Carl came to do our driveway ( over an hour late) with no phone call or text telling me he would be delayed. He told me he would repair the cracks and apply the seal coating. All good and fine. After working about a half hour, he was finished. We were quoted $155. Circled at the bottom of the bill was this total. Carl then upcharged us $75 because he repaired the cracks. At no point we were told the bill was going to be $225. He did not give us a legit bill. The total that was circled was $155. He was nasty, rude and dishonest. We had Scott come to our house for an estimate regarding a few small projects (hanging a door, minor gutter repair, etc.) and he said he'd get back to us within a few days with a price and date to do the work. Ten days passed with nothing. So I emailed, and two weeks later, still no response. I understand that schedules change and can be tough to manage - and there may be some jobs that a contractor is unequipped or uninterested in doing. But to promise someone service, leave them hanging for weeks without even giving the courtesy of a "sorry, I can't do it" message" is dishonest, unacceptable and unprofessional. I'd give Zero stars if the app would permit it.
