The vibe of this place is so cool! The outdoor space has comfy chairs and fire pits and they even have live music! It definitely puts you in the mood to enjoy probably the best meal you will have all day. We started with a simple Caesar salad and some chicken lollipops - which were full of meat and even though they were covered in a delicious bbq sauce they were somehow still so crunchy! For dinner I had the butternut squash pasta which came with a mushroom medley in the best sauce I have ever tasted! I would eat anything made in that sauce. And lucky for my husband or else I would've eaten his, which was so tender and rich. Truly the chef here is amazing! And if that wasn't enough, they had a menu for dogs! There is nothing cuter! We are staying at the resort so naturally we dined in for lunch and dinner the night we got in. For lunch 2 sandwiches and a beer for about $80. Our server and bartender were arguing the whole time and we waited awkwardly for a while just to get seated. When we came back for dinner we had a reservation for 730. The manager finally greeted us at the host stand and informed us our table was not ready and parked us at the bar. The bartender was covering the whole Bartop and had thin patience and practically zero customer service. We were seated at a nice fireplace seat with front row music but the service was pretty awful. Sat for a while without drinks and when our appetizer came out, chips queso and guac. It was so bad. There were about 6 chips and the queso had a thick skin on top and the "guac" was just bland avocado. The mains were not great overall the food was so mid and our bill, for 2 drinks an app and 2 mediocre entrees... $300 Please do better. Just because you are in the resort does not mean you need to charge out the ass for mid food and poor / unprofessional service. For dinner there are tons of places in town and around the corner that are worth your time and money. Breakfast was average at ShadowRock. We stayed at the resort and visited for breakfast the next morning. We waited for a good while for a table; I think there were plenty of tables but not enough servers. Looking for a healthier option, I got the avocado toast and it was pretty good. The veggies were fresh. My husband got the Sedona breakfast with no meat. There were standard processed juices on the menu so we opted for water. Breakfast for two was $56, but we did have the Hilton Honors resort credit of $18/day/person. It would be great if the resort credit covered all of breakfast. Couple of irritating things cost this place a couple stars on my review. First, there's massive amount of road construction around the resort. Hard to tell where exactly the restaurant was, and the valet was less than helpful. Second, we had request the "igloo dining experience". Basically dining out in a little lighted "igloo" on the lawn. When we got there, were told it was too hot to seat people in there, so we were given seating at a fire pit. There was no room around the fire pit for your knees, so we had to eat sitting sideways. And others were being seated in the igloos, so not sure what that was all about. The food and service were 4-star. Prickly Pear Margarita and Maple Manhattan were good craft cocktails, although not on the happy hour menu, so expensive. Ordered a glass of Pinot Noir off wine list for my dinner. Server came back and said "we haven't had that wine for a while", begging the question why wasn't the wine list updated. No alternative was recommended. The appetizers were good, avocado queso and chicken lollipop wings. For our entrees, I started with the butternut squash bisque and then the braised short rib. My dining partner had the roast chicken. For dessert, we shared the churros. Pleasant evening with good/not great food, decent atmosphere (some live music going on), good service. This is the restaurant at the Hilton Resort at Bell Rock and it's fine. It's a little pricey for what you get, but that's typical for hotel restaurants. Service was friendly but a little slow. My smoked old fashioned cocktail was good. They had some chicken wings (I think they were called lollipops) that were really tasty but the rest of the food- a salad and shrimp cocktail- were just okay and should have been a notch better at that price point. It's a convenient place if you're staying at the resort. It was cold and rainy when we ate there so we didn't sit outside but they do have a cool outside seating area. Stopped at ShadowRock for lunch. Jackie was our server and was kind and professional. Tiffany also stopped by and was very nice as well. The ambiance was peaceful and the three big screens were also quite nice. I had a Prickly Pear Margarita and my wife chose water. We both ordered the tomato bisque soup and half sandwich, one with fries and the other a salad. My wife talked with Jackie about the soup as she could not eat it as it did taste like a jar of marinara sauce and wasn't a true bisque. Not good. I choked mine down as I was hungry. My wife