Rather than listening to me and taking time to find out about my care, he basically said; "If you fight me on this, I will refuse to be your doctor." I used to work for doctor's offices, just really bad bedside and worse front office who won't do their own work but ask patients to basically self serve their paperwork. This was not an established doctor I was seeing, or an agreement to do anything other than to "meet and greet", that's what it means: to decide if I want him as a doctor. The next day, and one of the reasons to see the doctor was K their office called with this: "Oh we just found out you have insurance, you'll have to have a wellness visit." I asked her to call later because I have a fever. "No, she insisted to schedule right now, and after all they weren't demanding i come in "today". Wow. No how are you, no do you need to go to urgent care or hospital, absolutely NO awareness of patient empathy. Again, having worked in the front offices, there are ways to address patients and work with them rather than shaming them, and demanding appointments because they "all of a sudden found out we had insurance." The focus should be on the patient, not the financial outlay for insurance purpose.

I was never notified of this change. I tried calling to let them know I'd be 10 minutes late but was on hold the whole drive over. By the time I got there I was told I couldn't be seen and needed to reschedule (even though my appointment was scheduled to give me 40 minutes of care, so I should have still had 30 minutes of their time.) I immediately called and switched providers.

I used to have Dr. Jill Chaplin as my doctor. She retired and they referred me to Kelly Son while I was with Jill. She got me on Ozempic because of my weight and I have severe back issues. We thought that if I got some of the weight off, it would help assist with my back issues. I ended up losing about 40 pounds with Ozempic. Yes it helped some with the back pain then at that time I was using a special payment assistance program from nova to assist in the Ozempic so I wasn't paying anything then 2026 hit and they no longer cover that program. I'm not sure I understand but I did have D in my insurance and nothing was said now they won't approve it because I have D so that does not make any sense to me. Plus they're not covering that program anymore. We're mark comes in is that he has bent over backwards call after call to nova and to me trying to get things figured out I can't tell you how much time he has put into just my insurance and Ozempic plan. I know that there are hundreds of patients out there, he made me feel like I was the only patient he had. I feel like Mark should get some kind of recognition for this outstanding job he has done. He has provided over 110% in helping me and I thank you, Mark. Kimberly Garcia

I would give ZERO stars, if possible. Dr. Jane Neary was my doctor at McKenzie Family Practice for…read morea couple of years, and she is the absolute WORST! I've seen some bad doctors throughout my life, but I have yet to meet anyone who has the level of disrespect, apathy, incompetence, and laziness as Neary does. She should not be allowed to even "practice" medicine. She misdiagnosed me at least twice (can't even properly identify rosacea). If she couldn't find what was causing a health issue, she wouldn't look into it any further. She would just shrug her shoulders. She clearly does no research, doesn't keep up on current medicine, and doesn't ask her colleagues for their professional medical opinion. Basically, she wants you out of her office as soon as possible. The last straw for me was when I made an appointment with her, asking for help because I had lost a lot of weight due to a very stressful, traumatic life experience. I basically wanted to get some labs done to ensure that my health was still in relatively good condition, find a healthy way to gain the weight back, and I also explained to her what I had been going through. She immediately tried pushing anti-depressants on me... Just a band-aid to the issue (for which I was seeing a psychologist to work through). I have tried 4 different anti-depressants in the past, only to find that they made everything worse, including my health. I respectfully relayed this information to Neary, and she was instantly angry that I didn't want to take the anti-depressants. I told her how sick they made me, and she said in a very cold, unprofessional, and disrespectful manner, "Well you look sick already!". After that appointment, I was rightfully upset by what had happened. My doctor was supposed to be my advocate, not a mean jerk. I am better at writing what's on my mind than speaking it, so I wanted to calmly collect my thoughts and politely relay them to her. I let her know that I felt disrespected during the appointment and that I need to be able to openly communicate with my physician in a respectful, safe, and compassionate environment. After that, she immediately dismissed me from her practice without any advance notice. She knew I was in the middle of seeking treatment, but rather than apologize for her incredibly unprofessional behavior or make the situation right, she left me out on my own with no primary care physician. She also made a point to accuse me of having an eating disorder when she knew damn well that I do not and never have had one... Especially since part of the reason I made the appointment in the first place was to ask about a going to nutritionist so that I could put weight back on in a healthy way. I've never been so insulted by a so-called "medical professional". Stay far, far away from Neary. She is an absolutely awful person and negligent "doctor".

When there's a true crisis, Dr Neary goes far out of her way to assist a patient, spending a great deal of her time in relieving the patient's mental anguish as well as the physical symptoms. Her assistant, Leah, is a knowledgeable, personable gem of a human being, too.

Let me begin by saying that the physicians, physician's assistant (PA) and nurses I've dealt with…read moreat OMG are incredibly professional. I have only good things to say about the aforementioned group of people. However OMG has hired on at least 2 medical assistants (MA) who lack in tact, professionalism and courtesy. At Southtowne I had personal medical information practically broadcasted across a waiting room for all other patients to hear. The same MA refused to follow up with a PA who worked in the same office which lead to me taking an incomplete series of tests, even after I persisted with the request several times. The NOW Clinic is employing an MA who thinks it's appropriate to leave tests results on voicemail in an ominous manner with absolutely no explanation of the results. I cannot even begin to describe the amount of undue stress this caused on my entire family. OMG would GREATLY benefit by raising it's highering standards for MAs and focusing on impriving efficacy with better training and oversight.

First OMG randomly cancelled my biologics…read morechemotherapy, which endangers my life, but then they randomly dropped all of Dr Balsam's OHP patients without notice. When he retired they refused to reassign his patients and said "we aren't accepting NEW OHP patients", nvm the fact I've been with the practice for 20 years. The letter I received about his upcoming retirement said to call for further steps. I did and they said they can't tell me anything about further steps, can't reassign me to a new doctor, and I have to wait until he actually retires to see what happens. Fast forward a couple months and I call with a serious health concern and request to be seen, don't care by who ( in the past I've always just been scheduled with the crescent clinic), and was told "your doctor retired and we don't take Trillium so you're not our patient anymore, we can't see you." Incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful, and unethical behavior. Will be reporting to the Oregon medical board. OMG used to be a great clinic. Since Optum took over, they've become a dumpster fire. They also badly mishandled my Dad's treatment for years. They were giving him biologics chemotherapy for his condition as well, with zero oversight from any sort of doctor, and failed to have him overseen by a rheumatologist - the rheumatology clinic here failed me as well and is a total joke. He finally got his treatment handled through Slocum and is in much better shape now. He said he wasted years with OMG mismanaging his condition and unduly suffering due to their incompetence.
