Purchase your SFO Long Term Parking tickets in advanced. You get a QR code for your Apple Wallet. You just simply scan the code at the entrance. I think I paid $20 per day for 7 days. It's quite pricey but sometimes you have no other place to park your car. Garage 2 has 24 EV stalls on Level 1. Levels 2-6 has 18 EV stalls on each floor. The elevators to the AirTrain is on level 5 so park on level 5 if available. If you have a Tesla, remember to bring your J1772 adapter. I also 3D printed a small piece so nobody can disconnect the ChargePoint charger from the J1772 adapter. This was my very 1st time using ChargePoint and there were no issues at this parking garage. PRO TIP: Download the ChargePoint app and create a free account. Add the ChargePoint card to your Apple Wallet. I've heard bad stories where people are trying to find the correct ChargePoint stall by trying to find it on the app. Since there are so many stalls, it can be confusing to find the correct stall. I simply used the Apple Wallet ChargePoint tap on the stall and was able to unlock the charger immediately. The EV charging is FREE also. Just plug it in and leave your car there. It charges periodically throughout the day. It's not fast like a supercharger but you don't need it to be fast when you're parking long term. The parking garage is nice and clean. I parked there for 7 nights with no issues. I just walked to the AirTrain on level 5 and easily went to my terminal. It took about 15 min to get to Terminal 1. read more

It takes about 20 mins on AirTrain to get to Terminal 3, so plan accordingly. The lot is large and covered and feels safe. Ordinarily, this parking garage gets the job done. I always reserve in advance and I've never really had a problem finding a parking spot even if it does take some driving around sometimes. Sometimes they even plug my electric car in if it's a little low on juice. But recently the garage was particularly full and I was parked in the overflow garage. I had just landed and took the airtrain to the garage and walked across the sky bridge and then got into the elevator to go down to the third floor where my car was. The elevator started and then abruptly stopped and I could tell that I was between floors. That's not a good sign. I pressed the emergency call button expecting nothing to happen and to my surprise, somebody answered immediately. I explained that I was stuck in the elevator between floors and they asked if I was OK (I was) and said they would be there momentarily. About a minute later I start to hear a siren. I thought that was interesting, but didn't think much of it. The elevator has a glass window facing the airport, so I looked out the window and I could see a fire truck coming along the main road next to the big United Airlines building. I thought that was interesting, but certainly they aren't coming for me. Then it turned into the long-term parking lot and parked right next to the elevator shaft. Great, the fire department is here to rescue me! They took just a few minutes to do something magical and then the elevator was moving again, and I got off on the first floor and took the stairs up to the third floor, where I found the firefighters! I was a bit hesitant to park here due to the high cost, but thought it would be easier and safer since it's operated by SFO. Plus I wanted to park somewhere that has covered parking. Fortunately I was able to find a promotion shortly before our departure date on their website. I think I got 40% off for long term parking which you have to prepay. We ended up paying about $16/day for 17 days. I know a lot of off-site parking companies are cheaper, but if you're looking for convenience and safety, this would be your best bet. It was easy for us to access the Long Term garage, find parking, and take the AirTrain to the International Terminal (which takes about 15 min). Just make sure to add time to do all of the above so you're not rushing to make your flight. Coming back was easy as well. We found my car in the condition we left it. Happy parking! read more

