It was not soft which made it hard to pick up the sauce on my plate. The mango lassi was a bit too yogurt forward. The star of the show were the samosas. They were still hot with the right amount of spice. The next time I want Southwest flavours I will try another restaurant.

You order at the counter and they bring you the food at the table. The wontons are piping hot. Vinegar, sriracha, soy sauce and hot oil is on each table for self serve. The decor is the same minimalist one as when it opened. They seem to have opened up the back room. If this keeps the price down, it's fine with me.

I had the pork mushroom wontons with peanut sauce and tried some noodles from a family memeber. The wontons, peanut sauce and the noodles were delicious and flavorful. Cool place with some front window seats, 4 booths and a larger table that fits 10 or so people. Their specialty looks to be a juicy lucy aka patty stuff with cheese the melts when you cook it. I ended up getting a cheeseburger combo. The burgers are good. They're in tough competition with some really good burgers down the street...which are about $10+ more expensive though. Combo your meal for $4 which gives you fries and drink. I enjoy the fries as well. They also have some interesting sides like tornado fries, poutine, sweet potato fries and a few others which I think you can upgrade to. I'll be back to try other things but wanted to put it in your radar if you're in the area.

I didn't even know this was a thing before I stepped into this restaurant. The lovely lady at the front explained that it's essentially a halal way to have bacon, and it is pretty similar. Not quite bacon, but a good alternative. We added it to our burger but I ate it separately to get the full experience. I would go back here! Not sure I would add the bacon, but I would certainly enjoy a burger again.

Though located in byward market, this restaurant is a steps away from the busy parts. The restaurant itself has an outdoor patio & 2 different dinning areas. One seems to be more vibrant in colour the other room is dark interior with mood lighting. The brunch menu was a fusion of Turkish and parts of Middle East. Here is what enjoyed: Muhamara was our favourite, the perfect blend of cashew and red peppers. Stuffed Grape leaves were alright. Lubneh with Dukkah beats was tasty. The beets added a rich flavour to the yogurt dish. Beef lahmoujoun, the mint/dill sauce it was paired with was absolutely delicious. Turkish Egg, poached eggs with labneh. It was good but eventually the flavour of yogurt was too empowering & it needed a something to balance. I ended up mixing muhamara with it. Shakshuka, this was alright. Black seed pancakes, this was a savoury item served with tabouli. This was probably the least favourite on the table. The flavour was bland. Overall, the experience was good. The service was great! Our food arrived in a timely manner. The server did a great job at examining the menu.
