We cannot say enough good things about our experience with The Shake Guys. First, they came highly recommended by a neighbor, and after their first visit to our home, we knew this time around we would see results. Our home had obvious hail damage as well as a terrible patch job on the front of our home, however, we saw no action with two other attempts at a claim with our insurance company...enter The Shake Guys. Chad was able to communicate and use his obvious experience in navigating insurance claims to garner us an entirely new roof, copper awnings & flashings, and total gutter replacement. Only The Shake Guys were able to prove that we needed a completely new roof due to the fact that neither our roof shingles or the patch shingles were any longer in production, therefore they were able to prove we had no other route than brand new shingles. Once we teamed with The Shake Guys, they helped guide us through the entire process. You will not be disappointed by any aspect of working with them - the entire team is professional, accommodating, friendly, and most importantly, efficient. Further, Chad and our project manager Drew, were incredibly patient and helpful with our color selections, which is something you will not find everywhere. Our only wish is that we had found The Shake Guys sooner! We wasted so much time with other roofing companies who didn't know how to work with insurance claims. Now we feel like we have a new home! The Shake Guys are topnotch - do not hesitate to contact them for your roof, their specialty seems to be difficult projects that other companies can't get to the finish line. read more

My investment property in Barrington needed a new cedar roof thanks to Mother Nature. I decided to look for a cedar specialist and found several. Each gave me a totally different take and estimate. What set The Shake Guys apart was their report. THey shared photos with me of the damage. Since I live out of state this was a huge help. They also let me know that a storm a year prior was likely to blame and that an insurance claim should be filed. I agreed to let them help me there but didn't promise them the work yet. Long story short - they secured the dollars, had the most thorough estimate, and even with a tie for the higher price point I knew they were the way to go. I didn't get to see the new roof until 2 months after they installed it but a rep came out and walked the property with me pointing out what were essentially upgrades. I may not have known what he was talking about but it looked and sounded legit. Oh... After seeing my roof replacement, a neighbor had their roof done by The Shake Guys too and it looks amazing. Both of us had a few expected nails left behind and it seemed like too long a wait for the warranty info but it was all worth it. I give these guys (no pun intended) a solid A and my thanks. read more

Shake Guys is a great company to do business with! They are prompt and timely with their service when it comes to scheduling. As far as workmanship they just cannot be beat and I would recommend them over any other Cedar Shake roofing company or Shake restoration in the Metro area. We have used several in the past. One of the things that sold me on the Shake Guys that others did not do, is that they would do minor repairs before restoration. They did such a great job and were quick and efficient. Also, the outside of our home is cleaner now than it was before they came! This was our first time using the Shake Guys after many have recommended them.Their employees were polite, well dressed and used safety harnesses! Their trucks and equipment were in excellent condition which gave me confidence. We would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have their roof replaced or preserved. Our cedar roof has not looked better! read more

If only all service providers were as professional, reliable and service-oriented as Shake Guys. We spoke with three other companies before we met with Chad, so we went into our appointment with him with a good understanding of what other roofing companies have to offer. Once we spoke with him, the decision was easy. Chad is very knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, made himself available throughout the process of replacing our roof and worked directly with our insurance company to make sure they took care of the bulk of the cost. That alone was no easy feat. The crew that came out did an excellent job and the foreman kept us updated on the progress. Well after the work was completed, we needed a couple of things adjusted, and a crew came out right away and addressed our concerns. I highly recommend Shake Guys; it's very difficult to find this level of integrity and service with any service provider. read more

We had The Shake Guys replace our cedar shake roof in September of 2016. These guys are incredible to work with. They completed tearing the roof off and replacing it in three days. They used the highest quality shingles, the workmanship is excellent. They call you back immediately if you have a question, and are more that willing to return to the house if you have any concerns. The owner of The Shake Guys is polite, considerate and genuine. Some of our neighbors are now having their roofs replaced, and they have all commented "we wish we would have used your Guys". We feel confident The Shake Guys are not just selling you a roof, they continue to inspect it long after the installation. The crew that installs the roof are considerate of the family going in and out of the house. They would stop and answer any questions. Clean, neat, experts. If you have to get a roof, The Shake Guys are the best. read more

Chad Janisch and his team did an outstanding job replacing our shake roof, copper valleys and flashings and gutters. The roof was especially challenging due to steep pitches and intersecting valleys. From the initial consultation, communication with the insurance carrier, quote, installation and follow up the service was great. When the boss personally reviews the work after the job is done, including climbing on the roof and directly checking every aspect you know you're in good hands. Quote was clear, thorough and no last minute revisions or surprises. Crew cleaned up every day and literally combed the grass picking up any debris when finished. replacing a roof is something no one looks forward to; The Shake Guys made the entire process easy, efficient, competitively priced and easy. They're busy because they're very good at what they do; that says it all. read more

