Let's start with the double Kburger look 5/5, cooked 5/5 texture 5/5 taste -1/5 for real over salty can't taste the Korean sauce flavor they talking about had to google it up and it said sweet and savory ain't nothing sweet about it just very salt I ask for extra sauce try it! Very salty and oily like just soy mix with mayonnaise very little flavor of the Korean fermented chili. I'm just like wtf is this shit, like McDonald's could have pull off a better one with off the shelves leftovers from last event promotion. Even the drink was okay. My best experience here was the fries it reminded me of high school fires we get for lunch and that's not saying much. Whenever I'm in the area, shake shack is a must. First time getting the double smoke burger. 10/10. Little bit of spice and the patties were perfect. It is probably the best burger on the menu. I will be getting it everytime I go ! The cheese bacon fries were very disappointing. The bacon was crisp so can't complain about it. The cheese wasn't melted. It came in clumps. Not very appealing. Its been a while since I ve visited this restaraunt. On the internet I saw the promo of korean bbq and I was excited. I was familiar with sweet and savoury unagi sauce, kimchi, samjang etc. from Korean cuisine. Non of that was in the chicken bites or burger - instead I got a tons of salt and tasteless food. Smoky BBQ Burger & Deep-Fried Pickles Review I've passed by Shake Shack more times than I can count, but I usually only stopped in when they were featuring a wild shake like Caramel Apple or one of their seasonal specials. Today I finally decided to see what their food was all about, and I'm glad I did. I ordered their Smoky Classic BBQ Burger, double patty, this thing is stacked. The burger's got a thick, juicy char on the beef, melty American cheese, crispy onions, smoky sweet BBQ sauce, and thick-cut pickles that play off the sweetness perfectly. The toasted potato bun pulls it all together. My only (very minor) complaint? The bacon could've used just a touch more crispiness. But honestly, it didn't take away from the overall bite. Still a top-tier burger. On the side, I grabbed the deep-fried pickles. Golden brown, perfectly seasoned, and fried just right. Not too hot, not too cold. These were honestly some of the best I've had in a while, especially dunked in the ranch. What really stood out today though was the service. Jose was awesome. Friendly, super knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to love being there. He helped me figure out what to order, gave me the rundown on the BBQ specials, and even brought the tray over to my table when the food was ready. Great guy, great vibe. AND if that wasn't enough when I said, thank you to him as I left, he called me by my first name, he remembered from earlier when he took my order.......amazing. The burgers are delicious very savory and filling. Their cheese fries were so good as well as their lemonades. The cherry peppers are very spicy not a typical type of spice because it's sweet. I needed lunch after my three-hour drive, so I drove around the area and stumbled across this Shake Shack Topanga location. I arrived after the lunch rush while the staff was cleaning up and there were several patrons sprinkled throughout the restaurant. There was no one staffing the front counter, so I went over to the self-serve kiosks to place my order. This is the first time I have eaten in a restaurant with zero human interaction. There was not so much as a hello when I walked in the door, and I did not hate it. I placed and paid for my order at the kiosk and took my number to a table to wait for my food. I was up washing my hands in the restroom when the food was delivered to the table. My order was a Double ShackBurger and French Fries. The burger was perfect, but the fries were a bit overcooked. This location is hard to find if you're not coming from the right direction so beware when you get off the 101 freeway. It's located across the topanga mall/AMC where we're going next for our movie. Small parking lot that's one way direction only. Disclaimer: I think Vegas shake shack is the best and always compare to that location. My go to burger is the Shack Stack which was 4.5/5. The mushroom wasn't as crispy as Vegas so a bit soggy. Harder to bite off bc of that but taste was still good. I added pickles so it added the crunch. I find it's always a struggle to find healthy options when I'm at a mall. Luckily, Westfiled Topanga Mall does have a few restaurants to choose from. With that said, I was very curious to see how Shake Shack's 'Shroom Burger rose to the healthy and tasty challenge. The 'Shroom Burger is a fried portobello mushroom, filled with muenster and cheddar cheese, and topped with lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce. The mushroom had a good crunch, and very flavorful, the texture was not slimy, and the flavor was enhanced by the smokiness of the two kinds of cheese. The portobello was hot, and melty cheese flavorful. The batter was perfectly seasoned and crispy. It's fried rather than grilled or baked, loaded with gooey cheese in every bit. I think it may have more cheese than a regular cheeseburger! This may not be the healthiest sandwich at 550 Cals, but it does taste good, and it's the only vegetarian option on the menu. I also ordered French fries, with a side of cheese and a cookie and cream milkshake as dessert, both were nothing to write home to mom about. I had never been to a Shake Shack location prior to this visit at the Topanga Mall, and I have to say I found it underwhelming. We did come during a peak, as there was a line, so we opted to use the self-ordering system they have adjacent to where the cashiers take orders. For fast food it wasn't all that fast - it was about a 10 -15 minute wait after we finished ordering. And while I enjoyed my order of the chicken bites, and fries, my boyfriend's cheeseburger didn't taste all that different from McDonald's. You can double up on the patty for more money. The restaurant is clean and spacious. Welcoming with a few flat screen TVs inside. You can order with a person or on a kiosk inside. The decor is simplistic but nice! There fries crinkle and with the right amount salt they are good. I also enjoy their bacon cheddar fries. I recommend trying at least once!
