The Shade Station sells a wide range of er...shades from a variety of different designers. Expect to find the likes of; Bvlgari, Police, Oakley, Armani and D&G just to name a few. They also sell watches, goggles, jewellery and accessories so it's worth looking in if you're shopping for a gift for somebody. With a lot of brands being designer, the prices can be steep. Pop in at sale time to grab some bargains.

Shadestation.co.uk Excellent service. I asked Maui Jim if Shadestation was a authorised seller of their glasses which they are. My new maui jims arrived the next day, well packaged and as maui jims should be. Very impressed. Thank you. read more

Like many others before me I was scammed. I paid online for sunnies then got email claiming my details were incorrect and they would not send what I paid for. Other people report this and also recieving fake knock offs (hundreds of reports) and never recieving goods. An atrocious company with a history of operating in bad faith. Never before has my payment been accepted then the company refuses to send what I paid for and treats me like a criminal. Avoid at all costs. Furthermore I was misled by Trustpilot AGAIN and believe they are not operating honestly either. When I said I would post reviews if they didn't refund me they accused me of "threatening" staff. They are scammers and bullies. read more

Shade, a UK- based online merchant, exploited the lack of protections for me as a US customer. In October 2017, I ordered prescription sunglasses from Shade for $365 USD. After I placed the order, Shade contacted me several times requesting I make modifications to the order because they were unable to honor the original order. Months later, Shade sent me sunglasses without a prescription. Shade refused to send me a return shipping label for the item. After months of email correspondence with Shade and placing a dispute with my credit card company, Shade gave me a $9-7 USD credit to mail the item back to Shade. I had to pay $14 USD to return the merchandise. 7 months after I originally placed the order, Shade indicated that it had closed the issue and would not refund my return. read more

This Shade Station sells shades and more. Not so much more, call it shades and watches. Big brands and big price tags to match. Personally, what I would do, is nip up and across the way and take a looksy at TK Maxx's range of shades, as they had tonnes throughout Summer and Autumn of last year, big brands and at a fraction of the cost. If you're thinking of splashing out on a gorgeous pair of Oakley's for your loved one as a nice expensive gift, the packaging and casing is all part of the gift, and thus Shade Station comes into it's own. The big brands sell themselves, and styles like Chanel and Versace are instantly recognisable by their signature styles. Also, as opposed to hunting some of these bad boys down on the internet, you can actually go in and touch and try these sunglasses on for size. Not everyone has the perfect head and face shape for Aviators. There's also the added feature of Shade Station being a licensed dealer, so there are no worries of imitation or authenticity issues, again, key when you're parting with £200 of your hard earned cash on some seriously pricey face bling. Staff, meh, they could work a little harder in my opinion, they're alright and inoffensive enough, but they don't seem to do a right lot, and when you're actually wanting to ask about a specific set of desired shades, you kinda need to drag information out of them. 2.5 stars would be apt here. read more

Shade Station sells mostly sunglasses with a few watches thrown in for good measure. These are reasonably pricey shades and the shop is all about designer names including Armani, Chanel, Ray Ban and Oakley. If you like to not only make sure your shades are bang on trend, but also let it be known that you wouldn't deign to protect your eyes for less than £70 then you're sure to find something to suit your expensive taste at Shade Station. read more

Don't order from this company if you are in Australia. I ordered Oakley Snow Goggles for my son's birthday as he was going on a snow boarding trip and paid an extra $30 AUD for speedy delivery and the goggles arrived 2 weeks after he was back home from his holiday!! The company claims the extremely slow delivery was because I gave a PO Box address, but I was never advised this wasn't acceptable, & was never contacted for an alternate address, which I could have easily provided. Even once I did give my street address it took another week to arrive!!! The only compensation they provided for their incompetance was a refund for the "speedy delivery"!!! read more

Superb service, I was rung up once to be told the lenses I ordered were not very opaque and people would be able to see my eyes. As they are sunglasses I asked for a darker lens. I was then called a second time to check my prescription as it was unusual. The sunglasses arrive within 48 hours of order and everything is perfect. Would definitely use again. read more

After ordering an emergency purchase (i.e. I needed to make use of their next day delivery option for some ski goggles before flying out to Austria), I rang them up to confirm that the the order had gone through ok, payment successful, everything in stock (not just trusting the website) and next day delivery was setup. Everything is fine I was told. 24 hours later, After it was too late to go elsewhere, I got an email saying the item was out of stock and would I like to wait a week or order an alternative? How stupid are they? Avoid this site, their customer service is pathetic, and their reliability is obviously questionable... read more

