We hired RNA initially to fix a problem with our gate. Charged $900 to replace batteries in the motors that open the gate. That did not solve the problem. Then charged us to replace a part to get it right. Totaled over $2000.00. That didn't correct the problem. In their attempt to correct another problem, the gate will not open manually either. They never solved anything, but they were happy to collect their fees. I hired A & D Automatic gates, RWC. They came out before the scheduled repair and fixed everything. An obnoxious young man came to give a quote. The visit was at their request as they did not want to give a quote by phone or using pitures! His supreme arrogance and entitlement was what stuck out most. His lack of knowledge was second. Some of his recommendations were total rubbish based on information I have from well rated gate installers I used and have decided to use now. E.g he claimed using casters (that he called wheels) was old fashioned and nobody used them anymore. Two 5 star rated companies told me that spring loaded casters were essential for the size of gate we were planning. He also wouldn't have known what spring loaded caster was as he said the wheels wouldnt fit on the driveway because of the slope. His price was one of the highest and I got a quote for about 1/3 lower and have decided to use these guys as they seemed to understand structural engineering like professionals. Besides their humble attitude was a selling point after interacting with someone who clearly did not want to work or did not need work. This young entitled boy walked out when I told him my time frame was 2 months to start the project. This was after he claimed he would take up to 6 weeks to manufacture the gate! The owner must be his papa or partner. No other employee would behave so arrogantly. I did call to complain about his behaviour but his company did not seem to care. Another thing is his words are not always easy to understand as he speaks english with a strong french accent and sentence structure is not always whats in common use. I had to ask him to repeat quite often. I am writing this review so I remind myself never to call these items again as I often need to do projects like this. I also got the feeling that he expected someone who looked like me to be subservient to him and not question or contradict him. Le con. read more

Isaac, the project manager is very easy to work with, he is sincere and himself, and never did the hard-sell on me. I should have gone with this RNA Automatic Gates right away to build my automatic gate. Instead, wanting to save a lot of money, I had had one built by an unlicensed gate builder who was going to charge me way less than the three different licensed companies that had came to give me an estimate earlier. This unlicensed person showed me wonderful pictures of "his work". Not only did the one he built for us not look like the more decorative one I had picked out from his pictures, his driveway gate started falling apart that night and yes, after he was paid. I called him the next day to have him come back out to fix the gate, as he said he would if there might be any problems, but I could not reach him and never was able to. Asher came out to diagnose our Allomatic gate opener when we were experiencing close/open issues. Previously, I had called several gate repair companies, all of whom did really nothing except conclude the gate opener and mechanism (rack and pinion) should be replaced with a chain-driven, oh and charge me for their 'expertise', lol. Asher did a full diagnosis, and was able to make the adjustments to get the gate working again.