sent her soup back and Jackie was gracious and removed her meal from the check. The half a sandwich was more like 1/3 and not anything to write home about either. I am giving three stars simply due to the kind and efficient service but the food was below average. The drink was ok and I would suggest that management take a look at the quality of food coming out of the kitchen at such a nice Hilton resort. Jackie and Tiffany both apologized and in no way is the quality of food coming out of the kitchen their fault if it is below customer's expectations. Our family has stayed at the Hilton and we love this restaurant. The service is grade A with seating inside and outside with beautiful views. The food is tasty and lots of good drinks to choose from. This restaurant is very dog friendly and they even have a menu just for dogs as well as drinks for your fur baby, our fur baby loved everything on the menu ( we stayed at the hotel a few days and Jack had everything on the menu) . We ate here at Tap and Table for 3 nights while we stayed at the resort. Know that Tap & Table is very expensive. The food may be expensive but it's very good! They do have Happy Hour specials and a Special Bar menu for food during Happy Hour. We had two bartenders, Sal and Noe during our stay. Both were excellent. We had the Sedona Burger, Turkey Melt, Chefs Burger, Mushroom Risotto, and Wedge Salad while there. The desserts we had were the Chocolate Mousse cake, and Turtle Cheesecake. Delicious! We ordered the Queso and the Tuna Tartare. The service was slow and the food was not worth $20 for each appetizer. We basically got a small cup of cheese with an avocado and some blue corn chips - nothing more. It was like I opened my own fridge. The tartare was fishy. We ate here a few times during our stay at the Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock. I agree with others' reviews that it is hit or miss. The breakfast during the week is menu based, and you can choose from options like avocado toast, oatmeal, waffles, and dirty potatoes. During the weekend it is buffet style with a few separate items that can be ordered. We tried the avocado toast, sedona breakfast bowl, and the dirty potatoes. All were enjoyed and my favorite was the pork carnitas with the crispy potatoes covered in queso Blanco. The salsa Verde was a bit too spicy for me. We also ate some apps for dinner. The ahi poke was delicious but again it was surrounded by the spicy salsa Verde. I guess when you come to the southwest, you should expect a little heat. We also tried the cheezy tomato bisque which comes with a basic grilled cheese. The soup was alright and there was nothing special about the grilled cheese. We just went to their Thanksgiving buffet yesterday. We had a 2 pm reservation. Excellent buffet with many appetizer and entree choices. The food tasted very good. Well laid out food tables with 3 separate hot meat Serving Stations (prime rib, turkey, ham). Everything was well spaced, no crowding, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The wine prices are ridiculous though so I dropped the rating 1 star. We ordered a bottle of Proverb Chardonnay for $50 (I searched later and it is $8 at Total wine. A markup of over 500 percent is crazy. All of the wines on the list were silmilarly marked up with prices of $50 and higher. Even higher markups than on cruise ships! The beer prices were much more reasonable ($10 for a pint glass of tap beer) The servers were very good and prompt. All in all we did have a very nice time at Shadowrock. read more

This is the most character devoid restaurant in all of Sedona. Completely soulless and corporate. The service was fine, but the food was reminiscent of a Chili's, yet asking fine-dining prices. The only reason this place can clearly stay in business is the inelasticity they enjoy from hotel guests looking for a convenient, on property, meal. As one who usually one writes good reviews, I have to share what was an underwhelming experience. We ordered the chips, queso and guacamole appetizer, which is already $18. It was delivered with small servings of each and upon delivery. The server said if you would like additional chips that will be three dollars. We stayed at another Hilton for the weekend but decided to stop in and check this location out for future and grabbed a drink at the Tap+Table. We sat at the bar for a drink and the bartender, Kaidynce from Pennsylvania (Actually her name was a little different and unique but this was on the receipt) was so sweet and attentive! We had a good conversation and after she learned it was my BF's birthday she grabbed us a cup of Caramel corn to enjoy. It was delish. We got a second drink and decided to move outside, the weather was perfect for a fall day. The view of the golf course was in the background and they had a nice large fire pit with chairs and tables outside. They also had tents set up to eat a meal outside but stay nice and cozy and warm. It was decorated for Christmas and looked so festive. We sat out in the sun before moving on with the day. We look forward to a future visit as Hilton Gold Honor Members. read more

