Recently my back window started to show age and a few bubbles along the heat strips and called the shop to address the situation. I was told that everything was covered under warranty and scheduled an appointment for later that week. Upon arrival, Rigo did a walk through of my car with me addressing all areas of concern that I had and took the car in for repairs. I was told that it would be completed in about 4 hours so I left to get a few things done. About 3 hours later I got a call stating that everything was good to go. This is where it gets interesting and where I totally recommend these guys!!! As most car owners know, you value your investment and know it's every inch. The morning of the retint, I washed all the windows, highlighted all areas of concern I had and pointed them out to the manager. Upon picking up the vehicle, I noticed an inch long slice in the front passenger tint. How could I have not seen that before? Idk! I thought that it was from their team and done during the installation as I was having a front windshield banner installed that day as well. As I addressed it with Rigo (and not in the greatest of ways as I was heated), he pulled up the cameras and patiently allowed me to review them. From what I saw after nearly 30 minutes of not blinking to ensure nothing was missed, it was undetermined if in fact his team did the damage or not. I felt bad at this point. Prior to leaving the facility and talking to Rigo, he would not let me leave or pay until he could address the situation and make it right. Regardless of not being able to take ownership of the issue, he stepped up and did. He owned it and demanded that he be allowed to fix it free of charge. I was not only ashamed but amazed at his cool demeanor and willingness to step in. I left the car that afternoon and allowed them to take care of the additional window. The next morning I swung by to grab the car and pay the bill. Not only was my car parked inside overnight but looked to be washed as well. I recently bought a used 2023 Honda Pilot that had highly illegal levels of tint that made it dangerous to see when driving at night. So I went with the removal of tint for every single window on the car, and they said that it would take 2-3 hours, but literally only took 1 hour. Regarding my tints, Umbre isn't the cheapest but they aren't the most expensive either. They do great work. I only did the front windows, as the other windows are factory-tinted. They told me it's cost $250 for the mid-grade service. They only charge for the quality of the tint, not the level of tint. They offer a lifetime warranty on all services. And they under-promised and over-delivered, as I got out 40 minutes sooner than expected. I highly recommend this business.

Arrived to their South Elgin location (attached to Key West Car Wash and detailing) and Custom Driven flaked. No show or no text, and I even waited a half hour just in case. The joint detailing company sharing the building space even tried to contact Eugene and Custom Driven for me and were super helpful. They couldn't get a hold of anyone either. The whole interaction/process came off as supeeer unprofessional, and makes me question whether I'd trust them to apply tints. I brought my brand new car (which had under 500 miles on it) in for PPF and tint, expecting professional, high-quality work. What I got instead was careless workmanship, reckless handling of my vehicle, and shockingly unprofessional behavior. First, the biggest red flag: while my car was in their possession, I received app alerts showing it was being driven over 80 mph with hard braking. This was not a short test drive this was my vehicle being driven aggressively between their South Elgin and Elk Grove locations. There is absolutely no excuse for treating a customer's brand new car like that. As for the work itself, the quality was unacceptable: * PPF was supposed to be wrapped under edges -- it wasn't * Film was misaligned and poorly installed * Dirt and debris trapped under the film * Visible bubbles throughout * Noticeable lines in the film * Tail light tint already peeling * Tint not properly tucked around the tail lights This is basic-level installation failure across the board. To make matters worse, when we returned to address these issues with a representative from the dealership I purchsed my car through present (they recommend this company) it became clear the business is under new ownership. The new owner, who appears inexperienced, responded to legitimate concerns with anger and aggression instead of accountability. The interaction was completely unprofessional and only made the situation worse. The dealership representative who accompanied me was so disturbed by both the quality of work and the owner's behavior that they have decided to pull all of their business from this company.
