He eventually showed up, took the shutters off (had to remind him to do that and not just paint them on the house), spray painted, then he left to do something else while the shutters were drying. Unfortunately, we didn't like the color. As the shutters were drying on the lawn, and BEFORE he was supposed to come back to re-install them, I called him and said we didn't like the way they looked and I was going to get more paint if he could please paint over them again. I immediately went out and bought new paint while we waited for him to come back. He told me he wanted another $200 to have to come back and literally just spray over the shutters again with the new paint...10 minutes of work. Wanted cash only for the whole job (RED FLAG)--demanded it even. Told him that was never part of the deal. Talked him down to $850 total and wrote the check just to get him off our property. One of the shutters is hanging off the house--he never re-installed it properly. Made it seem like this was all just a big bother to him. Don't waste your time with this guy. Just trying to cram in as much business as possible without caring about craftsmanship. Turn and burn. Look elsewhere, or just buy a ladder. You're already buying the paint yourself.