The ambiance was nice and inviting, which made us hopeful for a great experience but unfortunately, the food and service didn't live up to it. When we first arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty, yet the hostess kept going back and forth to seat us after a 15-minute wait. That set the tone for the rest of the experience. We decided to give it another try for dinner, and the meal ended up costing around $200 for four people. We're more than willing to pay that if the food and service justify it--but in this case, they didn't. The service was extremely slow, with long waits and very little attention to detail. We often felt overlooked and had to wait far too long for basic things. While the location was convenient since we were staying at the Hilton, the overall experience was disappointing enough that we chose to skip the restaurant for the rest of our stay in Sedona. We've been coming to Sedona and dining at Shadow Rock Tap & Table for years now--three Christmas trips and once for spring break with friends--and it has always felt truly magical. Because of that history, I wanted to share some feedback that I hope is helpful rather than harsh. This was the first year we were charged a $75 fee to reserve an igloo. I completely understand that costs go up and that premium experiences sometimes carry a fee. However, in the past there was no charge, and I was disappointed to learn that this year's fee did not apply toward our food and beverage minimum. Had that $75 been credited toward our bill, it would have felt much more reasonable and in line with the elevated experience Shadow Rock is known for. In addition, an automatic gratuity was added. I don't inherently mind an auto‐gratuity, especially for specialty experiences, but this time the level of service didn't quite match what we've experienced before. We felt rushed, and the staff interactions felt more stoic than warm--as if we might have been an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. A bit more friendliness and pacing would have gone a long way in justifying both the gratuity and the premium setting. We were also surprised to find the hotel under construction, as this wasn't mentioned when we booked. While we appreciated the golf package and the deal on the room, it became clear once we arrived why that rate was offered. A little more transparency on the front end about construction would help set expectations properly. I actually told the manager earlier that we wouldn't be making the trip this year because of the changes, but old traditions are hard to let go of--we truly have loved our past experiences here and have recommended Shadow Rock to many friends. My hope is that this feedback is received in that spirit: we want to see this place thrive and continue to feel as special and magical as it has in years past. read more

We had a few meals at the Hilton Bell Rock Restaurant (aka Shadow Rock Taproom) during our week long stay. All in all...good service and pretty decent food. Some choices though, are hit and miss. They had some excellent soups, really good sea bass and a few other good apps. The wedge salad was awful and I was extremely disappointed by a couple portions given the $30+ entree costs. But that's how it goes I guess. For two days the coffee shop part of the restaurant had the espresso machine go down. The "barista" also had no idea how to fill a cup with coffee. Half a cup is not a cup of coffee. Hostesses and servers were super nice though. The whole property is dog friendly and the fire pits and s'mores are a great little treat too. Prices- over priced for the quality of food delivered. Food- missed the mark on every item ordered, Short ribs, dry. Chicken, dry. Muscles, only served 8 for $25. Truffle corn risotto ended up being a dish of wet rice with what appeared to be canned corn. So disappointing Service- our server was friendly, but for over $100 per person, I shouldn't have to ask to have my water refilled. Ambiance- no fault of the restaurant but who it attracts: a guy who literally took his shoes off at the table next to us to put his shoe less feet on the table. there was a wide variety of families and such but just general chaos with staff being few and far between to spot. The salmon tasted fresher than I've had in some sushi restaurants. The flavor combos on the Dirty Potatoes were mouth-wateringly incredible; who can go wrong with carnitas, chile verde, and eggs over perfectly crisped home fries? Took a day trip to Sedona and was looking to find a chill and relaxing spot for some happy hour drinks. We all started off with the prickly pear margarita. My wife tried the happy hour version, while my mother in law and I tried the regular priced option. I have to say that both were very tasty, but I did like the original hand crafted option instead. The happy hour prickly pear margarita was a