This restaurant/winery has great ambiance with great views. It's quiet, very romantic. We were a big grout of 9, had great time. Wine quality was great. I ordered sweet wines (frog hair, bobcat Niagara), we ordered some appetizers for sharing charcuteries, truffle Parmesan, for food I ordered grilled salmon. Everything was great

I have been living in Athens for the past 4 years and this is my first time coming here. The menu had salad, appetizers, burgers and entrees. There were options for people who were vegetarian and vegan. The wine was very good. They have white, red and sweet. We tried a flight of the frog hair. It was very good and tropical. They have flights of 6 wines for $15.00 While the food, atmosphere and wine was great, my entire party left with 7+ bug bites. If you are to come here I would recommend using bug spray before you arrive. I ordered the sweet potato quinoa burger. This was very filling. If I was to come back again I would get this. We also had the large house salad. Both came in large portions.

This place is a real gem in the middle of no where! It is a beautiful place and you can sit inside, on the deck, or the patio. You have two different waiters. One is for drinks and the other is for food. The service was absolutely fantastic. The servers were so attentive, helpful, and sweet. We got a flight of wine. 3 sweet and three not so sweet. My personal favorite was the Riesling - off dry and the Ridge Red Chambourcin. My boyfriend liked the Merlot and Ridge Red Chambourcin the best. Next, they give complimentary bread. It is so delicious with the olive oil mix that is provided. I had the roast beef sandwich which came with a side of salt and pepper kettle chips. I really liked the vegetable medley on the sandwich. My boyfriend had the chicken. He said it was his favorite entry there. (He has tried the burger and steak - both which he said were good). This place has an awesome anesthetic, service, wine, and food. It is slightly pricey but not bad and pretty typical for a winery. The bottles range from $14-25.

Beautiful romantic place. My husband and I visited back around Christmas. It was too cold to sit outside. The inside was so cozy. The food and service was great. We are looking forward to visiting when the weather gets warmer to sit out on their patio. The views are breathtaking!

I'll never be mistaken for a wine connoisseur and those who are will surely turn up their noses, but we found the bottle of Cab Sauv Reserve up to the moment. We went with "one each" of the three specials on a early spring Friday night: Shrimp Cakes, Caprese Salad, and Roasted Brussels Sprouts. The shrimp cakes were sneaky good with the small things making the difference - the lettuce and spring onions they lay upon were fresh and crisp, the spicy aioli was smooth and not overpowering. The caprese worked for the time of year. Too early for truly great tomatoes but the ample basil drizzle and good fresh mozzarella can take you a long way. And wow what a generous portion of brussels sprouts and not burned or crispy as these often become. The walnuts definitely worked with the sweet bacon, something my dining companion said would not always be the case for her. And while one can assume prices are lower here in rural southeastern Ohio, they truly were at $14, $9, and $12 respectively. The upper deck had diners taking in the view, but it was by no means crowded. The lower areas, some covered, some uncovered had plenty of folks too. Those areas are good for parties (we did a big birthday for my mother there) and for cooler temps in the summer when the high deck attached to the kitchen and indoor dining area gets pretty toasty even with the umbrellas and sun shades.

From the patio, you can sip wine while watching the sun clock out for the day in spectacular fashion--trees below, golden sky above, and you in the middle wondering why you don't live here. The wines range from dry to semi-sweet, so whether you like your vino crisp and serious or a little flirty and fun, you'll find a favorite. The staff know their stuff but never make you feel like you need a sommelier certificate to hang with them. We ordered a charcuterie board that was basically a work of art--cheeses, meats, and fruit all perfectly Instagrammable. The pizza looked so good that we almost committed to a second dinner. Everything about this place says, "Stay awhile." It's cozy, relaxed, and just fancy enough to make you feel sophisticated without needing to remember which fork to use. Between the friendly vibes, delicious food, and sunset views straight out of a postcard, this winery delivers the perfect mix of class and comfort--with just enough wine to make you think you've discovered paradise.

