So I took my car in here to get bodywork done after I hit the deer not only did they hold my truck for almost 2 months, but the truck look good upon receiving it, but not even four months later all of the paint work and bodywork they did completely failed. Here's photos of my bumper with all the paint completely peeling off now 10 out of 10 don't recommend go to any other body shop. Do not go here. This is not on Seymour Ford. Please pass this along. My Dad lives in Michigan. I'm 100% P&T disabled veteran who lives in Virginia. I am struggling w/ combat related injuries both physically and mentally. He hasn't been able to be here to help me with my suicide struggles (My 14 yro committed suicide last year around the holidays).His 2017 F-250 hasn't been fixed for "Adaptive Steering Fault". It's been in Since 10/6. It's been pretty much, "well get to is whenever, not a high priority". He has missed my first steps. And they will miss another year not here to help me. Purchased a car in July. Realized the backup camera wasn't working. Called to have Seymour order part & replace. Months later come to find out they lost the part. Once contacted ordered again. By this time it is now end of March. I get a call from Jim stating the part is in. I call back to set up appointment & Jim was very rude, condescending & disrespectful. While on phone he stated they called numerous times & left numerous messages. When in fact the only call received was the call at the end of March. My husband called to set up appointment & specifically told Jim to call him when finished & gave him his number. When completed they called me & not my husband. When I brought this up to the woman at the counter when picking up she said was her fault she called the wrong number. When in fact she wasn't told to call my husband. So not only was Jim very rude, he clearly cannot follow directions either. Never again will I go to Seymour Ford. read more

Nothing quick about their "Quick" Lube. Walked in for an oil change and was warned that there were 5 cars in front of me. Not ideal but ok I'll wait. 2 hours and 7 cars later my truck was still in the parking lot with no sign at all of getting in any time soon. The last 2 of the 7 had just gone in. I've gone here several times before and it's always slow but this was just crazy. Finally got frustrated enough that I made an appointment with a different ford dealer in Ann Arbor, asked for my keys and left. One lady kept asking for a ride home so she could just leave her car. After about a half hour to an hour she gave up and left. Worst of all there's no communication, no update to how long you'll be stuck in their waiting area, no offering of alternatives. I don't know about anyone else but I work for a living, who has time for this nonsense. It's a bummer though, I bought my tires there (I also bought the truck there) and liked having them rotated for free during my oil change. I'm unlikely to go back and I'll have to pay someone to do it now. read more

The service at Seymour Ford is beyond anything I would expect from a business. I had a need for service on my truck to install a trailer brake as I was leaving for the Smokey mountains on a Saturday. The dealer I had scheduled the service with lost power and could not get my brake installed. That's when Danielle and her team stepped up in a huge way. I couldn't get to pick up my truck an deliver it in time and she had my truck picked up from Brooklyn, took it to Jackson, and had it ready when I got there from Lansing. I cannot say enough about the thoughtfulness and caring that I was shown during this time. They have my eternal gratitude for helping me and my family when we needed it. I bought my car from this Ford dealer it had a problem the first day. It's only a 2014 used certified Ford fusion and it had a clean title off car fax. But I didn't think it was gonna be that bad of problem at first. There was no check engine light. When I started the car it would start rumbling and the rpm gauge would keep jumping and then the engine would shut off completely on it's own soon after. This happened while the car first cut on and happened while it was in park/drive/reverse. This would occur 2 out of 5 times seconds after I start the car and switched gears so I took it back to them as soon as possible because it only got worse. They had no idea what the problem was, I forgot what they said they cleaned and after they thought it was safe to drive they let me drive it home again the same day. I started driving it for a while then a week later it happens while I'm out of town, in Southfield, three times in a row on my way home. Twice trying to leave a restaurant parking lot and in the middle of a street again after I restarted my car and pulled out onto the road.... so I just guided the vehicle into the marathon gas station because it wouldn't go any faster when I hit the gas before the car shut off completely, I was steering it in neutral til I stopped at a pump and the car still was shaking hard. I turned it off myself that time. Started it again after waiting about ten minutes. It took about 5 seconds hesitating to start. I was wondering if I'd even make it back to Jackson safely at that point which I did thank God. Other than this the salesman Joel White and everyone was really nice and he wanted to see me leave with a car. That's my only good experience at Ford Seymour, the customer service was good only to come to find out they aren't that great after once you sign all the papers and you own it. There is no way this car should've passed a 172 point inspection in the condition it's in right now. I've had it for about three weeks now. This problem now occurs randomly. I went to the dealer myself and they didn't even take a gander at my car which had the same problem occur about 4 times in one day. They said they don't have time for it until the 24th of August and they couldn't give me a loaner vehicle until then so nothing was resolved. Hopefully they resolve this problem to avoid on road collision. THREE MONTHS LATER EDIT: They still can't fix my car and they replaced three parts so far and I've been in 5+ loaners. I've been driving their loaners half the time I dined the contract to buy my car and I'm still forced to make car note payments. EDIT: Problem resolved but I wouldn't recommend the dealer. read more

