I had an amazing experience having my sewing machine repair done by this company. I had purchased an old Piedmont machine used, and was completely sewing-machine illiterate so to speak. I had assumed that I would get it serviced, and then pay separately for an intro course somewhere. All I was able to tell Henry about the machine was 'it's a Piedmont' and 'it might need a new belt' and sent a photo a few days before. Despite this little information I gave, Henry appeared on the day and time of the appointment with a whole toolkit and spare parts. He even brought a light, which was useful as my kitchen wasn't well lit. He did an assessment, noted the belt I had worried about was actually correct. However the string tension mechanism was broken. He had a spare one. He installed it, he showed me how there were small points of rust underneath, likely from a flood ( the lady who sold it had said there was a flood actually) but that it wasn't enough to interfere with functionality of the machine. He took time confirming each component was functioning properly. Then, he calibrated it, sewing to confirm that the top string was the right tension but the bottom string was producing loose stitches. Once the machine was repaired, tuned up and calibrated he ran me through the threading, maintenance and bright line do's and don't of that specific machine.
He was super kind to my family also, even though I was running late so the house was chaotic when he arrived, he wasn't bothered and simply went to work. What a great business! Thank you Henry for your time and attention detail and kind, respectful attitude! read more
