Just wanted to write a review of Home Trimwork, as they certainly deserve it. I notice here on Yelp…read morethey currently don't have any reviews. I don't normally write reviews, but feel I must. Me and my wife couldn't be anymore happier with the work they've done and I know for folks who are searching for a company to go with, that you probably depend on reviews of others, just as I do. I'll post some pics of the work they've done in our house as well. I live in Chester Springs PA in the Weatherstone Community. We had three different quotes in for the work. Wainscoting throughout the house, replacing all of the window casing, door casing, baseboard and 1/4 round, crown molding, built-in bookshelves, and coffered ceilings - quite a bit of work. All three of the companies had helped with designing it. However, Ulan (Home Trimworks designer) was certainly the most helpful and helped the most. Being a designer myself just different industry (in Advertising), I can say he really knows what he's talking about and has a great vision for interior trim work. Their prices were certainly reasonable. They had two carpenters come in and do the work. They were blazing fast. The other companies that had quoted this project had this taking 4 weeks to complete after the materials came in. HT's materials took about 3 weeks to get here (was a lot of material, filled up half our garage), came from Bucks Lumber. However, their carpenters did it in only a week and a half! They don't waste any time. They were here at 8am everyday and left around 5pm, cleaning up after themselves every day. I work from home, so I'd interface with them everyday as well. Very friendly people. Some things came up during the carpentry and HT's workers were there to give suggestions on what should be done (obviously, we can't foresee every little small detail ahead of time, and the carpenters would point out all of the design decisions that needed to be done and made recommendations). Their work has completely changed our house, see pics. For anyone looking for a carpentry company, look no further -- they're the real deal. Thanks again HT. Cheers, Dave

We had an interest in renovating our main stairs and gave up after three estimates from central NJ…read moreestablishments. Our dissatisfaction was primarily due to misrepresentation of advertised slogans like "We do it from beginning to end." In reality services were mixed but no one offered a complete, finished project. Lacking services included removing old carpet, additional wood trim work, refinishing, staining and painting. To complete the project we in essence had to become the general contractor coordinating different services which was unacceptable. A friend recommended Home Trimwork in Huntingdon Valley, PA. The outcome far exceeded our high standards. The design manager showcased new ideas and in-depth experience during the 1st virtual session. After a few sessions we finalized the design and went to contract. The project details and timeline were clearly communicated. The project materials manager ordered the required materials and the project coordinator stayed in constant communication. The project started on time and the skilled wood craftsman was exceptional in terms of detail and quality workmanship. The final phase was painting and the outcome exceeded all our expectations. Every Home Trimwork team member was courteous, respectful of us and our property, highly skilled, professional and focused on providing an exceptional customer experience. We "highly" recommend contacting Home Trimwork for any custom woodwork projects.

Our only regret in hiring John Brady with Brady Property Services is that we didn't find and hire…read morehim sooner. John gave us a competitive estimate in mid-2022 to renovate a hallway and half bath - a project delayed by budgets and the pandemic for about 4+ years. We set a start date of early January 2023 and John began his work. We found John and his colleague to be extremely professional, prompt and thoughtful in their work. What's more - John asked questions and verified details with us as he went. There was no assuming what we might want, and he offered helpful ideas and recommendations. Working in a fairly tight space, John and his colleague were respectful of the fact that I work from home and, although construction noise is unavoidable when tearing down walls and what have you, they were not intrusive or blasting loud music as they worked. I sincerely appreciated their professional manner and dress because my mother lives with us and I am keenly aware of how strangers in the house might make her feel uncomfortable. They were so polite and respectful of her and my family. That cannot be said of all contractors. Now, the work quality: I'd rate it excellent or better. John took great care to ensure the quality of the work and materials would meet or exceed our expectations. He even found a better solution for some cabinets for us that matched the style we wanted without impacting the budget. The drywall work was excellent. He managed to match and/or mirror some intricate moldings to exactly what we hoped for. John also stayed late once or twice because he wanted to make sure the quality of the work was also up to his high standards. Prior to hiring John, we had another company work on a basement renovation. The comparison was like night and day. The company handling the basement took too long, cost too much and the quality of both the work and the workers was not good. Brady Property Services was a study in contrasts with John's work completed in a timely manner, staying within a reasonable budget and producing outstanding quality in the work itself. We have more projects to complete, and John will now be our first call for all of them. I highly recommend him.