We got there a little after 1:00 pm and they were super busy. The inside was small but there were plenty of seating outside. We didn't mind going out there despite the 30 degree weather. The view of the farm and vineyard was gorgeous to look at even with the snow. Before we went in, we greeted the sheep's in the front entrance. You can't miss the small barn. We stood in line and while we were waiting, we filled out the sheets and picked our 4 tastings. They range from dry, semi sweet and sweet. They also serve slushies and mulled wine. We ordered: Flight of 4 $10.00: -Dry Red- 2022 Free Run Norton -Dry Red- 2023 Marquette -2 Dry White-2023 Seyval Blanc -Dry Red-2022 Norton -Dry Red-Oaked Norton -Dry Red-2023 Alexander -Semi Dry Rose- 2023 Grower's Blush Appetizer: -Classic Charcuterie for two For food, they do have paninis and charcuterie trays. If you order, they give you a buzzer. When it goes off, you pick up your meal outside/food truck. Our favorites were the Alexander red and Seyval Blanc. So good that were purchased bottles to take home and had two glasses of Alexander after we finished our flight. I talked to the owners and they are very friendly and take pride in their wines & their farm. I highly recommend you pay them a visit. We had such a great experience and will definitely come back when in the hocking hills area. Make sure to check their hours because they are only open certain times and days of the week.

It looked very scenic and laid back too so we had to check it out. Glad we did because we really enjoyed it. Excellent wine, very relaxed atmosphere, and tremendous service. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon after some hiking. We just wanted a couple wine flights and maybe a charcuterie board since we saw they offer those. It was pretty busy already and we got there right after they opened for the day. Still, it wasn't super cold out, and we found comfortable seating on a porch outside. We started with two flights and a classic charcuterie board. Here are the wines we tried: -Dry Red- 2022 Free Run Norton -Dry Red- 2023 Marquette -Dry White-2023 Seyval Blanc -Dry Red-2022 Norton -Dry Red-Oaked Norton -Dry Red-2023 Alexander -Semi Dry Rose- 2023 Grower's Blush We enjoyed pretty much all the wines, especially the Alexander and the Seyval Blanc. Note that when ordering food, you order at the bar, then they hand you a pager, and you get your food at a food truck nearby when your pager goes off. Our charcuterie board was done pretty quickly and everything was tasty. So much so that we took our time to savor it along with a couple more glasses of wine. They do offer s nice range of wines too, from dry to sweet to all points in between. They also do seasonal wines like mulled wines in winter and wine slushies. Like a certain wine? You can buy a bottle and they offer 10% off if you buy six or more bottles. This is a great little winery and lots to offer. I can tell they're a big hit with locals and travelers alike with how busy they got quickly after opening up. Say hi to the sheep when you get there too!

What is unique about this place the wines aren't considered meads. Meads are made from honey, but they offer wine infused by honey. I have brought several of my grape wine loving friends to Dutch Creek and they all leave pleasantly surprised with purchased bottles in hand. Love this winery's location too. Enough away from the hustling college town to provide a calm and pleasant experience, yet very convenient to the local restaurants to make for a lovely first course to your evening's meal. I can't say enough good things about this unique winery. Their bee to bottle process rivals any other wineries I've visited, which includes those of Germany and Italy that we have enjoyed. Yelp needs to create a special category just for Dutch Creek Winery.

Server did not disclose that there was a charge for this, I think she should have because this is not a common thing to do at all. I'm a server and I would never charge someone for something without them knowing. I consider that stealing. 2. The appetizer came out after the food which happens and I get that mistakes happen but it just added more negativity to the experience. I think it should have been known by the server the order of the meal though. 3. Clicked the print receipt button and never got a receipt? Not a huge deal but just another negative addition. Why is the button an option if it wasn't meant to follow through with the action. 4. We asked to sit outside and there was no room which is fine. But when a deuce behind us asked to sit outside, they sat down inside and when the first table was open, they offered it to the people who were seated after us. Overall, this restaurant looks nice and the service was nice. I think this place could really improve in quality and numbers if they paid attention to the details. I would say we'd love to come back because the food was so good but the point of eating out is not just to enjoy food but have a good experience and enjoy your time and money. The negatives were unfortunately not worth it for us.

I figured at least we'd get a good story out of it. But when we got in, we were greeted by Craig and Candie who are the "mom and pop" of this mom and pop winery! Craig led us through the tasting of about 7 wines, and he shared historical information about WV wine country, grape lineage and history, the politics of wineries in WV, and most importantly what makes a "perfect wine". Suffice it to say we learned A LOT! And the wine was great too! We walked away with 6 bottles (they can't ship), and we plan to go back next time we're in town!

I shy away from tastings in Ohio because I am overwhelmed by the sweetness of the wine, but this is an entirely different experience. In addition, the beautiful building was created with wood from their land with their sawmill. This will be on our list of places to take company from now on. It's only 17 minutes from Marietta, with a quick turn off the interstate.
