As they knew, we have a tenant who has a day off today and needed to go out and my husband needed to leave for work 12:30. She reached out to the tech 3x. At 12:15 I heard from him insisting he is on time. He arrived by 12:25. He was far from on time. My husband took him quickly into the tenant's empty attic to show a concern. In the interim he left me 3 color charts, which were quite similar. He went up on one side of the duplex w a ladder. We offered water, soda..... . It is a cooler day. When he came down I showed him quickly two gray colors. All he said was when you get your estimate there will be a figure from Cambridge and a figure for the color you choose of IKO. I asked him to explain this and said we are on a tight budget with me being downsized 6 years ago and pushed into early retirement. He focused on one book with an adhesive under the shingle. I asked, is that how the shingle is held down? HE YELLED AT ME saying I said shingles are nailed down. Being polite and having worked 40 years with professional NYC attorneys I bit it. I asked him bear with me because I I am nervous with a Sloan Kettering Consult next week. He yelled at me I AM NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR PERSONAL PROBLEMS. He had some looks to give my son, who was leaving from lunch from our home that wasn't even addressing him. He entered short on patience walking across our lawn both ways. He never went to the back of the house nor did he measure anything. He was unprofessional, rude, obnoxious, waste of our time and I told him he was rude to me and he defied me arguing. I put his books on the table near him. He left them. Penyak, if you want your books come get them. We accepted their recommendation and recently they completed the work. Today I removed our xmas decorations and found many scraps from the gutters. I would not recommend NJ Gutter.

Edited review: I updated to add a few stars because the initial phone call was a good experience…read more Things started strong-I called to scheduled gutter cleaning, and they emailed a quote right away for cleaning and flushing of all gutters and leaders. I approved the estimate. After 4 weeks, I called them because I hadn't heard back about scheduling the job. They indicated that due to weather it would take awhile to get to my house. I do agree that the weather was difficult, and I understand the delay in scheduling the work. But when they finally came to complete the agreed-on gutter cleaning, the office called me to say that the job would cost about double what I was previously quoted. I did not interact with the service team that would do the work at my house. They did not come to my door. The office apologized for the misunderstanding about the price. It seems to me that there is something wrong in their estimating process if it takes 2 months to follow-up on an estimate and then they change their price at last minute. I did not use their service, so I can't comment on whether they can do a good job or not. But doubling the price at last minute (after they had 2 months to come out and change it earlier in this process) did leave me feeling like I didn't want to work with them. I was told by their office that they create estimates based on satellite image photos. When I spoke to the first person on the phone, she said that I have a lot of trees. I agreed. And I was fine with a reasonable price to clean the gutters. But then on the day I wrote this review, I was told that my house is bigger than described. I never described it. They looked at satellite images and came up with the price based on that. So at this point, I'm not sure where the breakdown in communication occurred but I feel letdown by the process. And there was no fixing it because from my point of view, they just changed their price when they got here and my option was to pay double or not get the job done, so I did not have the job done. I wish things had gone differently. I hope my experience is a one-off, but I do want to share that the estimating process feels confusing and disorganized from what it could be.

Please beware of using Rx Sealers for any job…read more Started off great as Steve seemed very knowledgeable about the work needed to be done on our driveway but it soon turned very sour. Steve did the power washing of the driveway on a particular day but for the driveway repairs and seal coating, Steve only gave us dates (for when he could do the work) when it was either raining during the day or later that day. As anyone would imagine/know/research, driveway repairs, and rain don't mix well. When we questioned Steve no it, he made it seem like we did not know what we were talking about which was extremely unprofessional. He messaged us one day saying he would do the driveway repairs the next day in the morning. We were only able to see the message very early in the morning the day of and again, it was scheduled to rain that evening. We questioned him again on it, and he insisted on doing the work that morning even though it was scheduled to rain. We eventually canceled that morning as he did not seem interested in doing a quality job that would last. His interest seemed to be in completing the work to get his check. Further, Steve had power washed the driveway a few weeks before (because there was no good day in the middle) and when we canceled because he could find a good time for our job, he insisted on getting paid for the power washing. He CLAIMED to have sent us a bill which we never got, and then one day asked a lady to call us for the check - I informed the lady that we had not received the invoice and had to ask her to stop yelling. She sent a text message with a link to the invoice saying we had to mail in the check. A few days later, I got a call from Steve YELLING at me asking why it was not paid and threatening to take me to court. I had to repeatedly ask him to calm down and when he finally did, I asked if there was any alternative mode of payment as frankly, I do not have a checkbook anymore. He tried to tell me it is 2024 and why I didn't have a checkbook, to which I had to honestly reply saying it is 2024, why does he not have an electronic mode of payment. In short, a terrible experience. Don't use this company.
