The covered tables and multiple trash cans made grilling and relaxing easy. The bathrooms were ok but resembled prison style metal toilets. If you are going to camp here at night, expect a lake party. Loud music past midnight and out of control kids running around until midnight are the norm. One family pulled up around 10:30 with 3 cars, let their kids run wild, were loud and did not go home until after midnight. Daytime use is fine. If you want peace and quiet at night, go somewhere else.

The park was closed after the 9/11/01 attacks and re-opened on 6/4/10 so the fish have had a long time to thrive. Squaw Creek Park is owned and operated by Luminant. The reservoir serves as the cooling source for two nuclear power units. The lake's surface area is approximately 3,200 acres and average depth is approximately 46 feet. There are five divided boat launches, a dock and numerous picnic areas with tables. Reservations for boat fishing are required; however, guests do not need to register for bank fishing. The admission fee for bank fishing is $5 per person. Admission for bank fishing is free to those ages 16 and under and 80 and over. A park maintenance and development fee of $30 (cash only) will be charged per boat.

There are a couple of boat/fishing docks. There are also restrooms, though I did not check them out. It struck me as, perhaps, a decent place to swim and have a picnic. From: http://www.lakegranbury.net/hunter-park/ Hunter Park is located on the west side of Lake Granbury just north of the city of Granbury, Texas.  This is one of the best parks on the lake to spend the afternoon or for some overnight camping.  The camping in this park and in all parks along Lake Granbury is considered primitive camping.  There are restrooms, but there is no water or electric on any campsites.  There are no real defined campsites only some picnic tables along the edge of the lake.  All camping is free and first come first serve. There is plenty of shade in Hunter Park.  You can easily park your tent under a tree for some shade during the day.  The park does have a nice fishing pier and a nice boat ramp.  There is an old football field in the park as well.  It does not look like it has been used in a while. Brazos River Authority Park Rules: Disorderly conduct is prohibited. No dumping of household garbage permitted. No littering.  All trash must be placed in barrels. Off-road operation of vehicles is prohibited. No dirt bikes or all-terrain vehicles allowed. All pets must be kept on a leash. No livestock permitted. No fireworks or firearms allowed. No glass containers allowed. This is a beautiful park on Lake Granbury.  It is one of the best parks you will find on the lake for day-use or for camping.
