After catching The Great Gatsby musical (highly recommend, by the way), we realized we were still kinda hungry. Naturally, we wandered back toward Chinatown in search of a good midnight snack.
Even though it was almost 11pm, Chinatown was still alive and buzzing with both tourists and locals. That said, most places were already closing up shop, so our options were pretty limited.
That's when we stumbled upon Sha Xian Delicacies , not much fanfare, but they were still open and had dumplings on the menu, so we decided to give it a shot. We grabbed a seat outside and passed the time people-watching .
The dumplings came out pretty quickly and hit the spot. Were they life-changing? No. But they were warm, satisfying, and exactly what we needed at that hour.
I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but if you're in need of a late-night dumpling fix, this place does the job. Solid little find when you're hungry, tired, and just need something cozy in your belly. read more
