Getting my brows microbladed by Melissa was undoubtedly my best beauty care decision I've made in my life. Just to illustrate why I'm so wholeheartedly thankful, let's just say prior to SF Microblading I'd made all of the bad decisions with my brows. I over-plucked them, worked them into an uneven, unflattering shape and then had them permanently tattooed like that about 10 years ago by somebody who didn't know what they were doing. I was pretty traumatized by the whole thing and swore off doing anything to my brows for years as I watched the tattoos fade to grey. After I got the tattoos lasered off, (thank goodness for the Pico laser at Dr. Welsh's), I still ended up filling them in a bit with makeup. Microblading seemed to mimic the effect that I created with makeup, but I was so scared to do it, even though it's semi-permanent. Every consultation before SF Microblading left me too scared to proceed - the technicians all wanted to replicate the same "instagram-looking brow" that they had been trained on. I had to be 100% confident that I was going to get what I wanted before I did anything else to my brows. So here's the deal: Melissa at SF Microblading listens to what you want. Melissa is a true artist! She was so wonderful to work with. I saw her for the first time about a month before my wedding (I trust her that much!) and we started with enough strokes to help create a soft shape and help with my sperm brows. They looked wonderful! Then I just went back for my touch up and she gave me the brows I've always wanted! The color is perfect and she has a great technique. This review is long overdue. Melissa has touched up my old brows a few times. The color was totally faded and I have bad scare tissue from past work being done too deep in the skin. OMG, these ladies are amazing. Rachel did my brows and I am so in love. I had completely given up after a decade of over plucking. I use to have such big awesome brows and now they were down to skinny arches. Not anymore!!! I'm so excited. A lot of the process is actually mapping your perfect brows and numbing them. I read about microblading about a year ago, and I was really interested in getting my eyebrows done but didn't know where to go. A friend of mine just had hers done by Melissa at her salon, and they looked amazing. I was very excited to have mine done as when I was a young lady who grew up in the 70's, had plucked them very thin, which was the style.