We couldn't be happier with our brand new synthetic roof (Brava) and gutter system from Shake Guys. And the service we received was even more impressive. Our Project Manager Diego Sermeno and his team were absolutely fabulous. They battled the endless rain to get to our job, worked long hours to get the job done, did excellent work, and were immediately responsive to every request we made for adjustments or accommodations. Then Jesus and team came in behind and did excellent work installing the gutters and downspouts. They even accommodated me with a brief time out so I could find a carpenter to repair some rotted wood they found on the facia boards. We receive excellent service and a beautiful end product that makes our home look great and the pricing was extremely competitive. I highly recommend Shake Guys and we are very thankful for Diego Sermeno and his team! read more

We called Shake Guys to do some repair only to find out that a hail storm had damaged the roof and our windows. Long story short, Chad T. took care of everything A-Z and did it in an amazing manner including dealing with our insurance adjuster. A claim is a long process and Chad made sure it went smoothly, worked as a general contractor for all the trades needed for our job. We never had to make a second call about getting things done, he was responsive immediately to anything we sent to him. We can't say enough good about how our roof, windows and gutters, etc., were replaced in a speedy, clean manner. The crews were respectful, friendly, hard-working!! and cleaned the site each night. Having a roof replaced and all windows replaced could not have gone any easier. HIGHLY recommend Shake Guys and Chad as the contact. read more

Update: Got a call from Chad the owner - very pleasant discussion. Look forward to meeting him as he reviews our project. He was very proactive and is coming out tomorrow to give me some ideas for my roof. Prior review: Last fall I had a good discussion with one of the representatives who came and gave me an estimate for repairs for my cedar roof. I asked about a full replacement as well, for which I was promised an estimate. Since then I have had an impossible time getting a hold of the rep. Several calls to his cell (on his business card) and through the officehave not been returned. I should have got the hint - but I am surprised by the ratings and that no one else has had this happen. I would think given where the economy is headed in May 2020 and a warm lead, this firm would be interested - my bad. read more

I called The Shake Guys because I found some cedar shakes on the ground from the roof of the former White House Inn following a storm that occurred several weeks ago. I was totally impressed with Chad and all the members of the crew that came to do the repair. Their promise of calling back within 24 hours of my leaving my initial message actually happened! Chad came out the next day to review the storm damage. I was impressed by his attitude and work ethic about such a small job. The roof was repaired within 48 hours of my making the call! I would HIGHLY recommend Chad and The Shake Guys for any job - large or small. DEFINITELY A FIVE STAR COMPANY! A JOB WELL DONE!! read more

We just had our cedar shake roof repaired by Shake Guys. Chad and his team are fantastic to work with. Chad carefully explained all the work that was needed and even provided pictures of the problem areas after he inspected our roof. He followed up quickly with a very reasonable estimate and got the repairs done within a week. Chad then provided pictures showing all the completed work done. I wish everyone we dealt with was as professional as Shake Guys. We have already agreed to a preservation treatment in the Spring and I wouldn't consider using anyone else. These guys are best in class and if you need any work done on your roof, you should use Shake Guys. read more

Chad from The Shake Guys arrived, as scheduled today, to look at our roof. We were experiencing a leak in the ceiling of the dining area of our main floor. He looked both inside our house and on our roof to analyze where he thought we were experiencing the leak. He took various photos to show me where he saw what he thought was the problem. He even went into our attic to trace the leak. He could have exaggerated the nature of the problem but instead he was honest and pragmatic in his recommendation. I was quite impressed with his integrity and candidness. I also thought he was very thorough and knowledgeable and if we need any other work I would call him again. read more

I am thoroughly pleased with all my results after calling Shake Guys to come out and inspect my roof for potential hail damage. Chad T took pictures of the damaged shingles as well as the windows on all (4) elevations of my (2) story home. He then met with my insurance adjuster and presented an extremely detailed report of his findings as well as recommendations which ultimately resulted in my getting a complete new roof as well as all new window replacements. His crew was neat, punctual, and accommodating to my schedule. His subcontractor for windows (Olson) which Chad managed under his General Contractor umbrella was also outstanding. read more

So pleased with the work done by Shake Guys .This company understands customer service. Staff is professional, personable, and incredibly helpful from the young lady who answers the phone on up. No question was left unanswered. Chris was the only estimator who noticed that my roof had hail damage. He diligently pursued my claim with the insurer resulting in a savings of $30K! The experienced crew worked long hours and cleaned up every evening. The job superintendent, Alfonso, returned calls within minutes. The owner himself visited at least twice.