We…read moreinvested more than $250,000 in a home addition and expected professional workmanship, attention to detail, and basic communication. Instead, we spent the entire project chasing people down, pointing out mistakes, repeatedly requesting repairs, and essentially babysitting the professionals we hired to do the job. Two years later, we are still dealing with the consequences of choosing this contractor. The problems started before the project even began, when the estimator failed to show up for our appointment twice. Unfortunately, that lack of reliability and communication continued throughout the project. Workers would either show up without notice, or fail to show up when expected. Communication was a consistent issue, and getting answers or having issues addressed required repeated follow-ups. The workmanship and attention to detail given to our home was beyond disappointing. The many problems we experienced include subpar materials used on our new stairs, poor construction of our portico requiring it to be rebuilt, corners of walls built not square - bordering on triangular shape (in two rooms, one was never repaired), horrible drywall work which had to be redone, painting which had to be redone in every room multiple times, a hallway left uninsulated while the workers threw away packaged insulation in our dumpster, gutters installed in the wrong color, windows delivered with no screens, and an electrical panel being installed without being labeled at all (how basic is that?). The existing front door was damaged by the workers and had to be repainted. They failed to paint it acceptably 3 times and we ended up so frustrated that we told them to refund us the amount of an independent painter's estimate and had him strip the paint and start over instead. The final cost of our project also came in incredibly higher than the original estimate. Far too many things that should have been done correctly the first time required repeated requests and follow-up, and some issues were never actually resolved. This was the most major investment we have ever made in our home. We expected a finished addition that reflected the price we paid. Instead, we have been requesting assistance on several warranty issues for the first 2 years of a 5 year warranty. We have limited confidence in the quality of the work. Yesterday we had scheduled for warranty repair on the stairs. I attempted to schedule a prep meeting with the contractor ahead of the repair this weekend, which required us to stay off the second and third floors of our home all weekend (where all bedrooms are). I contacted them no less than 5 times to schedule this meeting. Nobody responded with any information until the day prior to work beginning and were told that work would begin the next day. After all the planning and coordination for months, our family of five made arrangements to stay off the second floor for two days. All three kids packed their bags, set up cots and air mattresses, and gathered their toiletries and everything else they would need. My husband and I rearranged our workdays and set up in the kitchen to work so we could take our meetings without interfering with the workers. Our project manager arrived and did a beautiful job tarping off and protecting the house. Everything was ready to go. Then, after he left at 8:30am, the stairs guy simply walked out and never returned. That's right. He left without starting and never came back, and apparently no one knows where he is or if he plans to return. I have no idea if and how our stairs will be repaired and the whole family is exhausted. It is time to move back upstairs tonight with zero progress made and no contact from Munz Construction in over 24 hours, although we told them what happened on Friday afternoon. This situation wasn't fair to the adults, but it was most unfair to the young kids, who prepared for this "downstairs camping adventure" we'd sold them and were so organized and agreeable to the weekend-long inconvenience. I'm pretty certain at this point Munz Construction just doesn't care about our family. We would not recommend this company to anyone.

We ended up firing Jimmy after over a year of delays. He tries to talk his way out of everything…read moreand there was always an excuse. There was never any daily work getting done, weeks and sometimes months would go by before the next milestone was met. To summarize, if you want to pay everything up front, to be gaslit the whole time, have material delivered from Home Depot and go weeks without progress, have to call and text your contractor daily just to get something done, and the work that is completed is below subpar, then you know who to hire. If you're interested in our experience then please continue reading! We signed a contract Nov 2023 (JMDC) for a kitchen addition (we'd provide flooring, cabinets, finishings, etc.) with the intent of starting in the spring of 2024, had minor set back which was understandable and acknowledged and August 2024 was when work started (excavated and concrete footers poured) and we were told by end of October 2024 work would be completed. In October we signed a new contract with his new company name (Buxmont). No further work was done until the last week of October when cinderblocks were finally installed. Due to being told a finish date of October we ordered our cabinets and they sat in our house boxed up for over a year. By Nov 2024, $54,000 was paid with only cinder block to show for it. He asks for more and more money without any work to show for it, we now know that is a huge red flag and besides maybe a deposit, the work gets done then they get paid. In Dec, and then finished in January was subfloor, insulation and plywood. Mid January one wall framed. Jimmy discovered tie-in issue, demolished part of our bathroom (this could have been avoided and was yet again a delay and more money) he started bathroom tile demo Jan 16 2025. Bathroom tile didn't get finished until March. From Jan til March we had leaks in our existing kitchen and water damage, plus the work that did get done was exposed to the elements. Mid March wall framing finally continued and a tarp was placed over the subfloor. In April we hired an attorney and sent a formal letter outlining contract breaches, delays, and HICPA violations, requiring completion by June 15, 2025, which Jimmy agreed in writing. Work was done a total of 4 days in the month of April : plywood on walls and beginning of roof framing. Then more delays and the wrong windows and door were delivered. Roof didn't get shingled until June. Aug 19, 2025: Siding installed, which mismatched color and size despite contract stating it would match what existed. End of August the windows and door were installed and a deck was partially framed. We didn't see him or work done again until October, when the wall between addition and existing house was finally demoed; significant water damage and mold was found on our existing kitchen cabinets. The support beam that was installed, was not according to the permit and disrupted the kitchen layout, cutting into planned cabinet area. Beam and ceiling framing was unlevel. We had finally had enough and I was fortunate to have had a family friend help us out. We had the township inspector come out as a courtesy so we knew what had to be fixed and mostly everything needed to be redone. Jimmy didn't include the required crawl space, he didn't install the floor joists correctly, our dryer vent from the basement was not redirected outside and was instead feeding back into the kitchen, you could see daylight through the roof, the deck was improperly framed, the ceiling support beam had to be raised. We had to rip up the flooring that was now warped due to being exposed to the outside for months, and throw out all the insulation because it was wet and moldy. We had to pay what we already paid Jimmy to finish the job that he couldn't. Thankfully in two months (when we had a real contractor and reliable workers) the job was finally completed despite having to go backwards first in order to move forward.
