I have commited 1 month with RnA gates but in the end, misqueues and mistakes constantly happened. I was getting the run around and getting the financing (and mostly I had to do the leg work when they need to). I have repeatedly told them what I wanted and i was getting the same question. Attention to detail was not there. Responses via email was not adequately returned. Calling the office to leave a message went into a blackhole. I felt i wasted 1 month of my commited time that they cannot get done I needed to walkaway and find someone else. read more

I scheduled an onsite appointment, and the initial experience went well. The technician arrived, evaluated the gate, and provided an estimate. I was satisfied with the proposed monthly pricing for ongoing gate maintenance and was actually ready to move forward with the service. Unfortunately, the problem came when I tried to sign up. I attempted to follow up and get the monthly service started but was unable to get ahold of anyone. After making the effort to become a recurring customer and not receiving the necessary follow-through, I eventually gave up and moved on to another provider. I gave 2 stars because the onsite appointment and pricing were satisfactory. However, being responsive and making it easy for a customer to actually start the service is just as important as providing the estimate. read more

Was scheduled for a morning to visit on site. Tech said he needs to come at a later time (~2 hours later). Then told us that he have to postponed in the afternoon appt. Agreed then again cant show up at all. He kept pushing it back the appt 3x times (!) and then no follow up. If can't fulfill the appt as promised just say so upfront rather than kept wasting our time where we could have moved on to another company that actually wants our business. Unacceptable customer service. Just that in itself, I don't recommend. read more

Wow! Great service overall. We called RNA because our gate stayed open all night, Isaac the technician came the same day and found out what the problem immediately. The issue was just our photo eye sensor and he fix it on the spot. He only charged us 90$, that is much lest then average service call in the Bay Area. ( I know that as a service company owner myself). Great experience with RNA and Isaac. read more

We hired RNA initially to fix a problem with our gate. Charged $900 to replace batteries in the motors that open the gate. That did not solve the problem. Then charged us to replace a part to get it right. Totaled over $2000.00. That didn't correct the problem. In their attempt to correct another problem, the gate will not open manually either. They never solved anything, but they were happy to collect their fees. I hired A & D Automatic gates, RWC. They came out before the scheduled repair and fixed everything. We ordered one motor, and everything is working now. Beware of the persuasive sales tactics at RNA. Sorry, but true. read more

This company quoted 4 times more than all other estimates I was given. $17K to stain a redwood fence along the driveway is outrageous in my opinion. After, he lowered estimate to $14K which is outrageous!! If they send Don, run! They also quoted $7K to powder coat automatic gate which was more than twice I was quoted from others. read more

An obnoxious young man came to give a quote. The visit was at their request as they did not want to give a quote by phone or using pitures! His supreme arrogance and entitlement was what stuck out most. His lack of knowledge was second. Some of his recommendations were total rubbish based on information I have from well rated gate installers I used and have decided to use now. E.g he claimed using casters (that he called wheels) was old fashioned and nobody used them anymore. Two 5 star rated companies told me that spring loaded casters were essential for the size of gate we were planning. He also wouldn't have known what spring loaded caster was as he said the wheels wouldnt fit on the driveway because of the slope. His price was one of the highest and I got a quote for about 1/3 lower and have decided to use these guys as they seemed to understand structural engineering like professionals. Besides their humble attitude was a selling point after interacting with someone who clearly did not want to work or did not need work. This young entitled boy walked out when I told him my time frame was 2 months to start the project. This was after he claimed he would take up to 6 weeks to manufacture the gate! The owner must be his papa or partner. No other employee would behave so arrogantly. I did call to complain about his behaviour but his company did not seem to care. Another thing is his words are not always easy to understand as he speaks english with a strong french accent and sentence structure is not always whats in common use. I had to ask him to repeat quite often. I am writing this review so I remind myself never to call these items again as I often need to do projects like this. I also got the feeling that he expected someone who looked like me to be subservient to him and not question or contradict him. Le con. read more

RNA installed my LA500 gate opener. The service was very code and was done with high quality. Asher (the sales person) and the installation crew were very helpful with programming of the device and the MyQ app. From first contact to finish it took only a few days! RNA has put in a very strong and beautiful driveway gate on my driveway and I am beyond pleased and happy. Isaac, the project manager is very easy to work with, he is sincere and himself, and never did the hard-sell on me. I should have gone with this RNA Automatic Gates right away to build my automatic gate. Instead, wanting to save a lot of money, I had had one built by an unlicensed gate builder who was going to charge me way less than the three different licensed companies that had came to give me an estimate earlier. This unlicensed person showed me wonderful pictures of "his work". Not only did the one he built for us not look like the more decorative one I had picked out from his pictures, his driveway gate started falling apart that night and yes, after he was paid. I called him the next day to have him come back out to fix the gate, as he said he would if there might be any problems, but I could not reach him and never was able to. I reported him to the authorities and wrote on Yelp about the whole fiasco. Save yourself from the mistake I made. Go with licensed, and I can highly recommend hiring RNA Automatic Gates. read more

Asher came out to diagnose our Allomatic gate opener when we were experiencing close/open issues. Previously, I had called several gate repair companies, all of whom did really nothing except conclude the gate opener and mechanism (rack and pinion) should be replaced with a chain-driven, oh and charge me for their 'expertise', lol. Asher did a full diagnosis, and was able to make the adjustments to get the gate working again. He did indicate that there may be the need to further examine the mother board - but...if not needed, wait. I appreciate honesty, competence and partnership. read more