This is possibly the worst experience I have ever enoutered with any company. They are legally trying to extort the consumers money. My sister bought me a fun bday present- a pair of heart shape Firefox sunglasses. They shipped the wrong style number to me and I received a purple pair of sunglasses. ( arriving 7 days after order placed). They asked them to be to return before they would take any action despite me emailing across images of recipe bed sunglasses and the invoice stating a different style. I had to pay for shipping. An additional $36 as based in nyc. In today's day an age there is enough competition on the market place where I should not have to deal with the poor customer service of having to ship something. This should already be handled and I should just have to seal up the envelope and return. So that fact that I went to my post office and registered and insurred the parcel is already above and beyond what I should have done. I emailed copies of all paper work to the customer relations Dept so they had copies of all. 10 days later I followed up as heard nothing from them. I was then told I would have to chase up the package as they were unable to find the tracking number. I did so and USPS told me that package had it the uk and was no longer track able with them. Shade station refused to believe this and called me wrong laying blame on me. Finally a more senior person explained that the package was now track able with Royal Mail and they would follow up there. They received the sunglasses ( this is now over 25 days since order placed ) and wrote me a email stating that they have never stocked the sunglasses that I sent them back and were not refunding sunglasses nor postage back. Their customer relations and every one I encountered from top to bottom has to be be the rudest, most unprofessional, poorly suited for their positions. This company has no business in having any further activity within the e-commerce space. They have huge operational problems that result in extremely poor customer service where the consumer ends up bearing the brunt of their mistakes and having to pay for goods with nothing to show from it. Some may call this legal extorting money from consumers. They have refused at every level to take responsibility and make good on any part of this sale and transaction. Shade Station have clearly no idea on good customer experience or maintaining a customer who has gone to such lengths and patience to see their experience be rectified. Not only do I NOT recommend them on any level, but I strongly urge anyone else to never purchase anything from them out of fear they will encounter a similar story. read more

The poor rating is purely due do the terrible product quality. Bought a pair of prescription sunglasses for a pretty sizable chunk of money. The frames are Ray Ban, no problem there and the lenses themselves are ok but the tint is worthless. Faded to a horrible brown colour in less than a month. What a load of rubbish! read more

I bought a pair of sunglasses online from Shadestation. BEWARE of buying from this shop - if there is anything wrong with the product they will be unhelpful and useless. I ordered a pair of sunglasses in June from them and because they cost so much I was meant to receive free next day delivery. As they were prescription sunglasses, I was told that the lenses would take one week to make. THREE weeks later I finally received the sunglasses, after several phone calls to the store. When I opened the package the sunglasses had been completely bent out of shape - they were completely unwearable. I rung up straight away and described the problem - they told me to send them back by special delivery which I did (it cost me £6). I rung them the next day to check that they had received them and they had - they told me they would be ready within a week. I was visiting the area the next week so I said I'd come in and try on my sunglasses once they'd been fixed. I was told this was fine. After a week, I rung again asking where they were and after some confusion from the shop assistants, who hadn't got an idea what was going on, I was told they hadn't even been sent for repair! I kept ringing them for the next FOUR WEEKS asking why they hadn't been sent out to me yet (I rung every 2-3 days) and every time I got an answer that evaded the question - they didn't have a clue. I started asking to speak to the manager and she refused to come on the phone. SEVEN weeks after ordering these sunglasses (and £280 later) I finally got them through the post again. This time they were too large. I rung up the same day to complain and asked for a refund. The shop assistant on the phone said he wasn't authorised to do that and gave me the email address of the managing directors. I wrote a lengthy email fully explaining the extent of the ignorance of the staff at Shade station and why I was very unhappy with the service. I got a reply stating that what i said in the email was made up - that they had sent out my sunglasses within a week and I had never called them to ask where they were. This simply wasn't true - obviously I have my phone records to prove how many times I called them. They also claimed I had 'sent the sunglasses back three times already' and I 'should take them to my local optician to get them fixed' as they 'had tried to help me for long enough'. This was completely unacceptable - I replied to the email saying this and also asked for the postage money back. A week later I hadn't got a reply, so I emailed again and within another week I finally got a refund only for the postage money (not for the sunglasses). So, after 10 weeks I finally got my £6 back. I really do not recommend shopping here, as if there is a problem with the product, they are extremely rude and unhelpful. read more

Very poor customer service. They re glazed a pair of prescription sunglasses for £115, they got the prescription wrong and refused to acknowledge any error on their part blaming me for giving them the wrong prescription even though there were large discrepancies between actual prescription and their work Would not use again read more