bit overly sweet for my liking. The pear candy on top was a nice addition, yummy flavor overall and goes down easy. I also tried the mango margarita on the happy hour list and that was really good. Not overly sweet, very smooth and flavorful, but definitely not as strong as their regular drink options. We had the loaded potato wedges to share amongst us three and it was plenty for an appetizer. The short rib was delicious and the mix of flavors/seasonings paired perfectly in this dish. The potatoes were nice and crispy, just how I like them. Thankfully our waiter brought us over to the larger fire pit, it was a chilly night and the smaller fire pits weren't doing the trick. I love that they have quite a few of them around for their guests. **Only downside was the waiter messed up at one point and brought us the wrong drink. The drink was $14.50. Instead of taking it off the bill, he took off a $5 happy hour drink and still charged us the regular price for a drink we didn't ask for. Now for the actual restaurant in the resort. Very overpriced and really not good. Service from our waiter was good but wow the food was not great. Got the kale salad and it was super oily in the middle of the salad?? Wish it would have come with almonds or nuts. If you decide to opt out of the meat for the salad, it's just a bunch of kale, cheese, and raisins. No protein. And for the price that you're paying for a salad... I would appreciate some almonds. Boyfriend got the potato wedges and said the pork was disgusting. Ate as much as he could before giving up because it was not good. This review is for breakfast at the ShadowRock Restaurant. I will begin by saying I am a loyal Hilton member. So loyal I hit Diamond status (again) in early August of this year. I generally love the breakfasts that Diamond Hilton Members receive as part of their perks and I so look forward to it on every business or personal trip I take. I must say I was very disappointed by the spread at the Shadow Rock restaurant at the Hilton Sedona Resort. The included "continental breakfast buffet" featured pop tarts, a very small selection of breads and pastry, and deli meats. We weren't given the option to order off menu rather than do the continental breakfast buffet, but we were told we could order omelets for a $6 upcharge. Neither my husband nor I cared for the buffet options and opted for to do the upcharge for the omelet. The omelets were delicious with lots of veggies and nice thin pieces of sausage so that you would get a nice salty bite of meat in almost every mouthful. That said I don't think I would opt to eat breakfast here again. I do want to point out that the serving staff were excellent, prompt, and so kind which I appreciate when traveling so kudos to them. read more

Hit or miss. We were visiting Sedona and stayed at the Hilton Sedona at Bed Rock for 4 nights. First evening we ordered a couple drinks. Husband order Laphroaig10 and it took the waiter forEVER to deliver. He was a very nice guy but the amount of time we had to wait for the drinks was wild given it wasn't very busy. Ultimately, the waiter delivered something different. Husband noticed it wasn't the Laphroaig and waiter checked in with bar and confirmed they had poured the wrong whiskey. In the mornings we'd get their Starbucks coffee offering and even though I'm a Pete's girl - the Almond milk lattes were good. The girl in the evening was awesome. Super friendly and she helped us with beer orders to take up to our room along with giving us a couple plates, glasses and even opened up a bottle of wine for us since our room at the hotel didn't provide any. read more

Once a year go one place you've never been to before... And if you've never been to Sedona make it there! It was late and we wanted to eat...so that's nothing new. Everyone knows places close early in small towns so you better eat while you can. After driving around town I looked at the menu online and decided we would eat here since we were staying at the hotel. The problem was when we sat down the menu online wasn't the same in the restaurant. This was a problem because I'm a picky eater! I was so glad when our waitress brought me out a bar menu with other choices. Problem solved! I really appreciated the extra effort. I don't remember exactly what we ordered because I posted the pictures already on the Yelp for the Hilton hotel but it was good enough to not complain. ( there is just a few pics of the food) The service was great and the views were beautiful. (To be honest, Sedona is filled with beautiful views wherever you go).They have fire pits outside and on a lovely night, it would be great to sit on the patio. That night the weather wasn't cooperating since it was cold and raining. Shadowrock has huge TVs and fun games in front area of the restaurant. Yes, it's a bar too, so it's a good place to get wasted since you just need to be able to walk up to your room. If you're staying at the hotel your walk won't be far. If it is, you drank too much.
