The park has a lighted full court basketball court, picnic tables, a splashpad (with seating for the adults) and a pretty amazing picnic shelter. The grass and the plants look dry in gray But this is the closest one near me and I needed to walk my dog. I didn't walk my dog through the path because there is a snake warning. There's a basketball court, baseball court and a playground for kids, the parking lot has 2 sides, overall it's an ok park, it doesn't look well maintained to be honest the trailer park next door looks greener and more alive. Probably 20 people or more had set their chairs on the concrete dance floor and when the MC who has been doing this for years came up to speak he did not say anything to these people taking up the dance floor! Several people around us left saying if there is no place to dance what's the point? The solution is to have a sign printed and placed on front of stage that says NO CHAIRS ALLOWED ON CONCRETE DANCE FLOOR. Simple solution but I bet they will not do this! Shame on the MC for not having a backbone to stand up for the rest of us!!

GREAT PLACE TO RENT A PONTOON BOAT in Granbury, Tx on Lake Granbury.!!!!…read moreMy wife, son, daughter-in-law, and two grand girls (ages 11 and 14) had a blast on a 9 person pontoon rented from Sam's Dock last weekend. The weather was perfect and the 5-star service provided by Cameron (great enthusiasm for his job) was really appreciated by our group. It was our first time on Lake Granbury, so he gave us a great orientation to the lake and how to stay in the deep channel away from any trouble or shallow areas. We were able to see availability on the Sams Dock website, and secured our start time reservation right there online. We rented a large pontoon that was super clean, and in perfect working order with good safety features of latched doors, safety equipement on board, and safety 3ft high wall around the deck that created a safe platform inside for the kids. (Good to have boundaries for the kids!) Although we didn't do it, we could have rented a tube to pull behind the boat as the motor was quite powerful. Ii easily was able to go up to 35 or 40 miles per hour. (tubbing next time.) The girls did swim from the boat and the fold-down ladder helped get them back in the boat easily. We rented the boats for 2 hours as it was our first time to try out the lake. Next time I'd like to try half-a-day or full day so we can stop for lunch and do some fishing. Having owned a boat for 12 years before, it is a much better deal to rent. It saves a whole lot of money and a whole lot of work and a whole lot of worry about the maintenance of the boat. **** Thank you Cameron at Sam's dock for a great experience!

The park's website and a sign at the entry gate let visitors know when the tracks are visible. We went after a heavy rain so the tracks were not visible but we still paid the day use fee and enjoyed the park. The park has tons of hiking trails, a swimming hole called the Blue Hole, Ranger led nature talks, picnic areas, camping sites, and a park store. The park also has 2 large Dinosaurs that were once displayed at the World's Fair alongside some tracks that were excavated from the park. There is a privately owned RV park and a privately owned Dinosaur museum nearby.