I visited the Shade Station shop after seeing their website and wanting to try a few of the sunglasses on. The shop only displays a fration of what is shown on their website but the staff were helpful and went to get the sunglasses from the stock room. As the shop is quite small and doesnt show all the stock I would recommend you select from the website and then go in and ask to see the sunglasses as I did. read more

Terrible Service - The sunglasses arrived with the wrong prescription - I went to Vision Express to check the prescription and they confirmed they were completely wrong - I am now process on complaining to the ABDO and I'm taking shadestation to a small claims court...The CEO has not taking this seriously and has told me to "get used to the sunglasses" Absolute Joke! DO NO USE!!! read more

I purchased 2 pairs of sunglasses online and after hearing nothing for 3 days I contacted them by phone, I was then told that they had emailed me which was a lie and that they had charged my card but infact had no stock to for fill the order, I then tried to order other pairs and they had no stock for any of them and where continuing to take money. All in all a bad experience, shocking customer service, poor staff attitudes and for the money that they charge I would expect far far more, avoi at all cost, go to the sunglasses hut !! read more

My friend had recently bought 2 pairs of sunglasses from ShadeStation and she seemed very happy with them. I am going on holiday to the canary Islands next month and figured I wanted a new pair of sunglasses myself. Seeing how happy my friend was, I decided to give ShadeStation a go. I found shade station had a good choice of branded sunglasses, in all shapes and colours. I spent what seemed forever finding a pair i really liked. When I did find one, i chose next day delivery. Unfortunately I did not receive my order the next day. This is why I only gave 4 stars. I called customer services to complain and to find out where my order was but was surprised how pleasant the woman on the phone was. She explained everything to me and apologized for the delay and refunded my £3.95 postage In the end I only had to wait another day for my delivery! Happy with my sunglasses and despite the delay in delivery, would recommend shadestation! read more

I had a brilliant experience with Shade Station from start to finish. Ordering was really easy and the range of designer sunglasses and prescription eyewear is one of the best I've seen online. My order was dispatched quickly and arrived in perfect condition, beautifully packaged with all the brand paperwork and authenticity materials included. The glasses themselves are exactly what I hoped for - genuine, great quality and competitively priced. Customer service kept me updated at every step and it really felt like a company that cares about getting things right. Overall, Shade Station is a trustworthy retailer with excellent products and outstanding service. I'll definitely be shopping here again and recommending them to friends. read more

My friend recommended Shadestation and so i bought 2 pairs of sunglasses for me and my sister. There was a lot of choice and it took us a while to navigate through the website, but eventually we both found sunglasses we loved. The ordering process was straight forward. Because our order came to over £200, we got free express delivery. I thought that was quite nice as many companies still charge you delivery cost, no matter how much you spend with them. the delivery even came the next day as stated. So not only are we really chuffed with our sunglasses, but there really isn't anything to complain about! Will happily buy again based on this experience! read more

Bought a Hugo Boss watch for my fiance for this 35th birthday. I knew he'd been after one for a while and so went on the hunt! I came across shadestation, which seemed to have a decent selection of watches and sunglasses! I found one, despite the pricey tag, i though my fiance would love and bought it. I have read so many reviews that their customer service was terrible, but I did not experience anything negative. I got free delivery and i had the watch, which was securely packed, in just days. I had expected 4-5 days for delivery, as would be usual. Anyways, I'm happy, my fiancee is happy and I think Shadestation was a good choice! read more

I have brought 3 things from Shade Station. Oakley Frogskins Eric Koston, Ray Ban Aviators and pair of Chanel sunglasses for my girlfriend. I found they supplied a excellent service, and any problem I had with my order was of no fault of theirs, if I point the finger it would have to be at Royal Mail, they do not help one single bit. I would recommend this website to anyone, even some complimentary sweets come in the box. Honestly a great website not only to by off, but to look at, the whole experience is simple and enjoyable. read more

I found Shadestation by chance, while looking for sunglasses for my mallorca holiday. I thought they had a great selection of branded sunglasses. I had found a lovely pair of gucci sunglasses in harrods, but it was way too expensive, so I looked online for a cheaper price. Shadestation offered me the best price and so I ordered. I have not had any problems with them, despite reading some negative reviews before ordering. Would happily order again, if the price is right :D read more

I ordered the Tom Ford Anoushka sunglasses from Shade Station on Dec 3, 2014 and received them in the United States on Dec 16, 2014. Not only was the shipping super fast but the price was literally half of what I was going to pay down at the Mall. What more could you ask for, authentic designer glasses for half the price of the department stores and quick shipping. I received a tracking number after I placed my order so I could track it , this was really helpful. read more
