifth in two months for herniated discs and sciatica. I brought him to see Alex Lopez at Sundown Massage for a deep tissue massage for a little bit of relief. The VA has been filling my husband's stomach with nothing but narcotics and lidocaine patches to dull the pain so we needed to try something different. We walked into Alex's absolutely Zen-garden home and the first thing that hit us was a blast of refreshing aromas that would calm a raging beast from a tantrum! Next, Alex's warm smile and beautiful demeanor eased making his home feel like ours! We were not customers at a place of business; we were old friends visiting a retreat spa to get away from any and all problems just outside of the front door. My husband has PTSD and meeting new people, especially in a confined space such as a private massage room with one we just met, should have sent him into a rage filled trauma episode. Alex made sure that my husband felt super comfortable and with a serene atmosphere in the room, he went to work on my husband's war torn body. Although the pain of a deep tissue massage is enough to make a grown man wail in agony, Alex did his best to make sure and put my husband at ease through each knot and cramp. Working his way on his surgery scars, Alex made sure to relieve every pressure point without causing excess pain. My husband came out looking like a wet linguine noodle but he actually claimed that he regained some feeling in his legs! I'm not claiming that Alex is a miracle worker by any means but he is definitely our guardian angel!! Alex makes you feel comfortable the moment you arrive. I was escorted to the room.. clean, massage table was preset with clean fresh linens, room temp was spot on. Once Alex started the massage, well.. it was so good, that I became very relaxed right away as he has the right touch.. warm hands helped with the muscle response to relax. Alex found all the hidden knots and began to work those away. I plan on making more frequent appt's with Alex. First massage was good and relaxing. He discussed massage plan and paid up front for massages at reduced rate. Booked twice and each time cancelled morning of appt. This last time I text to confirm and never heard back until day after and said phone was being worked on. Never replied about refund. Good massage just don't prepay for any services. read more

I agree 100% with Amanda Rodriguez. Great for one session. I got that package, and this guy Alex is hard to get a hold of . I had an appointment with him, and he was a no call, no show. He called an hour later to say he was there. At that point, I had business to attend to. When I ask for my refund for the services he did not provide, he claimed i was harassing him. Then text me later to offer me to make another appointment. Really, who does that. We finally spoke and I mentioned to him that it was not a good idea to continue as a client of his, and he literally hung up on me. So not only did I lose out on his services but 190.00 dollars. I had mentioned to him about my weight issues on my first session , and recommended some pills from Mexico. He showed my some disturbing pictures of his weights loss that contained half naked pics. Then had the nerve to send me the pics through text. Hope you all take this complaint serious, because Alex is bad news. Great guy and great service. I've been to enough massage therapist to know Alex is legit. I knew i'd be a return customer after only a few minutes. Also he was very accommodating and flexible with his services. When i asked for only upper body, mainly neck and shoulder, he was happy to focus on that. read more
