Anza was by far the most highly praised and had the most reasonable rates for a long park. Compared to Lyft/uber rides, for a two week stay, the cost was close to identical. Before arriving I made a reservation online via the website ( for some reason the app wasn't working on my phone). Use the coupon tab to get a promo code. Apparently all the codes offer the same discount. You can choose to prepay or pay at the lot. I choose to pay at the lot. Since the app wasn't working for me, I printed the reservation information. Arriving in the middle of the night at completely new long term parking seems like a daunting task. But I was completely wrong. There were no staff except for the shuttle driver. But Anza parking is meticulously organized. There were clear signs which guided you through the whole parking process step by step. The signs were perfectly positioned. In the wee hours there is no valet parking. You self park. But once you find your spot you wait for the shuttle. The shuttle driver followed me. This was a great relief. Being alone in an enormous deserted parking lot would have been unnerving. The driver assisted me with my luggage. He gave me a ticket with my parking spot recorded. Payment is expected after you return from your trip. It's a short drive from the parking to the airport about 5-8 minutes. The driver knew exactly the right terminal down to the best door to use for my airline. Once again he assisted me with my luggage. The driver was courteous throughout. Don't forget to tip the driver the way I did. A big bad on my part, which I regret deeply. On the return trip, you need to find the spot labeled "off airport parking" which is located on level two, on the central island(exit the terminal, take the crosswalk across the street) and look for the signs posted. The Anza shuttle will be clearly labeled in the front of the vehicle. The shuttle runs often. I waited for nine minutes. The shuttle runs 24 /7. The driver will collect your ticket and drive you to your parked car if you have self parked. This time I remember to tip the driver. Drive your car back to the entrance/exit. Then drive to the exit lane which is clearly marked. There will be a kiosk with a friendly staffer. You will need your quote and your ticket. I had already entered my credit card information via the website and payment was trivially easy. I recommend Anza Parking wholeheartedly.

On two visits during the past six weeks, I've noticed that parking is at a premium on the streets here, especially with the construction happening in the surrounding streets with construction vehicles either parked or occupying normal metered public parking spaces for their materials. As I tried to have an early lunch with an aunt, I had to turn on my emergency flashers, pull her walker out of the back seat, and help her to the curb. My next mission was to find a parking space before meeting her in the restaurant. The best part is that the garage is actually only two buildings over from the back entrance of the restaurant. This made it feasible for my aunt to walk to my car and enter the restaurant's "backdoor". Today's swap day revolved around games and puzzles. Picked up a couple of puzzles from a family members, and the children of my friends. Separate from that. Spent some time in the computer lab. Working on some stuff. They have some decently new Macintosh systems to work on. Not my native OS normally. But I like it. I like the fact that they have both windows and Mac and tosh systems. In the end. I don't care because I'm operating system agnostic, and welcome the experience on just about every operating system you can imagine.. The maker lab at this library is also excellent . Environmentally it's hard to go wrong with a visit to the Burlingame Public library. It's a beautiful building inside and out.

But the shuttle was not really accurate with the pickup times, which is important when you're trying to catch a flight or return to your vehicle from SFO after your travels. Shuttle pickup is supposed to be every half hour. But the bus arrived about 5 minutes late at the Burlingame Airport Parking pickup booth on a Wednesday morning. Then it took a few more minutes for the driver to load everyone's luggage in the back, and 5-6 minutes to arrive at the airport, with about an additional minute per stop for different groups of airlines... first stop American, Delta, Jet Blue terminal, next stop United, and so on. Upon my return on Saturday evening, it took almost 30 minutes to get back to the Burlingame Airport Parking lot. Pickup is every half hour at SFO, 2nd level "Hotel Shuttles" area. Once you get on the bus, there are several stops at the airport as well as the Hilton Hotel before you'll get back to your vehicle, especially cuz the driver loads and unloads baggage for each passenger at the back of the bus, every stop. All in all, not a bad experience, but I can see why this off airport parking facility was cheaper than the others.

I visited Hillsdale Mall for the first time in decades!…read more I wanted to drop by and survey the parking near Palette Tea Garden. I decided it was best to park on the roof and take the escalator down to ground level.....right to the restaurant! While I was there, I walked around to see what the indoor mall was like. It's a nice shopping mall with a variety of shops, restaurants, and services. The North Mall has a huge "Dining Terrace" which includes an outdoor patio with fire pits. I like the hand washing area. I heard stories that the owners of the mall want to tear down the enclosed mall and build a mixed use open air mall. The plan is yet to be approved. I like Hillsdale Mall the way it is.

The visitor seating area next to Foot Locker smells like throw-up, and the carpets and seats are stained and grimy, like they haven't been cleaned in months. All of the trash bins outside are constantly overflowing, and you can find trash and debris scattered everywhere, which makes walking around gross and unpleasant. During Christmas, the Santa chair for photos is black, sticky, and completely gucky, making what should be a fun experience with kids feel disgusting. The overall smell, dirt, and lack of maintenance make this mall feel unsafe and unhygienic -- honestly, I would never come back and would warn anyone I know to avoid it.

Also, if you are in the South Bay, you can take Caltrain to Milbrae and then transfer to BART for a short ride to the airport.