Take a moment and read this review to really appreciate how Seymour Ford takes care of their customers. - Yes, it took over 2 weeks to get an appointment with the diesel "expert" to discover the cause of a persistent oil leak. But I figured I want the best working on my work vehicle. - So I dropped it off first thing Monday morning but it took the "expert" 2 days to find the leak. Apparently, it was a big job costing almost $2000 to fix, but I wanted the engine to last and I appreciate them being thorough. ((Keep in mind that this is my sole work vehicle so every day without it costs me revenue.)) -However, on Friday (5 days after I dropped it off) I called again to check the status and the service rep said it might not be done at all. When I explained I could not postpone more business for this protracted repair he said he'd call me back and that they weren't open Saturday so it might not be done until Monday. However, Monday I had to be in Cleveland...No questions asked. - Again, the rep never called back so I showed up at 4pm to wait. That rep had to leave due to a family illness so I was reassigned to a new rep, Andrew, who is awesome! - At 6pm they said it was done and the mechanic took it for a "test drive" just to make sure it was right. So I paid and started to drive home. - I immediately noticed the turbo was leaking air profusely, so I called and Andrew said to bring it back. - Upon review the mechanic had apparently broken some other parts so Andrew mandated the now mechanic fix the leak so I could at least use the van Monday and said they would replace the broken parts at their own expense. - A little after 7pm the mechanic gave the van back after revving the hell out of it so everyone on I-94 could hear it. However, Andrew and the main Service Manager stuck around til after 7pm which I greatly appreciate, but it's hard to make up for 5 days of poor workmanship and scheduling. - The next week Andrew had called multiple times to schedule another appointment and worked me into the schedule the very next day ahead of everyone else. - Not only did they fix everything, but even serviced the transmission completely free. They had two persons test drive it to make absolutely certain it was indeed repaired. And it was. - Although the experience was extremely subpar at first, Seymour stuck with it to make sure it was done right and I was happy in the end. Unlike many places that just say, "Oh well, you can't make everyone happy." Seymour does care about their customers. read more

Stopped by to have an under body shield checked on my 2018 F150 that came loose this weekend. The service writer checked with Jim, the service manager, about the shield. I was informed that it was probably the fault of whoever changed the oil and I would have to take the truck to them. After owning GM products for over forty years, this is my first Ford. I was told that I could talk with Jim but I will instead advertise for him with this review. His lack of professionalism is beyond comprehension in today's market. I would not be comfortable ever returning to Seymour Ford due to his curt reply and total lack of customer service. read more

Okay so we go looking for a car that's on the website. While driving around their lot looking for it the sales man swears the car is being prepped and will be in the lot by Wednesday. I say to the chap "why would you advertise a car that's not even on your lot yet", he doesn't really have a satisfactory answer for this. My wife calls inside by phone to be told that "it should not still be up that car sold quite some time shop". This is called *bait and switch* and the sign of a disreputable dealer. read more

My wife recently ran over a deer on the highway which separated the bottom trim from her drivers side fender on her new Taurus. Took the car to the Body Shop and a gentleman came out and put it back together and advised we should have the alignment checked. Made the appt they made some adjustments and we are good as new. They even saved her spot since she was running late. read more

Thank you body shop crew for the impeccable repairs done on my family's Charger! Such a change from the damaged car I dropped off after running into a shredded semi truck tire tread head on! Service manager misled me about coming to have my shuddering transmission worked on and knew weeks ahead before I could get an appointment for working on this really common problem, as it turns out. I understood I had an appointment and would wait until it was done. Got lost and arrived there an hour late and was told they didn't have the part and I'd have to wait days to get it fixed. I should have gone 30 miles home and gone to another dealership. Given a loaner with different dimensions, I scraped the underside on a curbstone when parking because the front was longer than my car and got charged over $400 for repairs. read more

Never again!! Ordered new 2010 Taurus SHO from this dealership. This car has been into the dealership for service work more than a dozen times and the problems just don't get fixed. Purchased premium care extended warranty which somehow doesn't cover many of the repairs that have been needed. Also purchased 3 year maintenance plan to save money on oil changes for the first 3 years. Bought it because it was presented to me as a cost savings. Ended up paying $148 per oil change cause it expired before I needed the six oil changes on the plan. If I would have used all six changes that I bought it would still have cost me $100 per oil change!! I paid in advance 3 times as much for oil changes that normally run about $30-$35. My fault for trusting what this dealership told me vs. what I actually bought. In my opinion what they did to me is Legal Theft. I have learned a very costly lesson. I will never ever do business with this dealership again. They are not honest or trustworthy. Hard lessons learned!! read more

I can't say this was completely unexpected as I heard from both the tow driver & other service customers while waiting, Seymour's can be Very Expensive with the service work preformed at a somewhat leisurely pace. The repair itself seems to be well done. They have lived up to both the better and worse aspects of their reputation. read more

I know this should be about business itself but the office is a joke. Got fired for calling in sick with bronchitis and strep throat. Manager told me it wasn't fair for her to work 40 hours plus the extra couple that I would have been there to cover closing. (But it was apparently fair for someone to be sick with bronchitis and strep with a high fever to come into work and expose everyone else to it as well!) then she failed to send me the last check I should have received I had to get ahold of her and she says "if I missed any hours I didn't mean to" which makes me wish I kept closer track to my hours because I was probably getting screwed out of some of those also -_- then a couple months later I need a paper filled out for proof of employment for my daughters insurance, I fax the paper over to the manager who doesn't fill it out and send it back so I get ahold of her she says she sent it straight to the company and that it was missing a page so I go to tell her that I can re fax it over and she has blocked my number! All in all of you wanna work there especially in the office be sure to never call in and keep super close track of your hours and never need anything else from her bc she'll be the child she is a block you!! read more
