Well- we tried to get to the good festival- and it was shut with no notification.
Then we popped to a Portuguese restaurant- and there were no tablets for two for two hours!
So we found this place online, rang them up to see if they had a table, and my gosh, I was so glad they did!
After striding through the rain a distance more than the internet eluded, we arrived to friendly faces, asking if it was for a special occasion and offering us a squishy booth. As there were only two of us we went for a little table.
I was childish, and couldn't resist a banana milkshake, which created a few jokes with the smiley waiters.
Baba ghanoush and tabbouleh for starter with warm pitta- gorgeous!
And lamb okrah for main, which was rich and tender and so moreish.
Service was fast and attentive without being intrusive, and we were brought tiny katmer at the end of the meal almost as little petit fours.
Definitely recommended, I left very full and happy,
PS: this is an alcohol free restaurant, so don't come here if you want to get a little trollied! read more