No issues with the parking. In fact the facilities are clean and staff are nice. HOWEVER, the complementary bag check service is not to be trusted. We arrived a full 2 hours before a very early morning flight. As you approach the tram to the terminals there's a desk offering complementary bag check. It was staffed by an attendant as well as a bag runner. Our bag was already pre-paid so it seemed like an easy option to avoid lugging the bag on the tram. They even printed a boarding pass for my child. What they didn't do, however, was get my bag to the airport!! We're now on vacation without luggage. Learn from my mistake. The bus for many years was so easy! The tram is an inconvenient alternative. Shlep all luggage from car to station in a different building on a different floor. Two elevators and a long walk. Then the train which was fine. Then walk all the way through short term parking up and down elevators again. SFO Long Term Parking is a little bit away from the SFO Terminals, but is accessible via the Air Train. The Long Term Parking has two major buildings as well as surface level parking and you access the Air Train from a walkway on one of the buildings. It's cheaper if you prepay on their website which needs to be done at least 2 hours before you arrive, and you can scan a qr code with your reservation to get in and later get out. For EV drivers, they do have some EV Level 2 Chargers as well as outlets where you could plug in your own charger. I haven't tried those before with my EV but might if I'm going for a few day trip and my battery is super low. The Air Train comes every 4-6 minutes, and depending on which Terminal you're headed to or whether you have TSA Pre or Global Entry or CLEAR, you might want to plan that into your commute time. Long Term Parking is roughly about $20/day, which is isn't too bad. There would be times we asked friends or family to give us rides to and from the airport, but it becomes a hassle if they haven't responded yet and you get anxious about whether you need to make other plans. Again, make sure you plan accordingly, even in the lots you might need to go up a couple elevators and cross walking bridges to even get to the Air Train. read more

Accidently pulled into sfo parking vendor when I got off the freeway. That one is not the sfo long term parking. Keep going around the bend to the left to get to sfo long term parking. The entrance will eventually be on the right. Large complex. Parked in the 1st building on the right 3rd floor 3a. The tram walk way is on the 5th floor. Take elevator up, walk around till you finally come to the air tram. The air tram goes to the other parking structures that are closer and all of the gates. International G gate is the last stop so it's a little bit of a ways to do the loop. You can pay ahead online and you get a qr code to scan at the gate instead of taking a ticket. It is a little cheaper to pay ahead. It was about $16/$17 a day. read more

I have been parking at SFO Long Term Parking for the past 2 months to take my weekly trip to the East Coast. It is simple and straight forward to book via the SFO webpage. They use to give a discount but no more. Why the low rating? I usually take the red eye flight out of SFO and get to the garage around 8pm. For the past two weeks, they have been pushing cars to go to the second garage and park on level 2 or 3. They block off with cones to get to the higher levels. BTW, the tram station is on level 5. What pisses me off even more is when I take the elevator up to the 5th floor and walk over the walk way to the other garage, there are many open spaces! Now, I can imagine SFO telling me that the other "closer garage is full and there are no spaces available. AGAIN, I have been going there once a week for the past m9nth and I KNOW what is full and not. My only guess on why they keep us on one level is due to car break ins. There is a security guard in the 2/3 level but I saw none in the other levels. SF has a major problem with car break ins and DO NOT leave anything valuable in you car! I'll still park there but really wish they would open up ALL of the garages. Especially on Monday nights around 8 PM. read more

With so many flight delays due to weather and maintenance issues the long-term parking reservation receipt should include this sentence: "If your flight is delayed you scan you QR code and use a credit card to pay for the additional time." The functionality of the Long-term Reservation parking is quite good, but when we had a flight delay there was NO easy to find/get information about what to do at the exit gate since we had overstayed the amount we paid ahead of time for the reservation. And searching for an answer under the stress of a flight delay only adds to the anxiety. The links and email in our reservation receipt email included a link that took me to a place where I couldn't change the exit time and the email I used was not responded to. The gate attendant did help us, but we delayed our and others' exit because we did not have a credit card ready. read more

Over the years we've parked at various offsite locations near SFO but never here. Until this past August we never considered SFO long term parking garage assuming it was more expensive than other sites. Not true. We've parked here twice in the last month. If you prepay you'll get 1/2 day free for every two days. An QR is sent to your email. Use the QR code to enter & exit the garage. There are two parking garages - 1 & 2. Multiple levels. We liked the convenience of the Air Train rather than relying on a shuttle van. From the garage to Terminal 3 it's about 20 minutes on the blue line. We received a coupon $10 off for our next visit as new customers. I was excited. But I had to pay an additional $10 yesterday as our flight was delayed 4 hours returning to SFO. Hubby scanned the QR code in the prepaid exit lane. Message said card expired. Then $10 displayed on the screen. He tapped a credit card. The arm lifted and we exited.
