We went here last night, after making the decision myself and friends wanted to try one of the new places on city road, and somewhere where we had never been before. We all decided this place looked nice and we went in. First impressions we were surprised, it was a rich red and bronze draping from the ceilings, with lantels, shishas scattered about, with low sofas and authentic furnishings. we sat by the windows as it had been a warm day. Shutters opened out onto the road. We didnt feel like we were on city road, or even Britain!
We were welcomed almost straight away by a lovely waiter, who gave us the menus. We took a while to decide what we wanted as it all looked so delicious!! We finally chose the mixed Mezza, comprising of olives, hummus Taziki and another dip with salad, hallumi and potatas Bravas. All were beautiful and big portions. Forgot to mention we also each had a bowl of Spicy lentil Soup for free and arabic bread with the mezza. As well it was stunning.
Next we recieved out mains. I ordered Chicken Moushaba (i think that was it) it arrived on a sizzler, it was a baby chicken with no bones. not one once of fat or grissel,it came with onions and peppers. served with either rice or chips. I went for rice and it was a perfect mound of gorgeous flavoured white rice and a lovely dressed salad. It was a challange to eat it all, so left a bit of rice.
My friends and partner had mixed grill and chips.. mountains of meat (taken home in doggy bag as it was too much), chicken sheese, so tasty and not dry! Lamb shank tagine with ginger and apriots.. equally as lovely!!! We all had cokes to drink, but on offer were milkshakes that looked amazing, fruit juices we didnt try but were £3.50, quite expensive but they must be good!?
We then had a free slice of Tirimasu to share which was very nice. All of that Cost £55 for 4 of us. we were stuffed, happy and will definately go back!!!! read more
