The window screens also looked much better when I came back. The con: They lost out on 3 stars because they originally told me 11 and I had to contact them the night before to ensure that the time was still good. I was told that it might have been closer to noon, which I was fine with. The day of the cleaning for my move out inspection, I didn't hear from them until I contacted Dennis around 12:15 and after that, I was contacting the cleaners directly about every 30-60 minutes to find out if they were on the way. Eventually they showed up around 3pm. They finished up around 5 or 6 and it was getting dark already. My apartment was poorly lit, so by that time it was hard to see much and it looked good in the moment. The day of my move out inspection (2 days later), I got to my apartment about 30 minutes early and took another look around and was very disappointed and, so was my land lord when she showed up. We saw that one of the screens was not put back up and was actually sitting in front of the window. The shower curtain rod wasn't put back up, it was actually just placed in the towel closet. I had to sit there and wipe down the blinds again due to a dirt build up. The lint trap in the dryer was not taken out. There was a decent amount of water streaks on the wood floor, I assume from their carpet cleaner. The bath tub looked like minimal effort was put into it. And there was one of the blinds that had broken off in the master bed room and also placed in the closet. None of these things had been disclosed to me when the cleaners had finished. I will admit, I should've looked closer when they finished but even the little things like the lint trap or the screen could've been easily avoided or noted to me. I expected a little better from a $400 service.

Review on Juan Rubalcaba:…read more Surprise Estimate: Juan's initial visit to the house (to do an estimate) was unannounced - a complete surprise, as he did not contact me to confirm a time. Poor Communication: Juan called me to schedule a time to paint the house. I asked him if Friday would work with his schedule. INSTEAD of calling me back to confirm, he simply SHOWED UP ON A MONDAY with a ONE HOUR notice. Poor Care of Client's Property: Juan and his associate left a mess - part of a tool on the floor, paint/wood chips all over the ground, multiple drops of paint all over lava rock wall and yard. I told him he could remove a decorative white picket fence detail if it would make it easier for him to access our lanai. I specifically told him that they are held in place by small Phillips head screws and simply needed to be unscrewed. He ended up destroying the wooden fences by tearing them apart, and now they are no longer usable. Overall unprofessional and lack of attention to detail with a very lazy walk-thru inspection after completing the job.

The condo building where I live also had our entire three story building painted. The job they did was outstanding and after having the building painted we realized on the handrails how poorly the previous painting company did because we could now notice green spots all over the handrails and yet there were no brown spots from when Matador painting painted our building brown just goes to show what a great job they did . if you want the best painter in Honolulu call matador painting. Good work at a good price!…read more After nearly 15 years, had to have my hour re-painted (2nd time) and priced around a few places here in Mililani. It ended up Tachibana Painting came in at the best price, and when thinking back, we did use them in 2010 ish, when we repainted the house exterior for the first time. Also when we repainted our downstairs interior when we remodeled. James came within 2 days from when I sent a message on their website to do a quote. Had to have some window trims removed due to the carpenter bees burrowing into them, have some decorative roof beams replaced (dry rot), and a few areas patched. No problem - they have people that can do it all, in addition to the painting. Then within a day and a half of the visit, I got a written quote via email, along with the warranty if we choose to do the work with them. Had the weather cooperated, it probably would've taken about a week; from the initial power washing, to re-grouting the seams, the carpentry work, then priming and painting 2 coats. But Mililani being Mililani, it rained and the work dragged on a bit, but something the workers can't control. So overall, a good job and would definitely use them again!

They first power washed the exterior (including the roof) and finished with approved HOA paint colors. They were quick, clean and immaculate in their work! Plus!
