My…read moreSubaru needed brakes so I got a couple of quotes between 350 and 400 then Eddie's was recommended and their quote was a bit higher but since it was recommended I figured I don't mind paying for better service. Well their place was spotless it was like sitting in a Dr office. After 3 hrs I was done and the bill was double quoted. So Eddie says oh the quote was just one axle this was never mentioned plus ever where else was half. So bottom line I'll never go back and I don't recommend them since this was the oldest trick in the book. Live and learn just don't make my mistake.

At at 4 PM on 4/26/24 (Friday) my family found ourselves in an AutoZone parking lot with a broke…read moredown truck hauling an RV. I googled repair shops and found Eddie's but saw that they were going to be closed in an hour and a half so I didn't have much hope that my situation was going to be resolved without recourse to some towing. Going for broke, we called them up, talked to Claire, and they said they had an open bay and would be happy to look at it. By the time I got the truck to them and they diagnosed the problem, we were 30 minutes to closing. It was the radiator and needed to be replaced. That's a serious job but they said they sympathized with my predicament and the mechanic, Brandon, and managers Donnie and Wes, were willing to stay late to fix it. Long story short, they stayed until 8:30PM fixing my truck. It works great and we were able to camp and attend the horse show the next morning! This was service above and beyond anything I expected. I can't thank and recommend them enough.

We recently moved to the area, and one thing I was nervous about was finding a trustworthy mechanic…read moreas a bad mechanic can cost you tons of time and money. I originally got turned on to Roberts Auto Repair by seeing the blue Tacoma with the phone number on the side. I figured anyone who can keep a truck that old looking that good has to be one hell of a mechanic. I just picked up my old own truck this week, and Roberts was the first place I took it as the check engine light was on. I pulled the codes, and it turned out to be the knock sensor. I took the truck in fully intending to just have that sensor replaced, and Jason talked me out of it because it wasn't needed. I feel like the best way to judge how trustworthy a business might be is if you walk in trying to spend money on something you don't need and they turn you away. If Jason would have been like, "Oh sure we can do that no problem," I'd be $150 lighter and probably never even really know that I didn't need to do it. Instead, his guys tuned the truck up and replaced a problematic radiator and the thing runs as good as new. We'll definitely be going to Roberts Auto Repair from here on out. They did good work, didn't upsell me on things I didn't need, and got it all done quick. What else do you need in a mechanic?

This is by far the most rude, and least professional business we've ever used. He did not hold up…read moreto their word, he called us names, like "feaking yankees", he said some incredibly mean and unprofessional things to us. He's hot headed, and it's been said numerous times that he is thriving off of the good business his father established and he took over. He said that because we upset him by asking if the work was done correctly and saying it's important because of many of the reviews we are reading and the fact that we have three babies in the vehicle, that our car was in his custody now and he was going to charge us whatever the heck he wanted to and we had to pay it or we would not get our vehicle back. He didn't get the vehicle in when he said he would and closed up shop without notifying us. My husband had to pay our plumber to get to work the next morning, as we are new to the area and do not know anybody. The only reason we went to him and not our previous mechanic was because he ensured us he would have the vehicle in That Day. ********He said that we would not get charged as agreed upon unless we took our bad review down. He still overcharged.********* He's called us numerous time back to back when we've messaged him confronting him of the damages done to our vehicle while in his custody, and harassed us. We have phone log attesting to this. *******POSSIBLY THE WORST OF ALL, they in fact DID cause damage to our vehicle. When driving off his lot the day the work was completed, our vehicle began to shake all over the road. A bunch of lights came on as well.******** We found out days later that not only did they barely hand screw in the bolts on our wheel bearings which had practically fallen off, but they also broke our vehicle sensor, which is accessed thought the wheel bearings. Additionally, we had to replace two wheels which were recently put on due to damages done as a result of the bolts not being screwed in. We have paperwork from several mechanics, one of which we say who the day before going to him (they ran a full diagnostics, no lights on, no issues with vehicle), and the mechanic we saw after leaving Roberts, both attesting to these facts. He refuses to pay for the damages, he's fought us every step of the way. RUN FROM THIS MECHANIC if you value your and your families safety and money. It might sound like I am over exaggerating, but I have actually left so much out of this review. We would be here all day if I mentioned all that he's done and said to us. We have sought legal aid in this matter as well as contacted the BBB and Attorney General. Long story short, I suggest you save yourself the headache and money and go elsewhere!

Ok. I have a transmission issue…read more Brought it in to determine the root-cause. They found an old (not cleared) thermostat problem that I fixed a year ago. It didn't totally close, thus not allowing the Cat o get up to temperature quickly enough. I replaced for $25 and 45 minutes, easy. Check-engine light disappeared. But obviously the code locked in. And also they said I needed a full replacement transmission. Which I don't deny may be required. , sorta. I am 71 years old, done professional car work since 17. The ONLY reason I am not doing this myself is age. But that said, before I would tear down anything I would already know what component is bad. A valve, cam sensor, etc. My symptoms are of a valve-body stuck valve, causing the clutch(s) to not fully engage. Thus I wanted a more concise explanation for why I should give them $5,000 - $6,000 to replace the entire Xmission. I really should have had a talk with the trained mechanic that could go into depth about the detailed reason it is giving me problems. But I got the worker at the register explaining the estimate to me. I have 100% confidence she has ZERO true mechanical knowledge/training past what to say. She should have called the Tech to talk to me. Had that happened I would have set an appointment to have it replaced. But given the weak thermostat ($330) ghost diag, I had zero confidence about the rest of their work. Reminds me of "give a kid a hammer and everything looks like a nail".
