Abdul was my server. He was very patient. Ordered the Goat Mutton in sauce with Garlic Naan bread. Dish was excellent, it had pieces of goat with bone in it in the sauce which was a good option with the Nann. The sauce was very tasty and fresh and the Spices in the sauce was a 7/10. The chicken biryani is soooo good!! Glad I listened to the reviews about it- very flavorful. I also ordered lamb korma. Overall both were on the spicy side, but I really enjoy that. My husband was very happy about the fresh garlic naan as well. I don't care to look for restaurants for their ambience or even service etc. But this place did well. read more

I ordered chicken beryani personal meal and it took 30 minutes. To get served. Wont recommend this establishment to anyone.

The restaurant is very nice and clean, we waited less then five minutes to get seated. The only reason we wanted to eat here is we saw the $15 special. When we sat down and ordered they said they needed to check to see if all the items were available to make the special. When our waiter came back he said we could not order it because they did not have the items to make it so that was very disappointing so that is why we took a star off our review. In all honesty we probably should have left and went somewhere else. ------------------ We started our meal with the samosa appetizer. It was very tasty and was not too temperature hot so that was nice. I ordered the Apollo Fish, the more you ate it the hotter the spice seemed to get. It really builds up but was great! If your like me and love spicy food you will love the Apollo Fish! My husband ordered the Butter Chicken and loved the flavor of the sauce. We both shared the plain rice and one order of regular naan. It was very good!! If we are in the area again we would consider eating here... if the special of the day is available. I always take it to go and this is the best Indian/Pakistani food in town. I love the biryani and Nehari. The seekh kabob is very tasty as well. The naan is so soft and cooked perfectly. I would avoid Shahi Nehari at all costs as they do not have good quality. This food tastes just like my mom would make and when it comes to Indian/Pakistani food, that's what you look for. Worst biryani I ever had . They just heated and it. It was smelling , even the rice was sticky which clearly says that food was stored and served. I missed having Indian food for a long time and discovered this restaurant while out and about. It seemed to have a pretty good rating, so I ordered a large assortment platter of tandoori meats, very expensive. I got nan elsewhere and planned to come home and make rice, dal, and curry veg ahead of a blizzard. All of the different kebab and different meats and fish slathered with the same orange red tandoori sauce. Not a very tasty sauce either. I am extremely disappointed. Plus the appetizer in a flaky crust had very little taste. This is what the guy recommended because the samosas were gone. I was once married to a Bengali and half traveled in India six times, and this food is really among the worst that I've ever had. Sitting in a strip mall, it also is very pretentious with its schlocky "chandeliers" and cloth napkins and tablecloths for sitdown diners, no doubt to justify the high prices for this less than average fare. read more

This place is one time go to try if you like Indian food . The place is not so big and it's clean seating too. But their service is not too efficient. They are little bit pricey for the place and food. We ordered their specials like Haleem, Biryani butter chicken luqmi and chicken pakora and mixed grill. Haleem was very good it's something like spicy grits with mutton. Biryani was very good and flavorful but again the portions are too small for the price and just enough for one. Butter chicken was ok in taste but chicken was not enough in it again the portion I would say and they could've used little less food color though. Mixed grill was not good and too small a portion. They should work on both their rates and portion sizes. They started were just waste of money. Only Haleem and Biryani was nice And their desserts are a fail too. Wow! If you've been searching for good chicken biryani, your search is over. I don't know how these people get the chicken to be so tender and flavorful. Definitely slow cooked to perfection. The first time I tried their biryani was at an event where it had been catered. I pushed down on the chicken and saw that it was pink. However, the consistency looked as if it was cooked. I tried it. I went and got more. It's cooked. Trust me it's cooked and boy is it flavorful! Just picked up a single order today which consisted of one leg and one thigh piece. I visited Shaahi Biryani last week from Colorado Springs Colorado. Very nice place for great Authentic Hyderabadi food and family sitting. Very neat and well maintained place. Especially the bathroom is no less than Marriot or Sheraton standards. Nice and friendly customer service. Speed of food delivery was awesome. Met with the restaurant owner Mr Shafi. I have been ordering food from this place for both lunch and dinner.but last night the food was not up to the par. The samosa was soggy and open and falling apart. The rice was half cooked and naan was not fully cooked as well. The only plus point was dum ka chicken which was good. We had to throw the samosa out because it was not samosa at all. I've always taken away from this location. The food seems to be hit or miss. Lamb biryani was dry and not too much lamb meat in there. Butter chicken has always consistently been good. The naans seem to be dry. Channa masala was very bland- seems like they forgot to put spices/seasoning in it. Any purist could easily point out that the majority of these places are not authentic whatsoever. Shaahi Nihari has a pretty diverse menu but much of it is hit or miss.
