I have had my Expedition in for service to troubleshoot an airbag code and the vehicle not starting twice now. The first time involved a recall issue for the seatbelts, so there was no charge for the service. Nothing was found in regards to my other concerns, because I was told they would need to look at them later even though all of my concerns were listed when the appointment was scheduled. Took it back in for the second time today to have the recall work finished and for them to run diagnostics on the code. After charging us for the diagnostic service, which only showed an old code, we were told that is all they could do for us. And, to bring it back in when it happened again...?!? Really, I am to drive around with a possible faulty airbag??? HORRIBLE customer service. This place is only looking for your money, as we were told that they would have to run diagnostics again when it happened and that we would have to pay for the fee again?! How about charge me once until you figure out the issue?! Supposedly, it is safe to drive, assuming it starts. I won't return to this dealership. Instead, I will drive to Keyser and support WV economy. read more

Hard to believe the mess this shop has created for me. They lied to me about work they completed, so I didn't switch shops. When in reality they never even started working on my explorer. So now that I've exhausted all of my rental coverage I am paying out of my pocket. Point is Shaffer Ford lied to my Geico adjuster and also lied to me. Never again never again....be warned people. P.S. when I asked if they would cover a rental because of this situation they created, they laughed at me! read more

Had an unscheduled service stop at this dealer as my truck was smoking oil. Not only did they squeeze me into their busy schedules they got me back on the road quickly. Great wifi and comfortable waiting area. Ownership personally introduced himself and was very friendly. Service counter staff were are friendly and helpful. If I didn't live 2 hours away I would do all my service there. read more

We had to stop here while traveling with our fifth wheel, as the Rotors were making some terrible vibrations and we could barely stop. They had us unhook the camper and provided power for us, until the issue could be resolved. Parts ordered and hopefully an early departure in the morning. Eric certainly has given us great service! I was astounded by the behavior of the Ford service manager. He was aggressive confrontational, and arguementative. I can't believe this person still has a job!!! They made some recommendations for my vehicle and when I asked a few questions my service advisor shut down and pushed me off on to the service 'manager'. When the 'manager' came over he was immediately defensive, combative, and aggressive. I had never been treated like this before. I later found out the fixes they recommended were phony, as I suspected. RUN RUN RUN!!!!! read more

While visiting from California, I took my som's truck in to have the parking brake and a/C fixed. They adjusted the brake and topped off the freon when they could have easily gone the extreme and replaced the brake shoes (not needed yet) and done something more with the AC. They added dye so that a leak could be detected it the AC failed in the near future. Then they shuttled me home to Cumberland then promptly picked me up the following day when the truck was ready. I decided to have it detailed while there too. I'm very impressed and happy with how nice everyone was. I'd definitely go back. read more

Must be something terrribly wrong in the service dept. My vehicle was held hostage unitl I paid the bill of a third party towing company. The bill for Ford was only $42, a reasonable amonunt. What business was it of theirs if I hadn't paid the towing company yet. Winter's Towing on Spruce Spring Road charged me $160 dollars to tow my car 21 miles to Shaffer Ford. Ford said they would call the police if I left the premises even if I paid the Ford bill. After my vehicle being held hostage for about an hour and in the process of paying the towing bill of the third party, I lost it and told a Ford employee to F@#$ themself. I would have left 10 minutes after my arrival, after paying had they not insisted I pay the overcharging tow company. To further humiliate me, they called the police to arrest me for disorderly conduct, with the police on the phone they insisted that I apologize to the employee so the police would not come and arrest me. What about me, keep my vehicle hostage for about an hour, insisting I pay a bill to a third party. I take my apology back, and wish I had said it to a few of the hovering swarm of intimidating men surrounding me. This was just my personal experience, hope it's not yours. read more
