My sister called me in to review the list of proposed fixes (I'm the family shade tree mechanic). We were trying to make sure the result was worth the expense and the car would be reliable as my niece was flying in to pick it up and drive it to Wisconsin over spring break. The mechanic explained what needed to be done and the repair coordinator showed us a detailed estimate and time line for the repairs. The estimate was much more affordable than the one from the dealer and they inspired confidence, so we commissioned the work. The shop completed the repairs (intake manifold gaskets, valve cover gaskets, 3rd brake light, etc.) and performed an inspection which demonstrated the other systems were in excellent working order. I inspected the work and It looked perfect. My family drove it around for a day before it made the long drive to Wisconsin without any issues. I would highly recommend Express Automotive and I'll be taking my cars there as well. I had seen the one negative review on Yelp before we commissioned the work, but discounted it as one does when the reviewer is clearly on a rant. We found the people at Express Automotive to be extremely professional and courteous.

I do understand when shade-tree mechanics, like myself, bring in a project after phucking it up, can be a real nuisance. I mean, who wants to repair some yahoos dumb mistakes, right? That being said, three weeks to install coil springs and forgetting the goddamn shocks? How do you do that? So the car is back and gonna take a long drive to settle it in and see how it feels. So far so good. I aint a religious man but will probably say a few prayers anyway, just to be sure. Would I recommend them? Well, they are friendly and seem very helpful. I give them the benefit of the doubt on the mechanic skills and if youre a patient man, I would say give em a shot.

We ended up test driving this Ford Explorer and LOVED it. I would have never thought I would walk out of there with a Ford Explorer it didn't even cross my mind as an option but it had everything I wanted and more.
