That being said, I'm surprised this place was a clean as it was. Couldn't tell if swimming was allowed or not. Did not look like a very nice place to swim either. Bottom line: Some trees, so some shade.

They truly have everything you could need in one place, which saves you from having to drive all over town or visit multiple stores. The selection is top-tier, well organized, and perfect for any angler whether you're local or visiting from abroad like me. What really stood out was the hospitality. The people there are welcoming, knowledgeable, and make you feel right at home and comfortable the moment you walk in. Coming from Otter Town and seeing a tackle shop run this well was impressive. Tri Lakes Tackle Town sets the standard for what a fishing store should be. Highly recommended. I also visited a pawn store near buy amazing people highly recommended

The covered tables and multiple trash cans made grilling and relaxing easy. The bathrooms were ok but resembled prison style metal toilets. If you are going to camp here at night, expect a lake party. Loud music past midnight and out of control kids running around until midnight are the norm. One family pulled up around 10:30 with 3 cars, let their kids run wild, were loud and did not go home until after midnight. Daytime use is fine. If you want peace and quiet at night, go somewhere else.

There are a couple of boat/fishing docks. There are also restrooms, though I did not check them out. It struck me as, perhaps, a decent place to swim and have a picnic. I think I saw BBQ grills there too. I did not see a potable water supply, but maybe it was in the restrooms. There are a couple of baseball fields here too, but it did not look like they have used recently. Bottom line: Like I sad, need more investigation when I have more time. Edit: So I went looking for more info, and found this. From: http://www.lakegranbury.net/hunter-park/ Hunter Park is located on the west side of Lake Granbury just north of the city of Granbury, Texas.  This is one of the best parks on the lake to spend the afternoon or for some overnight camping.  The camping in this park and in all parks along Lake Granbury is considered primitive camping.  There are restrooms, but there is no water or electric on any campsites.  There are no real defined campsites only some picnic tables along the edge of the lake.  All camping is free and first come first serve. There is plenty of shade in Hunter Park.  You can easily park your tent under a tree for some shade during the day.  The park does have a nice fishing pier and a nice boat ramp.  There is an old football field in the park as well.  It does not look like it has been used in a while. Brazos River Authority Park Rules: Disorderly conduct is prohibited. No dumping of household garbage permitted. No littering.  All trash must be placed in barrels. Off-road operation of vehicles is prohibited. No dirt bikes or all-terrain vehicles allowed. All pets must be kept on a leash. No livestock permitted. No fireworks or firearms allowed. No glass containers allowed. This is a beautiful park on Lake Granbury.  It is one of the best parks you will find on the lake for day-use or for camping.
