I found this company on Google and Yelp. My experience was great. I had an idea of the custom gate I wanted and received several quotes, but I had the best SF Bay Automatic Gates interaction. Jack immediately understood what I wanted. He was knowledgeable with several different types of automatic gate manufacturers and was able to give pros and cons on all of them. The fabrication of my gate went great. So much so, with his attention to detail, he changed out the post and installed a heavier gauge post to ensure the gates would last. The finished product is BEAUTIFUL exactly what I wanted. Thank you again Jack and SFBAG! read more

We installed a railing on our small deck and stairs in our backyard. Their work was clean and fast. They measured accurately/painted and everything was on time. Thank you! It looks great and we are so happy with the communication and work quality. Side yard access was tight to put the custom railing into a space. Our final finishing touch to our backyard oasis :) read more

From start to finish, I was incredibly impressed with SF Bay Automatic Gates. I had a complex gate project and knew I needed top-of-the-line specialists to make it a reality. Jack, the project manager, was the definition of professional. He clearly knows the mechanics of gates backwards and forwards, was incredibly attentive to detail, and was always responsive to my questions. Andy, the fabricator and installer, is a true craftsman. He built a beautiful, highly functional double bi-fold gate that exceeded my expectations. Even after the project was completed, Jack has remained very responsive whenever I have follow-up questions. If you need a gate--especially a complex one--this is the place to go. The pricing was more than fair, and I feel like I received exceptional value for the quality of work. Five stars all the way. read more

They did a good job putting up my electric gates. I am now having them come back to do the fencing. I have a pretty large property. They went above and beyond and even did a little extra work and did not ask for more money. That is a lot of respect because mist people don't work for free!! read more

After getting a half dozen or so estimates for a entry gate replacement, we settled on SF Bay. We made the right decision. Jack has been nothing short of outstanding. He and his crew did an exceptional job on the installation. We've had two follow up oppotunities and again, the customer service and reaction time was outstanding as well. Will use SF Bay again when it's time to replace the garage door opener. Chris Ferrelli read more

Nice work down at our facility. They were very professional and installed the gates as promised on time with quality work.

Jack, the CEO is very professional, honest and caring. Forest does quality work. He went above and beyond to provide what was needed and even painted a portion of the gate. It has been a difficult gate with actuator arms that weren't appropriate for it. Jack found the perfect solution and my gate works as it never has before. I highly recommend this company for honesty, integrity, quality work and fair prices. read more

Erick and Jack responded promptly to my request for an estimate for a security gate for my house. Jack was on time, friendly, and answered all my questions with good information and observations. He also sent me his estimate that night, which fell within the price range I was expecting. I ended up selecting a different vendor who bid a slightly lower price, which on my limited income made the difference. I would recommend SFBAG to anyone I know needing a gate as one of the top 2 vendors to contact for estimates. Thanks, Jack! read more

This review is long overdue as I had a 20ft custom iron gate made by SF Bay Automatic Gates about 2 years ago. It's stunning. I drew a picture of what I was looking for and the gate came out matching perfectly! I honestly don't know what we did prior to having a gate - so happy it came out the way that it did. While we've have some random issue with the gate not opening, the team has been incredibly responsive via SMS which is a huge plus for me! All issues were covered by them and fixed in the matter of days. Thankful for companies who stand behind their product and work. read more

Great experience with Jack and his team, he came and did a full inspection of my broken gate from the recent storm. As it turns out, the original motor was incredibly underpowered for the size of gate on my driveway. Jack and his team replaced the motor and welded new flanges on. New gate motor is absolutely smooth and silent compared to the noisy fussy janky old one. read more

I had them install a new side fence/main gate and pedestrian gate at our house a few weeks ago. It was about 21 feet wide made from powder coated steel and cedar wood. Sam did a great job communicating with me on materials choice, design, install and completion. They were fair and competitive on price but much faster in timeframe than other vendors I had bid the job. Luis and his fabrication team were excellent and had to do some on site adjustments to get around some underground utilities safely and effectively. I would highly recommend them for a quality job and on time performance! The entire experience was very professional and courteous. I also had them repair and replace a gate motor at my other house which was done within 24 hours! Excellent service! read more

Jack was my point of contact from project estimate through gate completion. With all said and done, his pricing was competitive with the 4 other quotes I received, maybe not the lowest but also not the highest. Jack initially listened to my request for a solid security gate that did not look like a fortress gate and was as was cost effective as possible. He provided suggestions and recommendations and example pics which made sense. He also gave me a couple residential gates to go look at to see the quality of their work, which I did. Together we were able to quickly agree on a design that met my needs. Jack also took the time to show me the automatic gate opener components and options for locking and wireless operation so that I could actually see what I would be owning. We ended up with the gate in the picture which has the high-end Liftmaster LA5500 automatic gate arm, a magnetic locking mechanism for secure gate closure, wireless operation which now works remotely with my cell phone and also operates my pre-existing Liftmaster garage door openers. The gate frame is 2" square tubed metal and the posts are 5" square diameter. The gate frame and posts are powder coated in a dark bronze color and the post cap shapes can vary but I decided on the ball finials for a more classic appearance as we are in an older historic neighborhood. Jack also added one keypad to the front and one to the back of the gate post so that the gate could be operated manually by code on either side for added convenience (without need of the remote fobs or cell phone/computer app). The installation team was knowledgeable and excellent. It took about a week to manufacture and powder coat paint, and about 3 additional days to install everything. The team wanted to be sure the gate operated flawlessly, which it does! I spoke to Jack at the end of the installation and felt throughout the entire process, he was available, receptive to my needs, more than fair regarding a few changes we made to the design along the way, and genuinely cared about the design and installation quality. Using on-line services like yelp for projects like this can be "hit or miss" but my experience with Jack, the fabricators/installers at SFBAG, the experience, service, and final results were excellent. I have been using the gate now for a few weeks and it's just what we needed. It looks great, blends in well with our property and neighborhood, is super easy to operate, and adds security and piece of mind. I highly recommend Jack and SFBAG for your full-service fencing and security gate needs. read more

SF Bay did a few different jobs for me. I had tried a different company prior to finding them, unfortunately the previous company was less than honest to say the least and didn't complete anything. SF Bay not only showed up, but right on time. They were honest, very competitive on price, professional, explained everything to me in terms I understood, completed the jobs and then ....... cleaned up the areas better than it started. I would recommend SF Bay Gates to anyone looking for a great honest professional company. read more

Jonathan was extremely flexible in his initial consultation. SF Bay Automated Gates does have a service charge to come out but will apply your charge directly to your work order. We originally had a Liftmaster motor for our entry gate which lasted several years. Last summer it was replaced with an Eagle motor by a "friend". That installation was a total failure. Come to find out the Eagle motor the "friend" purchased for us was actually manufactured in 2018 and not salvageable. Jonathan provided a same day quote for a completely new Liftmaster system which was installed a week later. The whole process took a couple of hours. The crew arrived on time, communicated everything, programmed the new system and even used a leaf blower when tidying up. Highly recommend this company. Most important part of the bid was the (5) year warranty! read more
